Forest/Jungle Arena

• This arena is essentially a tightly compacted jungle/forest, with tall cliffs along the edges of the arena
• At various points in the forest/jungle there are some small waterfalls and ponds
• The arena is open to the sky and elements, however due to the tightly compacted nature of the jungle/forest, there are areas where the sky cannot be seen, along with lots of shadows and places to hide
• At the centre of the arena (jungle/forest), there is a medium sized temple, it is the darkest at this point and there are pyres, full of fire and wood, at the entrance to the temple. The fire that burns within the pyres can not be extinguished, but if the fire is removed from the pyres, it can then be put out.
• Inside the temple are various Greek statues, roughly 6 feet tall
• There are numerous and various species of wildlife hidden amongst the forest/jungle, but none larger than a grizzly bear

Introduction

Daevyd Otounach ~ Child of Thanatos
	He stands ready, back against a tree on the outskirts of the arena. He's wearing mainly black baggy pants, a white shirt, and his cowl/cloak. He sheathes his katars at his sides and his daggers behind him in his pant belt. He sighs lightly, wondering what he got himself into, but pulls the small amulet out and sighs again. "I'm gonna screw this up, but I better try." He mumbles as he crouches down into a forward sitting position, with one foor on the tree and the other on the ground, in case he needed to get out quick. He merely sighs again, feeling less than ready.     ~ "Guide me, a lost soul, to the pits and depths, to the heights beyond, let me live."

	Character's Bio      Relationship Status: Single   Character's Powers  Powers of a Child of Thanatos (3/6/9 month powers unlocked): Children of Thanatos can materialise a scythe, made up of astral energies, to use as a weapon but only for a short time. Children of Thanatos can bend shadows around them, concealing them for a short time. Children of Thanatos can sense any death, mortal or monster. Children of Thanatos can communicate with the souls of the recently deceased. Children of Thanatos are able to enchant weapons with Soul-damaging powers, the effect only lasts for a short time. Children of Thanatos are able to see the lifespan of others, but are forbidden to speak of it. Children of Thanatos have the ability to Shadow Travel, a sort of teleportation; the further the distance, the more energy drained. Children of Thanatos are able to call forth recently dead spirits to aide them for a short time. When fighting, children of Thanatos are able to gain a small amount of health every time they deal damage to their opponents. Children of Thanatos are able to surround themselves in dark power which greatly boosts attack and defense. However, the act of surrounding takes time and the user is vulnerable during it. Children of Thanatos, though unable to use this power to directly kill, can use it to drain enough life force out of those around them, that they are too weakened to fight back for a very short time, from a few seconds to a few minutes. However, while the user is doing this, they are incapacitated and it drains them considerably. Children of Thanatos can use astral energies to make anything, besides just scythes, nothing larger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user, for a short time. Children of Thanatos generally have morbid personalities. Children of Thanatos are generally not frightened of death.
Owned by: Onyx ~ Posted on: Alexander stood in the middle of a clearing, the sun shining down onto his black hair. Usually, he took to these with a fun attitude, looking to have fun rather than throw down. Unfortunately for his siblings, the recent challenge of his Lieutenant, Madeline, made Alexander less than pleased. This fight, and all others after, would make it clear that those in power are in power for a reason. Unarmed except for his signature fireknife, Alexander laid in the middle of the clearing clad in a bronze chestplate, armguards, and grieves, making it apparent that Daevyd was going to have to throw the first punch.

Daevyd: He decided to wait it out, not letting impatience taking the best of him and wanting to draw out Alex. "Baiting the rabbit with a carrot too tasty to resist, is what mother would tell me." He wandered out, sitting against a tree facing Alex, showing Alex where he was, and that he was very intrigued at what might happen. 'He might sliip up, so I'll look for an opening, that's all. Quick and simple. But if it comes to blows, I might have to surrender. Let's hope I can do what I've done before, one last time.' He thought to himself, while looking directly at Alex. "So, is this the lazy challenge, or are you just normally too lazy to do something useful?" He calls out to Alex.
