Parents Meeting:
Mom met my father soon after she had her master's degree in graphic design. She was really good at it but she did every design about machines. She was in the cinema in Tijuana, her hometown and Hector (as he presented himself) sat in the seat behind her. She accidentally got her hand into Hector's popcorn and she saw what she was doing and how Hector was looking at her she apologized greatly. They started talking and both were really interested between them. They talked and talked until the people kicked them out of the room.
He invited her to go to dinner with him and well, mom as a good girl, didn't refuse. They continued going out for a few weeks until they did "it". When she discovered she was pregnant of twins she told Hector, and he told her about everything, from where he was a god and the children would be demigods, to the point of going to camp and defending themselves, giving her a CB spear, and a CB rapier, she got a bit surprised by their size, but then she told her that they would be smaller in their disguised form.
Early Childhood:
Since little I was really interested in sports as well as Steven, my twin brother. We got along really well. We played sports between us until we couldn't stand more. Mom got a good job, but she didn't have much money since grandma died, because she always lent us some money. Even though, mom still did everything for us to have a happy childhood. She would usually take us to parks and play with us in her very short free time. When we were 7 we got into the popular group. Steven was the rebel and I was the good guy. Steven would always get us both in trouble, but I always followed him, since Steven was my role model. I had a peaceful and good childhood, until, well the attack happened. Since little we had sword fighting (which weren't really "classes", since our mom only taught us how to use some weapons, and strategy).
First Monster Attack:
When we were 11 years old, Mom gave us the CB weapons (but in their disguised position, I mean, she gave me a wristband, which would later turn into a rapier), and told us what to do with them when in danger, even though she didn't tell us their true form.
When we were 13, Steven and I were coming walking back home from our boxing class and in the way home we saw a giant scorpion coming toward us, it was the size of a car. We inmediatley knew what to do: fight for our life. I stripped of my wristband, and it turned into a rapier right in front of my eyes. We got our weapons and started fighting with it. With its pincers, it started to crush bargage cans and bicycles. When we got used to the weapons, we started attacking and I cut its tail off, while distracted, Steven impaled it with all his strength in a soft underside and it dissolved into golden dust.
We were extremely exhausted and really scared. We told our mom what had happened and she spat the truth. She told us that she hadn't told us before so we could have the most normal life we could possibly get, actually there was a camp we would need to go to be safe. We were shocked, she didn't take us there for our own sake, but the most important thing was mind-blowing. We were demigods.
The same happened almost every year, monster attacks, except for the type of monsters: once, when we were 14 there was a fire breathing horse, which scorched most of our clothes, (we got to defeat it by sticking Steven's spear in the horse's chest, but surprisingly we didn't get skin burns), then there were two telkhines which we fought when we were 15,(and they were surprisingly deathly for their funny appearance. We defeated them when I flayed one in half, and Steven stabbed the other in its head) and at the end, two harpies at 16 (They left us some bad cuts with their talons, but no scars left. We killed them both in midair by striking them.).
Coming to Camp:
She told us about a camp that we needed to go to. That was in the U.S. in NY, so basically we bought tickets for New York City, then we slept in a motel, and finally, we took a taxi all the way to camp(a few blocks before). We saw an empousa, and we fought it. Miraculously, we beat it, although we were only two demigods, but Steven died from a strike in the head from her. WhenI saw the entrance, I were relieved, since all my life, we had been avoiding this place to be with our family, but if we stayed with our family, they would be possibly killed. Now I'm waiting to be claimed here. Now I know I'm a child of Hephaestus.
