Before the Activities and Development Department get on my case about this, I, Moodle would like to say a few words. Now, this topic may be highly controversial to some people but it has come to my attention, through observation, that the general mood of users on the wiki is, to be frank, bored. Lilith's Letter was the last big event that we held and since then, it has been mainly regular roleplay and a small handful of contests that users have been choosing to interact in. While I commend the AD Department for their efforts, as well as others who have supported it, I believe that we can do something more. By this, I mean that perhaps here, we can brainstorm ideas for a new event to recapture the interest of users. Let me know what you all think in the comments below.
okay as cool as that sounds, it'll just be like LL3. Stupid people will get bored and just flake out on it >.<
Well you're also forgetting like every phase of Lilith's Letter, ultimately flopped, overall I think only like maybe 30% of the missions in the three phases actually ended with a result, and mostly because people lost interest and stopped posting. Which is why I really don't like participating in anything that involves more than a few people in a roleplay at most. I mean come on, most users can't even get a quest to finish that only has 3 to 6 users involved. And most things that require attention span for longer than 2 to 4 weeks also almost always fails or ends by default of some sort. that being said, I won't stand in the way of any topic related roleplay events (events that actually reasonably stay on topic of this wiki, and not going off on other completely non greek myth/camp half blood related topics). This happens every time, people say they want big events, but then get bored or busy a few days to a few weeks in and that's it. I mean if people are bored, why aren't more people trying to do group quests, or BC missions.
The activities haven't been remarkably boring, considering how Cries of War and Survival Tactics were both successful in keeping the community involved. Lilith's Letter was a long time ago, from what I've heard, but there's been other activities that were entertaining. I personally don't think that anyone's going to get bored any time soon, especially when including quests and missions an open option, like Bach said.
well i would'nt say i'm bored, but ugh quests all the same. run an errand for your godparent, get some friends, slay some monsters or fight some rough demigods and there ya go.. :T
No one said quests were just running an errand for your god parent
true, but they normally are. but w/e i'm getting off topic >.< i mean if were to come up with a new topic, what would it be? how would it be rp'd?
