Makena has always been a really sweet girl growing up she took after mom. She tends to stick to her own beliefs and will get passionate when defending them causing some of her classmates to view her a kinda bitchy

History
|
Natalia met Noctus on a warm windy day in a park while she was feeding the ducks. He sat next to her and they soon got to talking. After about three hours of talking and duck feeding he invited her out for a hot chocolate at a nearby coffee shop. They talk into late in the night and he invited her out the next night. After a few weeks of dating almost every night and a lot of long talks she gave herself up to him. She woke up the next morning prepared to tell him how much she loved him but rolled over to an empty bed and a note explaining who he was.
Makena grew up to be a pretty young lady who made friends easily. She soon became close to a classmate of hers named Woody. They started their friendship in homeroom on her first day of 7th grade and were always close after that. One day soon after her 14th birthday she was walking home with Woody when out of nowhere they were attacked by a what at first appeared to be a large german shepard, but it was upon close inspection she noticed his glowing red eyes. She was scared of this strange dog but stepped in front of Woody so he would have a chance to get away as he had difficulty walking. As she stood there trying to think of something to do she turned to woody and he threw her a bronze sword. She dodged to the left when the dog jumped at hert just missing his snapping jaw, and turned to see how Woody was holding up. It was to her surprise to watch Woody shove his own smaller sword into the dogs side injuring it before yelling at her to aim for the heart. With a lucky stab the monster lurched and then fell tho the floor. When the monster exploded into gold dust she turned and saw Woody was now sporting a pair of goat legs. she was of course quite shocked and asked him about this new development. He then explained that he was a Satyr from Camp Half-Blood and told her she needed to go to the camp to be safe and learn how to fight. She agreed but begged to be able to tell her mother where she was going.
Natalia told her how much she loved her and explained who her father was. After a tearful good bye with her mother and a promise to write each other at least once a week she head out with Woody. The trip would have been uneventful if Woody had not decided gotten them lost. So what should have been a relatively short trip from Michigan to camp turned into a tour of the united states and most of Canada.
The only thing good that came of the long trip was after the monster all the monster attacks she was pretty well trained with her sword. The bad part was Woody not only got her lost but also hit on any nymph he saw along the way. Finally luck was on her side and they met up with a Hare nymph who was on her way to camp as well, so she ended up crossing the boarder of Camp Half-Blood on the day of her 16th birthday.

Offensive
- Children of Notus are able to use hot air itself to slice objects, focusing a current of wind to the point where it takes on a sharp edge, which the caster launches at foes. Although this attack does usually slashing damage, some users are able to focus it into single piercing stab like a bullet. The attacks will burn an opponent slightly on contact.
- Children of Notus can turn hot air into weapons, they can only wield one air construct at a time. They can also coat their existing weapons in hot air for a short time, heating them up and enhancing their offensive capabilities.
Defensive
- Children of Notus have the ability to create a dome shaped torrent of wind, roughly two to three times the size of the user, which can be used to block attacks for a very short time.
- Children of Notus have the ability to create gusts of hot wind which slow the movements of all affected by them as well as slowly burning anyone hit by the wind. The gusts can deflect projectile weapons.
Passive
- Children of Notus are stronger in the warm summer months and on warm days.
- Children of Notus have the ability to bring pure water to a boil at will using a hot breeze.
- Children of Notus always emit an aura of heat, making others around them feel slightly warm. The user can shut it off for a long time if they choose to.
- Children of Notus are incredibly resistant to the heat, including heat stroke and heat induced dehydration.
Supplementary
- Children of Notus have the ability to hover or fly, however, the longer they fly the more it drains them.
- Children of Notus have the ability to call upon the winds to speed their movements or attacks; this can also be used oppositely to slow the movements or attacks of others.
- Children of Notus have the ability to create a dense fog which obstructs the view of everyone nearby which dissipates after a short time.
- Children of Notus are able to create a small localized rain storm, combined with winds, they can use this to not only soak their opponents but drive rain into them, distracting them and slowing them down, however anyone standing within the area will get wet, friend or foe.
3 Months After Character is Made(4-16-16)
- Children of Notus have the ability to call upon a focused heat storm which burns a small area, drying out all plant life inside it. Anyone standing inside the storm may be scalded by the heat, and the longer they stand in the affected area, the worse the damage. The area can not be any more than two to three times the size of the user and doesn’t affect them.
6 Months After Character is Made(7-16-16)
- Children of Notus can temporarily cause the oxygen around an opponent to be extremely hot so that when they breathe in it causes minor to moderate burns to their throat. The power does not cause any severe or permanent damage. The longer this power is in effect, the more energy is drained from the user.
9 Months After Character is Made(10-16-16)
- Children of Notus have the ability to shed their flesh and turn into a state of pure steam for a short time and while in this state the user is granted flight, becomes immune to all attacks, their existing powers over heat and wind are enhanced and anything they touch is intensely burned. Once the user changes back they will be extremely drained and immobile for a long time, and they could possibly pass out from the experience.

- Children of Notus have a natural preference for places in the Southern Hemisphere, the further south the better. They also prefer anywhere warm in general.
