Hwan Ji-hoon was a son of Asteria. During the time he went to camp, he went on a quest with this girl he loved. She was a daughter of Aphrodite. While the two were on the quest, they were in the underworld on a task. They've traveled for hours and were so tired, they stooped to rest and they happened to be near Nyx's temple (since she was also an underworld goddess). Hwan Ji-hoon was always a person who would do anything, anywhere no matter what situation they were in so he and his girlfriend basically had sex in Nyx's temple. Nyx saw this and got mad (cause, gods always hate this type of stuff) and punished Hwan Ji-hoonto serve Nyx and be away from the girl he loves. While Hwan Ji-hoon was serving her, Nyx started to have a thing for him but he won't shut up about the Aphrodite girl and how she's waiting for him. Nyx gets irritated by this and manipulates him so that he thinks the Aphrodite girl cheated on him. And in his gried, Nyx consoles him and sleeps with him. Nyx then has Hwan Ji-hoon's kid, give him the kid, and sends him home where the girl is waiting. She never did cheat on him and is devastated that he has Nyx's child, so she left him.
Hwan Hei Ryung had a fair childhood. She grew up learning a lot since her father wanted her to be successful in the future. She learned how to play the violin, piano and guitar. She also learned karate and boxing as well due to her father pressuring her to learn at least some self-defense since her pretty face could get beaten up anytime. At school she had friends but not a "best" friend, since most of her friends thought she was a pure slut. But when she was in 8th grade, she met Briana Starlight, a daughter of Astraeus, who became her best friend.
Hwan Hei Ryung had her 12th birthday party just with her dad. They were on a picnic but suddenly, a Scythian Dracanae attacked them. Ji-hoon saved his daughter. He attacked the Scythian Dracanae with a celestial bronze sword and easily disintegrated it. Hei Ryung was very shocked by this event and passed out. Ji-hoon took her back home and when Hei Ryung woke up, Ji-hoon immediately told her that she was a demititan and her mother was actually Nyx, the primordial goddess of night. It took Hei Ryung sometime to take it all in but she finally understood why her father didn't tell her sooner. Ji-hoon said to her that he can't always be there to defend her so he taught her how to handle a celestial bronze sword by using one of his extras that he had stored in the storage room they had. Ji-hoon eventual knew that she needed her own celestial bronze sword so he asked his child of Hephaestus friend to help him make a celestial bronze sword for his daughter and make it so that it can morph into a crescent moon necklace. (Which will be given to her on her 13th birthday)
Hei Ryung then met Briana Starlight when she turned 13 and they immediately became best friends. Briana was a daughter of Astraeus but Hei Ryung didn't know. They hung out by a park that was near Hei Ryung's house. Briana was alone for sometime though (since Hei Ryung went back to her house to get some stuff) and a hellhound attacked her. when Hei Ryung went back to the park, she saw Briana getting attacked by the monster and freaked. On her instincts, she morphed a necklace her father recently gave her (on her birthday which was not too long ago) and fought the hellhound. After sometime, she disintegrated the hellhound and Briana was mortified about what just happened. Hei Ryung told her that since the hellhound attacked Briana specifically, there could be a chance that she was a demigod/demititan as well. Briana then had to go home to talk to her mother to see if everything about her being a demigod was true or not.
Briana and Hei Ryung then decided to go to camp together when they both learned about from Hei Ryung's father. They were 14 this time and Briana's mother agreed that it'd be best for both girls to go there. So for a year, they stayed at camp and eventually went on a quest together with another boy who was a son of Boreas.
When both girls were on their quest, they were both 15. It was a quest for Astraeus. They had to retrieve a son of his that was stuck in the Lotus Casino for a long time. They all got him out eventually but when they were so close to the camp's boarders, at least five Empousai showed up to greet them and kill them. Since none of them were really trained to defeat such monsters, it took them quiet awhile to three of them. When they were defeating the last two, Briana died in the process of saving Hei Ryung. The Boreas kid was too busy defending the Astraeus kid they had to go and get from the Casino to notice that Briana was taking a lot of hits from the Empousai. Once the whole thing was over, Hei Ryung went over to Briana's dead body and took her friend's silver dagger that can morph into a diamond star necklace. After the quest was over, she took her things and went back home to try and forget that her friend's death even happened.
Age 16 was no different. She had yet another monster attack. A Stymphalian Bird attacked her but with the training her father gave her as she grew up and the training from the one year experience in camp, she easily disintegrated it. Nothing that special happened that year.
When she finally turned 17, her father died of cancer and she knew she had no where else to go so since she was supposed to originally go to her aunt's house, she went back to camp instead and is staying there until she can take care of herself.
