Kim Yuna is a popular actress in South Korea. Although being sick and tired about rumours and stuffs, she refrained from it and decided to enjoy her normal life. A few years later, Yuna met a guy whom introduced himself as Mark; little did she know that it is Morpheus. Since she quit her career and started to live alone, Yuna was so eager to find a man in her life. After a few months of dating, they end up having a passionate night.
The following day, Mark had left Yuna's side. This had caused Yuna great grief. As hard as she tried, nothing could mend her broken heart. Yuna tried to find comfort, so she had another night with another man named JiYoon, who was actually Hades himself. Although Yuna was expecting JiYoon to be gone from her side by morning; however, when she felt JiYoon's Body heat beside her, she was happy.
Months later and Yuna was known to be pregnant, and JiYoon or Hades thought that it was his. Afraid of being left behind once again, Yuna decided to keep the truth from Jiyoon
Before she loose her conciousness, Yuna delivered a baby girl to whom she named Ara . JiYoon left a note the next day, saying that he would be away, and he doesn't know when to come back. He also begged Yuna on not to wait for him and also take care of their beloved Ara.
Meanwhile Yuna thought that people will utterly leave her, even though the lady is in great grief, she focused on Ara. As she took care of Ara and gave her all her love to her, After some time Yuna came back on her career as an actress to sustain their lives thus being busy she hired a maid to take care of a 5 years old Ara. The maid is actually a satyress sent by Morpheus. Hades who's watching Yuna and whom he thought his child- Ara, knew that a satyress was sent by Morpheus. After a further more investigation, Hades found out that Ara is not his, thus feeling cheated and being wrapped with anger; Hades decided to kill Ara.
Morphues knowing this told the Satyress to take Ara away from her mother so that the innocent girl would be safe from Hades' Hatred. Ara being taken away from her mother at the age of 6 made Yuna kill herself out of grieve to which made Hades more angry and giving him more reason to eliminate Ara.
Ara and the satyress lived temporarily in a rental apartment. Ara studied there temporarily and met True who became her best friend, every time they hang out Ara can't help on feeling envy on True for she thought True was living her life perfectly until one of her wishes was to become her . When she turned 10, Hades already found out where they lived and sent 2 furies to kill them. The satyress was able to defeat the furies--- or so she thought. When at the last moment, the last fury delivered a death blow to the satyress. This killed her and left Ara alone.
After that incident, the owner of the apartment found Ara in the mess and pitted her luck. At that time, Hades thought that Ara could entertain him for a while thus the god cursed the young lady's life. Since both couldn't have a child of their own, Park Seo Woo and Park Tae Yang, the names of the couple, adopted Ara like their own child. Seo-woo was so obsessed on Ara that she made her study just at home and never took her outside the house.
She was more like a prisoner. Monitored of her every move, she was very well disciplined. Her life was like this up till she was 13. When her adoptive mother Seo-Woo went in for a business trip for a month so Ara was left with her adoptive father, Taeyang. He raped and abused his adoptive daughter Ara. Taeyang knocked Ara out and made the maids took care of her. The maids did their job and brought her on a farm in Incheon, unfortunately a hellhound caught Ara's scent near at the farm which killed the maids, who tried protecting her. Fortunately, the owner of the farm was a satyr Youngjae, was able to help Ara.
The satyr had a wife, Nami; however, she didn't like Ara. everytime Youngjae is at his farm, Nam would likely to be abusing Ara. A few weeks later after staying in the farm Ara knew that she was pregnant and Nami thought her husband was the one responsible for it. The next day while Youngjae was at the farm, Nami stages an "accident", resulting in Ara falling from a ladder positioned at the top of a set of stairs. Dangling from a chandelier, Ara begs Nami to pull her over the railing. Nami does not oblige, and Ara falls. Suffering miscarriage. She spent almost a couple of weeks in the hospital. After the burial of Ara's daughter, she ran away from the farm not having any idea where to go next. Before she could've stressed herself, the furies finally appeared.
Meanwhile, Hades was getting bored at the dramaAra is now getting through, he sent furies to finally to end it all. Ara was depressed that she let the monsters kill her.
Watching the whole event, Ara's father felt pity over her daughter, who was unable to enjoy her childhood. Morpheus turned Ara to a dream nymph and changed her appearance so that Hades wouldn't chase her ever again. He also gave her a new name: Sydney a name completely unrecognizable from her past identity . Morpheus wiped all Ara's--or Sydney's---memory. Morpheus placed Sydney at the Camp Half Blood.
