Approximately 500 years ago in Cyprus, Chance Tanberry, and a musical prodigy was born to an elite family. Years later, their family fortune soon declined and forced them to live in the street after pirates invaded the gallon trade ship with all their income from Europe and Southeast Asia. Playing in the streets, Chance's fame and fortune grew; He was then frequently invited by noble families. By the age of 20, he was able to regain his family fortune and help his two sisters. At the age of 23, Chance captured two beautiful goddess's hearts: Persephone and Apate. On her stroll, Persephone heard a beautiful piece and was immediately touched, she sought to find the musician and found Chance; She fell in love and spent all her free time secretly watching him play until she confessed and they dated. One day, two little boys were trying to deceive him off his money; Apate was laughing in sight of this but was shocked when Chance actually told the boys to stop and gave them a large sum of gold coins. She questioned him why and called him an idiot, but he simply gave her a kind smile and left; Soon, Apate couldn't help thinking about him. One fateful night, Chance was invited to the royal Masquerade Ball. With masks everywhere, Apate was at an advantage; she disguised herself as Persephone. Chance, thinking it was Persephone, was deceived and made love to her. In the morning, he realized it was Apate and told her the words that burned her heart to ashes. Furious with rejection, she cursed Chance with Multiple Personality Disorder for as long as he loved Persephone. Whenever Chance sees Persephone, with his heavy heart, he would look or walk away in shame without an explanation to her. Nine months later, Apate, disgusted, threw the twin at Chance's doorstep; Once Persephone saw this, she realized what happened and placed the children in a basket and left a letter explaining to Chance about the Greek world, which made him love her more. The twins grew up in a sort of well life. They were also considered child prodigies and were commonly recognized and praised; Zayden for music while True for dancing, making the room shimmer with elegance and beauty. They had a luxurious way of living, often invited in royal parties and cross-country travelling. Their father loves them dearly and they were surrounded in music and love. Chance commanded them that if he started to act weird, to lock him in the music room in the attic and get as far from him as possible until he was in his right mind again. Thirteen years passed, Chance's condition worsened. When he was locked in the room, he broke the lamp and fire spread throughout the room; the house was burning. True, who woke up smelling smoke, woke her brother up and the two ran out of the house. When the twins reached outside, they realized their father was still inside. There wasn't much time, they decided to separate; Zayden, who well knew the village well even at night, ran to get help, while True, the agile and clever one, insisted and went back to save their father. When Zayden came back with help, he couldn't find his sister or his father. Immediately, he tried to run to house but an adult stopped him and he went in instead. Time passed, the adult came out of the house carrying an injured and half-conscious girl hugging a violin case, Zayden realized what happened: His sister, who could find her father sought to find Zayden's most treasure, his violin, and she was trapped by debris and couldn't get out, by Tyche's mercy did the adult find and was able to save her. After the incident, True had severe coughing and lung problems from breathing too much smoke. Since the children have nowhere else to go, they were adopted by Chance's two sisters. Zayden was adopted by Chance's eldest sister, Marie, who always wanted a son, but was barren; True was adopted by Chance's youngest sister, Emily, who married a doctor. Marie hated the twins very much, she expected that Chance would die early and she would be able to own half of his fortune, but her plans were shattered after the birth of the twins. Marie and her husband treated Zayden as their own child, with a bits of love and more on discipline and manhood; Emily and her husband loved True as her own daughter and she was accepted as family. When the twins were separated, they never were allowed to communicate or see each other, only through secret letters. When Zayden wanted to see True, Marie would tell him she is very sick; When True comes to visit Zayden, Marie would say he's out or make an alibi. True stayed strong and never told her brother about her sickness that was aggravating; she always told him she was fine. For a long while, True hasn't been replying to his letters anymore. Zayden knew something was wrong, he begged Marie to let him see True, and he would do anything. Two weeks later, Marie told Zayden to wear all black and he would be able to see her. Zayden, being suspicious and scared, went. When he reached Emily's house, he heard mourning, and he froze once he entered the room. They’re lying still in a casket was his precious sister, his only comfort. Zayden's heart broke into a thousand pieces, he didn't want to leave the casket, he didn’t want to leave True. Ever since his sister died, Zayden blamed himself and valued his violin and the letters he received from True more than anything. He swore to himself that he would make her sister happy in a way before he dies. After True's death, Zayden was terribly unstable, he would starve himself at times, he wouldn't talk like before anymore; he was not the Zayden everyone knew. During the Venetian's rule, the Turks often tried to invade Cyprus, which caused problems for Marie's family since her husband was a general. After the death of Marie's husband, she had no source of income and often blamed Zayden for these misfortunes. Zayden couldn't take it anymore and ran away with only his violin, letters from his dead sister, and a large sum of money. Out of fatigue, he fainted in the streets and a harpy was about to have him for dinner. An old lady who was a daughter of Hephaestus and her grandson, a son of Zeus, happened to have seen this and immediately killed the harpy, taking Zayden back to their home to nursed him. In these hard times, the old lady explained he must've been a random demi-god; As granny asked anything about him being claimed, Zayden was unable to answer. Zayden was then welcome to the place like a new family member. One of the things Zayden was grateful most for was when granny enchanted his violin and its case, making it easier to carry; Granny transformed it into a ring with a special pattern for Zayden to make the case appear on his soulder; Granny also made Zayden maces in a form of a cross becklace. One cursed day, the Turks invaded the town of Limassol, their current home, killing nearly everyone. To hold them off while the three were running away, granny sacrificed herself and told them both to run and hide, by these was she killed; both boys were truly sad, even Zayden who never saw his grandmother. In the Elysium, True was happy and especially loved by Persephone who knew her identity. Persephone was happy to see True since she loved her father dearly. Hades, who didn't know her relation with True, was satisfied to see his wife content and he also fell for True's kind and thoughtful soul. However, True was still worried about her brother frequently. Persephone, not knowing what to make her happy, promised her everything would be alright for him. In the spring and summer months, Persephone would help Justin and Zayden by providing them food in the forest they were staying, making the tree bear delicious fruit and others. Knowing the two's abilities got better, Persephone confused them into going to one of Underworld entrances by making tall trees to grow on the passages that would lead them away. With again no place to call home, Zayden and Justin scavenged around for available resources to survive. They also had to flee from the Turks and the forest was a place with many hidding places. Since True and Zayden were Apate's, a minor goddess', unclaimed children, they didn't have any monster problems together; however, with a son of Zeus and fifteen-year old unclaimed son of Apate combined, they were often attacked by some monsters and through this, they were able to gain more experience in battle. A season of spring and summer has passed, the two were starting to feel the coldness of autumn and feared it. With Persephone's help, at the end of summer, the two wandered to one of the many entrances to the Underworld, and little did they know it was. They went inside and found a few artifacts, regardless of their weird feeling, the two still stuck around to find a few useful things. The two boys suddenly triggered an old trap and they knew they were danger. They were ambushed by many skeleton soldiers arising from the ground, but were able to attack and defend themselves with the weapons granny gave and trained them in; Many were disintegrated or broken into pieces. Sadly, after battling hard, the children were tired and got caught. Hades, who wanted to know who the strong offenders were, commanded the soldiers to bring the children to him. Once Zayden and Justin were dragged to the Underworld by the skeleton guards, they met Hades. Hades, who was clearly impressed of the two, was actually expecting men in their early twenties but found two 16-year olds instead. He sought to make them his servers in exchange for their heart's desire; immediately, Zayden thought of his sister, he just had to repay her for everything. The two best friends separated and hoped the best for each other, Justin wished to live forever as a lightning spirit in exchange for 200 years of service to Hades in Greece; Zayden wished for his sister to relive life with him again in exchange for years of service, depending on Hades' wish to let them off in a nice time they can call home. Zayden, being a decisive son of Apate, made Hades swear unto the river of Styx and the deal was sealed. When Hades announced Zayden might be as a son of Apate, right on the spot, a masquerade mask appeared on his left palm and he was claimed by Apate; Zayden suddenly was moved in tears of joy. As a sign of their contract, Hades turned Zayden's black hair into glistening silver like the moon and he made him temporarily immortal. Also, Hades upgarded and redesigned his cross necklace, making it look more fancy and notable; He also enchanted the maces, making them chained or unchained, depending on Zayden's situation. During his years of service, Zayden grew mysterious, heartless but strong. Using the maces granny made and Hades upgraded, he learned how to kill unmercifully, if it was Hades' command. When he finally learned to love a woman, he was forced to move afraid she might be endangered. It was also one of the rules that Zayden must have faith in his master and never will be permitted to see True until the final day arrives. Every 5 years, he would have to move from city to city because the people would suspect why he hasn't aged. The good side of Zayden's service was that every place he would be assigned to thought of him as a highly repected noble thanks to Persephone who constantly reminded Hades to give Zayden money. Also, Zayden's last resort is to kill, but his main purpose was to spy for Hades and collect information. In the 20th century, Camp Half-Blood was finally built and designed too for minor god and goddess' kids. Hades and Persephone knew it was time to release Zayden and True. As a bonus, Hades and Persephone gave True her weapon and some gifts; They also reduced their ages to 15 and didn't take away the memories they'll carry on for life. Both of them were then sent to Camp Half Blood to continue on with their lives and to one day be welcomed by Hades and Persephone back to the Elysium.Once they stepped into the entrance, Apate started to see the children weren't so bad and she claimed True, making a masquerade mask appear at True's right palm. |

RP My baby! Huhuhu~ I feel somewhat terrible for having him as the rebound. Anyways, this 600+ year old needs someone. Zayden also needs to be more feel-y; that, or he needs to display his hidden affection. This stiff guy needs to learn how to love instead of how to know everything. | |||
