“I need the sea because it teaches me.”
Quentin is residing in Camp Half-Blood as an active demigod camper. He tends to be alone—more likely near the lake or beach. With no such hatred whatsoever, he feels light and a bit at home at the Camp. And he's into books, no care about having a love life.
Personality
Quentin is a quiet and intelligent boy. Though not always that quiet, he prefers being in silent places, mostly by the sea shore. He is nice to talk to, being all calm and gentle. Bad side is that he gets easily in the bad mood sometimes. When on that state, he tends to always reply sarcastically and look at everyone and everything with a sneer. Quentin loves sailing, and dreams to travel the whole world by the sea.
History

Parents

Vina Chandler was a typical city girl who loved grocery and shopping and of course, the beach. For her, the best sunset and sunrise was in the beach. She wasn't so bad herself, nor her family, so she's all right. Vina had a close friend, Kean Walters, who was a famous model who loved dogs. He showed her his trickery and she thought it was cool.

One time, Kean got depressed after meeting a girl named Lydia who left her, not knowing that Lydia was really Lyssa. She lightened him up and made sure Kean was alright. On a time she went to the mall, she met a man—Palaemon in disguise as a man named Peter—who helped her in reaching some of the groceries. He helped along, which Vina was grateful for. In times, they had dates and walks. They also got together, then he told Vina who he was, what he was, and all the Greek stuff. Vina didn't care, since she loved him much. Palaemon knew she was going to have a child, so he told her about the place where their child should reside sooner. As a gift, Palaemon gave her a bracelet, made from the material of sharks' teeth and beads of Celestial bronze, which can be turned into a sword by will.

During those times, Kean had already fallen for Vina, not knowing about her affairs. When he knew about Vina getting pregnant, he raged. He started hurting her and swearing he'd kill the man whom Vina was with. Vina, getting the feeling that he was too much, fled to Washington from Montana. There, she had birth with Quentin, and raised him there.

Childhood

Quentin had a good childhood despite the absence of a father. He got honours in school and awards in contests. A lot wanted him as a friend, but he preferred none, just acquaintances. He never got into trouble, except for one time when he accidentally smudged a painting in a gallery when he was eight. Vina thought he was alright and did not expect an attack, but gave him the bracelet Palaemon gave her before.

Monster attacks

Quentin had his first attack on 13. He was by the shore then when a single telekhine appeared, making stupid sounds. He got up and got surprised. It advanced towards him, but his mind suddenly went blank. Then he remembered his mother muttering something about the bracelet as protection. He though it was crazy, but focused on the bracelet, thinking about how come it'd be protection. He was about to think it was some superstition when it wove its way around his hand and grows into a long Celestial bronze sword. The telekhine made stupid noises, and Quentin did what was obvious. He swung the blade, hitting its target in the chest and it burst into golden dust. The sword then melted to a bracelet, leaving him running like crazy.

He, after the telekhine incident, didn't tell anything to his mother, but kept quiet. He tried to keep it normal when the next year a month after his 14th birthday, two harpies attacked him. One got smashed by a truck, while the other he destroyed, him getting more cuts and bruises. His mom got suspicious, but he convinced her to put it off. Then a month before his 16th birthday, a hellhound attacked him in school. He got in cornered in the gate, but it was too strong. Then silver arrows rained down on it, turning it to golden dust. Quentin spotted girls in silver after, but they disappeared quickly. Now Vina got very suspicious, and decided it was time to let him go.

Meeting a friend and Camp Half-Blood

It was a day of silence for Quentin when he went to a public park one time. At least, he had time to think about the monsters. There, he suddenly bumped into someone, another boy, and he said sorry. He was looking at the other boy like he was alien when a dracaenae suddenly appeared form the trees. Quentin brought out his sword, and so did the other boy. No time to chitchat, they attacked the dracaenae, the other boy on lead. Slash and cut and dodge, they defeated it. And then they did chitchats. They introduced—the boy as Ahren—and Quentin said he didn't know all those things. Ahren explained, with Quentin still in doubt.

Ahren wanted to introduce him to some group he was a part with, but they were nowhere to be found. Ahren searched, but nothing. He got mad, and cursed. Quentin, still awkward with Ahren, then invited him to his house, hoping his mom would have an idea about all this. And exactly as they arrived home, Vina demanded to know whatever Quentin saw, also to introduce Ahren. Quentin told everything, including Ahren's explanation. Vina got scared ,and told him to pack bags. Quentin did not quarrel, however, Ahren didn't know what to do. Vina told him he should come along.

For a month, Quentin 16, they got everything they need, including an unexpected attack from two telekhines. They flew to New York, and Vina drove them to Camp Half-Blood, remembering everything Palaemon said to her. As soon as they arrived, Vina explained the place to them. Quentin didn't want to leave his mom, but Ahren forced him to, since he felt like the Camp would be a help.

Entering the Camp, Ahren told him about the group he was talking about earlier —Ekdikisi, which meant revenge— and its plans, which was to get revenge on Lyssa because of something she did to Apate. Quentin thought that maybe someone in the Camp would help, dealing that they would tell whoever's managing the Camp.

Character's Powers

Powers of a Son of Palaemon

Offensive[]

  1. Children of Palaemon have the ability to grow multiple rows of shark teeth and then dislocate their jaws in order to attack with them.
  2. Children of Palaemon are able to tap into primal shark instincts which allows them to attack with enhanced speed and ferocity. However, this ability can often lose to loss of self-control and only lasts for a short time.

Defensive[]

  1. Children of Palaemon can become thick skinned like a shark while in human form which causes them to be resistant to physical attacks.
  2. Children of Palaemon have the ability to create a defensive shield made from the electroreceptive energies they perceive around them for a short time (sharks have the ability to detect eletrical stimuli around them).Due to the electrical nature of the shield, if anyone comes in contact with it they would receive an electric shock.

Passive[]

  1. Children of Palaemon can innately breathe underwater and everything they touch in their human form, stays or becomes dry in water, unless they want to become wet.
  2. Children of Palaemon, can survive falling from high altitudes as long as they land in water, they can also go as deep into the ocean as they desire without any effects from the water pressure.
  3. Children of Palaemon have the ability to hear prey or enemies from many miles away, as sharks have extremely sharp senses of hearing
  4. Children of Palaemon are normally affected by blood and when they smell it much like a shark. They will normally go into a frenzied rage and attack whoever is at the source of the blood. If the target is an ally, they can resist the urges through sheer willpower.

Supplementary[]

  1. Children of Palaemon have the ability to summon sharks and command them. The more sharks summoned/commanded and the bigger they are, the more energy is drained.
  2. Children of Palaemon are able to transform into any currently living species of shark while underwater. The longer they remain in this form, the more energy it drains; and the longer the break they need between transformations.
  3. As Palaemon was also a sea god, his children have the ability to Water Travel, a sort of teleportation; the further the distance, the more is energy drained, and there must be a substantial amount of water at both ends.
  4. Children of Palaemon have a degree of control over water, but not to the extent of a child of Poseidon. They can manipulate water to be used as a shield or move water to fire a water blast of high pressure. And they can telekinetically move it with their mind. The longer they maintain control over water, the more energy is drained.

3 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Palaemon have the ability to transform the surrounding area into a harbor as their father was the patron god of harbors. Whilst this harbor is in use, the user can fight in its waters and have their existing powers enhanced substantially. The harbor that the user creates can vary in size, and the larger the harbor is the more it drains the user. After the user relinquishes hold on the harbor they are somewhat drained and the power may only be used once in a fight.

6 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Palaemon can materialize semi-living water constructs that take the form of sharks. The constructs have the strength and instincts of normal sharks. They can float around in the air and will follow the commands of the user. They can summon up to 3 sharks, such as Great Whites or Hammerheads, or up to 7 smaller ones such as a cookie cutter sharks. The bigger they are and the longer they stay solid, the more energy is drained. Once the user dismisses the sharks, they are somewhat drained and the water sharks dissipate into harmless puddles of water.

9 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Palaemon can morph their bodies into a humanoid shark form, in this form their strength is doubled. Their skin becomes durable as in Defensive 1. Their skeletons turn into cartilage, much like that of a sharks, so that they become more flexible and their bones more resilient. This can aid them in fights as it halves the weight of their bones, making them lighter on their feet and faster as they have less weight to move around. Also their existing Hydrokinetic abilities become stronger. Once the user reverts to their normal form, they are quite drained and will struggle to move or stay conscious.

Traits[]

  1. Children of Palaemon, usually prefer to be near and/or in the water.
  2. Children of Palaemon, generally enjoy water sports, and are excellent swimmers.
  3. Children of Palaemon are normally talented at chasing and hunting their prey.
  4. Children of Palaemon tend to be much more comfortable than other people with swimming in the ocean because they are not frightened by sharks.

Relationships

Vina Chandler
She is Quentin's mother and a lover of Palaemon. She loves the beach and spends most of her time there. Moving to Washington from Montana because of Kean Walter's rage towards her, she had raised Quentin there and took care of him with all she has and can. Quentin loves her other than any person in the world.

Palaemon
He is the god of sharks and harbours and Quentin's father. Even if he never shows he's there, he helps Vina in raising their child right. Quentin thinks Palaemon's not all that bad, as long as he makes sure his mother is safe while he's away.

Ahren Terrance
He is a son of Lyssa and a friend he knew not months before arriving at Camp. He was a great friend and pretty agile. While at Camp, they became best friends, and he's the only person Quentin trusts besides his mother.
