History

Elisabella was born in the heart of New York to Roberta Wright, a rich young woman whose parents were CEOs of respectable companies. Elisabella's birth was something of a scandal-- no one knew who her father was. It was assumed that Roberta had been out partying and had a lapse in judgement. Her parents disapproved strongly, but agreed to raise the child. They had no idea that Elisabella was in fact a demigod, a daughter of the Greek god Hypnos, who had enchanted her mother for one night. Elisabella was born and soon grew to be a beautiful young girl. Her grandparents doted on her and spoiled her with exquisite things. They hoped to raise her into a respectable woman, a young and daring socialite who would bring even more prosperity to the Wright family. But this dream was just that-- a dream. Elisabella grew up with no interest in partying or "pretty things". She instead favored sports and mechanics. She loved science and cared little for dresses and makeup. In other words, she was a total tomboy. Elisabella grew tired of her grandparents endless demands and expectations of her. Her mother, who dared not speak out against her own parents, was no help. Tired of living her life, Elisabella decided to leave and start anew on her own. On one of her grandparents' many business trips, Elisabella snuck away. She ventured forth into the city of Portland, determined never to go back to her former life. Her mother and grandparents were horrorstruck, and tried desperately to find her. But Elisabella had planned well, and vanished into the city. She had no plan for the future, and so wandered aimlessly around the dirtiest parts of Portland. This was when Elisabella had her first monster attack. A starved empousa found her sleeping in an alleyway. It was just about to go in for the kill when another demigod found her. This demigod was Arista Mireldis, a daughter of Melinoe. She kille the empousa and woke Elisabella up. Then she explained everything: Elisabella must've been a demigod. Elisabella wanted to believe her badly-- after all, this would mean a life of adventure and danger-- but she couldn't bring herself to accept the fact. Surely her family would have known this, surely they would have told her. But Arista invited Elisabella to stay with her and her brother, and Elisabella was not in the position to decline. WIP.

Powers Offensive Children of Hypnos have the ability to send a small wave of energy which will cause anyone effected to fall asleep for a short time; after the effects have worn off, a person is immune to further effects of this for a moderate time. Children of Hypnos have the ability to, upon direct contact, to force someone to fall asleep for a moderate time; after the effects have worn off, a person is immune to further effects of this for a short time. Defensive Children of Hypnos have the ability to cause someone near them to feel extremely tired and become sluggish for a short time. Passive Children of Hypnos have the innate ability to cause others to feel mildly tired in their presence. Supplementary Children of Hypnos can put people to sleep for a short time; after awakening, they will feel extremely refreshed, as if they had just slept a full night. Children of Hypnos can meditate in order to speed up their rate of healing; they are constantly drained while they do this. Children of Hypnos have the ability to look into people’s dreams as they sleep. Children of Hypnos can create opium and use it for a multitude or puposes from helping to numb someone's pain to putting someone to sleep or making them feel drugged. The effects of the opium wear off after a short to moderate time 3 Months After Character is Made Children of Hypnos can create a field of poppies so tall that it obscures the sight and slows down anyone they are fighting, they only last for a short time before they wither away 6 Months After Chracter is Made Children of Hypnos are able to astral project, they can use this for multiple reasons, however, their physical body is vulnerable and they can not effect anything on the physical plane while astral projecting. 9 Months After Chracter is Made Children of Hypnos can take control of another person’s body while they are asleep for a short time, however they cannot do anything that the person would not normally do themselves; the person being controlled feels as if they are dreaming and will vaguely remember the experience. Traits It is not uncommon for children of Hypnos to suffer from narcolepsy, a sleep disorder that causes excessive sleepiness.
