Cesar Matias Son of Lelantos ~ Member of Opus Owned by: Brocky292 "I think part of the reason we hold on to something so tight is because we fear something so great won't happen twice." Cesar is a child of Lelantos and is currently residing in the Opus Superum dorms at the Sanctuary. He has been at the sanctuary since May 2014 and is currently single, however he does love Agnes Iglesias. His sexuality is Heterosexual, and he is currently 21. Due to a curse placed upon him by Hyperion he will slowly slip into an insane state, however it has yet to set in... Personality Cesar is a very abrupt and cold person. He has a rough exterior, always showing off as an aloof individual, and as someone who is harsh in both words and actions. One will expect someone who has those qualities to be reckless and impulsive, yet he's clearly not. Although he acts genuinely cruel to most people, underlying his actions lie crafty and cunning schemes. But that is just the first two layers of his personality, which varies as much as how the wind blows in uncertain directions. However he does have a soft side for those who he cares for, it rarely shows. He will show utmost concern, compassion, and loyalty to those he cares for. Traits that are hard to perceive under his hard brassy surface. WIP History Prologue Journal #1 Journal #2 Epilogue Most demigod upbringings are either happy or an endless vortex of pain and heartbreak. Just like most, my life was filled with heartbreak and lose. In order to fully understand everything however, you need to start at the very beginning, to when I was fist conceived. Now normally the story would go "the mortal met the god, and they had a wonderful night together". If only my story had started out so happy, instead it started out in the year of 1994. It was an oddly dark day in September, the wind was blowing heavily. My mother, a once beautiful young woman named Bianca Matias was coming home from one of her dance shows she and a group of flamenco dancers held in the theatre in a nearby town. She had a particularly rough night after the show, her car had stopped working thirty minutes away from her house. With darkness soon approaching she swiftly maneuvered through the shadows, only to bump into a man. The man was striking, but she had not intentions on pursuing him, she was tired and a tad bit cranky. But the man had tried to pursue her. He pinned her against a tree, and after knocking her unconscious, had his way with her. Being able to only feel the sensation through the whole ordeal, she knew exactly what the man had done. He had raped my mother... She sobbed the entire way home, and when she finally got home she broke down. Crying into her pillow, she never moved. Until she first had signs of my future arrival. She was terrified, being only twenty she had no clue how to raise a child, especially on her own. Knowing she would look me in the eyes every day and see the man who had raped her, she didn't even want me. Despite this fact, she kept me. Something I still don't understand, every time she told me the story, I was disgusted. Not only in the man who had raped my mother, but also in myself. I felt as if I wasn't the child that she deserved. Whenever I mentioned it to her, she would push it aside and say I was the only one she needed. My life was normal for awhile. I lived in Spain until the age of five, until we moved to Costa Rica. After that we never really stayed in one place. My mother claimed she kept seeing the man who raped her. We moved constantly, the longest we ever stayed in one spot was when we lived in Russia. We stayed from the time I was six to when I was seven. I never unpacked my bags, I knew we'd just move not that long after. She eventually gave up when I was nine. At the time we were living in Montreal, Canada. I was coming home from school only to find my mother with a noose around her neck. I was left alone in the house. Unable to call 911, I sat holding my mother. Life was a blur after that, I lived with a foster couple till the age of eleven, when I was adopted by a family with two kids already. The parents being Cecilia and Diego. I never fit in with them, I never tried to, I didn't want to... •12 November 2007 My day started out normal, I ate breakfast with my "siblings" and we walked to school. I was the oldest of the three by two years. The next oldest was Malia, a quiet and sheltered ten year old. The last one was a little girl named Cali. She was only four and just starting kindergarten. I had only been living with them for a year and they were the only two I ever spoke to. I was terrible in school as I could hardly understand my teachers. My adoptive parents tried teaching me English, it kinda helped. We were walking home from school, I was holding Malia's hand as I carried Cali with the other. When we had gotten home we found our parents vehicle was gone, with a note on the door saying they'd be home by six. When I walked in I found the house was a mess. As I had gotten used to the house being neat and clean, I knew something was wrong. I put Cali down and told Malia to take her to her bedroom. As I walked around to the kitchen, the fridge door was open. As I went to close it something stepped away from it, the thing looked towards me. The first thing I had noticed was it's eye. It's one eye. It instilled fear right through me. I couldn't move, and it then walked over to me with a wooden club in hand and smashed it into the side of my head. I woke up in a cave. Probably high up in the mountains of Canada, I couldn't really tell. Things were black except for one torch, under it was a pile of bones. I was chained up across from the monster, which from my social studies class I figured it was a Cyclops. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would see one. I didn't make a single noise when waking up, my head throbbed. I spotted a knife next to me, the Cyclops was clearly stupid for leaving it there. He was making something in a giant pot, I didn't know what. Not long after I got the knife in my hands, I managed to pick the lock and escape through a path that weaved through the mountains. I heard noises coming from behind me, and soon the Cyclops caught up. He was screaming odd things like "demigod" and "half-blood". Before he could say another word my adoptive father had rushed to my aid. He had a katana strapped to his back, and with one swoop of his blade, the Cyclops turned into dust. We got home and Diego had handed me a book. What seemed to be a journal, he told me to retell everything that happened to me up until this day he then left the room without explaining what had just happened, so now you know why I'm writing to you... •19 September 2010 I kept writing in the journal my adoptive father gave me, but nothing I wrote was important. It just ended up getting erased or ripped out. The so called "monster attacks" weren't all that important, well according to Diego at least. One of the attacks was a herd of fire breathing horses, which just like my first attack Diego saved me from. After the run in with the horses he finally explained to me what I was, and then later went on to say that he was as well a demigod son of Ares, and that he had a Satyr stay outside the house and that he detected I was a demigod as well. It was all very confusing. But the next attack was five days after, my birthday. I was celebrating with some kids from my new school. We had just moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico and I didn't want to seem like a loser so I invited over everyone in my grade. We were all having a good time. Almost everyone had left except for my girlfriend, until a lycanthrope burst out of the bush and began slashing it's claws at the two of us. Nothing had really hit me, except for a gash on my arm. But my girlfriend had her neck sliced upon. I screamed for help and Diego had came to my rescue yet again. Diego has finally had enough of having to protect me so we went on a plane, to New York. He took me to a place called Camp Half-Blood. I was placed in Hermes' Cabin with the camp director saying I'd only be in it until I was claimed by my godparent. I was fourteen after the two attacks occurred. It's been a year since I've been at camp, and I have yet to have been claimed... I stayed at camp for years, until I finally left at age sixteen. When I left I had yet to have been claimed. I moved back to Santa Fe and bought my own apartment. Not long after that I had been claimed by Lelantos, after being claimed Lelantos sent his oceanid wife Periboea to speak with me on why it had taken so long for me to be claimed. She explained that he didn't want me to be kicked out of camp as he didn't have a cabin. Apart of me understood and accepted it, but another part of me was furious. After Periboea left me alone to take a moment and let her words sink in, I went to the beach and sat in the sand. Not long after a man had came up, he had even begun speaking to me. He explained that he was a child of Krios, I didn't know why he was being so open to someone he just met, but he kept going. He went on and on for a good hour, until he finally asked my name. I said my name and he then caught me off guard by saying "So who's your godparent?" After we continued talking about my godparent, he took me further down the beach to a secluded area. Where a man sitting at a throne was watching us as we approached. When we got close enough to be face to face, the man introduced himself as Harold, a child of Hyperion as well, he even said that he could connect with the titan Hyperion. After speaking with the man for awhile, he had told me how Hyperion was short on followers, and he had even asked me to join him. After he explained that after every task I would get a reward, I accepted his offer, and went on to do his bidding. After three years of serving him, protecting myself from monsters, and doing Hyperion's biddings for him. He sent me on the hardest thing I would have to do yet. Hyperion sent me on a mission to find one of his daughters, a girl who'd gone rogue if you will, her name was Agnes Iglesias. He never told me why I needed to retrieve her for him. The only thing he said was "It must be kept secret, I'll tell you when you bring her to me. If you don't bring her back, there will be repercussions." After packing a bag I set off on my way to find her. After leaving Hyperion's main location in New York, I eventually went back to Santa Fe where Agnes was. After traveling around Santa Fe for awhile, I found her home, when I went inside she was packing a duffel bag. I summoned a large gust of wind and forced it towards her, smacking her head off the wall and sending her to the ground in an unconscious state. I finished packing her bags and carried her out of the house. I felt bad, but its what I had to do... After a flight to Memphis, Tennessee with neither of us speaking to each other, we ended up having to wait for a connecting flight. She seemed to be mad, most likely at me. Her facial features gave it away. "How about I by you dinner?" I asked, after she agreed to let me take her out for dinner, we walked over to a local pub and I bought us some dinner. By the time I had my first beer the next plane was ready to board. The flight to Concord, New Jersey (the destination Hyperion had wanted me to take her to) was much more enjoyable. She had opened up, and we got to know each other. I came to find her as a beautiful woman. Nothing like what I originally thought of her. She was kind despite what I did to get her to go to Concord. Eventually she fell asleep, and I kissed her softly on the lips, falling asleep afterwards myself. The Sleepy Hollow Cemetery was originally only going to be just a pit stop on our way to somewhere beyond Concord, New Jersey. We set up a small camp in the less visited parts of the cemetery. It wasn't luxurious, but it'd do for a couple of nights. Maybe only two hours after we set up camp we were found by a group of three demigods. From what I could hear their names were Kylie, Casper and Dani. I immediately began fighting for Agnes (half because she was top secret, half because I wanted to protect her), however my efforts weren't good enough to take on all three and I was subdued. Agnes appeared to be confused on whether she should have fought alongside me or go with Kylie back to camp as she was sent on a quest by Artemis to retrieve her. She was then easily subdued while distracted. After they got both Agnes and I under control they took us back to Camp Half-Blood, only fore me to escape, but not before promising Agnes I'd come back for her. After the whole incident, something that Agnes had said before the scuffle stuck in my head. She brought up how Hyperion had possessed her for most of her life, and that he tried to control her. It was then that I realized he was doing the same to me. So I left his fellowship. After awhile of traveling I reached the Broken Covenant. Where I was later accepted into Opus. But not before a curse was placed upon me (see above to find out what it is). Journal Before defecting to camp, he was involved in attempting to bring back Agnes Iglesias to her father Hyperion. However instead of following his orders he let her go as he had strong feelings for her, feelings his still has.
