Greetings from the administration team. This page is to help users and the administration team keep tabs on which monsters are usable for claims, quests and what not. This page also categorizes each monster by its "level" of difficulty. The difficulty levels are as follows.
Easy: These monsters are in a blue template, and should generally be used in claims as they are easier to kill than the rest of the monsters.
The Furies can only be used in claims if the character is a bad demigod or on Hades orders.
Medium: These monsters are in a yellow template, and should generally be used in quests. only rarely will one of these monsters attack a demigod who has not yet made it to camp. In the case that it attacks a pre camp demigod, it is usually a child of the bigger three, Zeus, Poseidon or Hades.
Hard: These monsters are in a red template, and will most likely always, and only be used in quests. As the difficulty suggests, these monsters are extremely hard to fight/kill.
Suicide: These monsters are in a black template, and are most likely not to appear in a quest, as it takes more than 10 demigods to kill one of them. It is also suggested that these monsters generally can kill with a touch...
Easy Monsters
These are mainly for claims, they are easy to kill and generally attack demigods when they reach 11-13.
These are mainly for quests, they are harder to kill and usually require 3-5 demigods to kill. These will not generally attack demigods who have not yet made it to camp.
These are mainly for quests, they are EXTREMELY HARD to kill and usually require 5+ demigods to kill. These will not attack demigods who have not yet made it to camp.
Its a horse, its a fire, well, its a fiery horse. Stay out of reach of the legs and the flame, and victory shouldn't be a problem.
History
These magical fire breathing horses are the wicked and wild breeding results of Ares breeding his chariot drawing horses with the Thracian King Diomedes' four man eating horses, as a result, this breed of horse will eat men, demigods and satyrs, using their fiery nostril breathing to singe terror onto the eyebrows of unwary demigods and satyrs.
Appearance
These horses range from the size of colts to the size of most generic non-monster, adult horses in the wild. These horses are usually black or extremely dark grey, with the only contrasting feature on the beasts being their red eyes.
Interactions
This beast can easily be beaten by 1 trained demigod, or a demigod and a satyr.
Strengths
These horses have powerful legs to kick with, and can breathe fire from its nostrils, the fire is not unlimited, as it can only come out as long as the horse can exhale for one breath. They are fast, and more wild and reckless than untamed Mustangs.
Weaknesses
These horses are killed naturally by jagged terrain, falling from heights, and falling into pits. Weapons most effective against these beasts are long range weapons such as arrows and spears, and (or) caltrops. Other weapons are as effective against this monster as they are against a normal horse.
Tactics
These horses will fight like a normal horse, however they are smarter, and will use their fire breathing abilities to aid in their fighting.

Giant Scorpions[]
{{Giant Scorpions}}
Giant Scorpions
Difficulty: Easy
Their sting is worse than their bark... Well their mandible munching bark...
History
A Giant Scorpion, Scorpius, was created by the Earth mother Gaia, which she tasked with slaying Orion, the protector of Artemis, however, Orion and the beast fought till he was at least stung by Scorpius, killing him... Zeus took pity upon Orion and set him, as well as the scorpion as a reminder, in the stars. However Gaia in her rage has created more of these beasts to hinder demigods, satyrs, and humankind for centuries after Scorpius was placed into the stars.
Appearance
These scorpions are large, they average in size from the size of a small pick-up truck, to the size of an elephant, the latter of which being much rarer as these creatures tend not to reach old age. These beasts are generally darkly colored, from dark brown to black, however the color depends on where it is in the world that they are at. These scorpions, like all scorpions, have large pincers and sharp mandibles, as well as an extremely long stinging tail. Some older scorpions have two stingers on their tails.
Interactions
These beasts will is easily killed by two trained demigods, or two demigods and and a satyr. They are more easily fought with weapons that have long reach or allow for trapping them, such as chains, spears, arrows, heavy projectiles or extremely large boulders falling onto of them. Swords and other weapons that are generally used for slashing attacks make fighting these scorpions much harder, however sharper weapons may be able to cut off limbs by striking at segment joints.
Strengths
Their large stingers can pierce light to medium armor. They are capable of mantling and crossing rough terrain. Their large claws can crush a decent amount of things, with the exception of extremely thick metal objects. (Thick metal objects being like that of a tank). Their jaws are able to crunch and manage to swallow light to medium armors as well, but are not able to crush some automaton's body structures. These scorpions have a tough exoskeleton, making slashing weapons much harder to fight them with.
Weaknesses
Their somewhat soft undersides are vulnerable to sharp objects, while walking over jagged rocks is not enough to hurt them. The segments in their exoskeletons are extremely visible and make it somewhat easier to stab or injure the scorpions with arrows.
Tactics
These Giant Scorpions will fight like non-monster scorpions, except they will not back down, and will attack when they sense a demigod whose is of age.

Harpies[]
{{Harpies}}
Harpies
Difficulty: Easy
Winged beings that look like women, yet who could believe that hawking lie?
Ella - Good Harpy
History
The harpies were the spirits of sudden, sharp gusts of wind. They were known as the hounds of Zeus and were despatched by the god to snatch away (harpazô) people and things from the earth. Sudden, mysterious disappearances were often attributed to the Harpyiai. The Harpies were once sent by Zeus to plague King Phineus of Thrake as punishment for revealing the secrets of the gods. Whenever a plate of food was set before him, the Harpies would swoop down and snatch it away, befouling any scraps left behind.
One specific breed of Harpies (commonly employed by Camp Half-Blood) have shorter wings and fly much slower than normal Harpies.
Appearance
The Harpies were depicted as winged women, sometimes with ugly faces, and/or with the lower bodies of birds.
Interactions
A single Harpie can easily be killed by a Demigod who has been trained by mortals to wield a weapon. (The more harpies there are, the harder it becomes to manage fighting them, as they swarm like hives of attacking bees/birds). Harpies are best defeated with stabs and arrow wounds to the midsection or torso, via use of: Swords, arrows/bows, spears. They are, however, much harder to deal with when using daggers or other weapons which use range is like that of hand to hand combat: Daggers, kitchen knives, metal shards, etc.
Strengths
Harpies differ in strength, some have talons like birds, while others hands with razor sharp claws on them. These claws and talons can easily cut through flesh, they have a harder time cutting things that are covered in armor that provide more protection than leather armor. The Harpies can fly quickly, however being much larger than birds, they are affected by strong wind currents.
Weaknesses
Harpies are not usually covered by any armor plating, and their skin is only a bit thicker than humans skin. If their wings are disabled many of their strategies are useless; however these beasts will fight like a feral beast and crawl on the ground when this happens. Harpies are weak weak to extreme temperatures, being crushed by heavy objects, or run hit with heavy objects at high speeds (like being run over by a semi-truck or multiple cars).
Tactics
They can fly and they use their claws in combination with this. They will fly low and rake with their claws before they fly up so you cannot hit them. Another popular tactic is swooping down and lifting enemies into the air and dropping them from high heights.

Hellhounds[]
{{Hellhounds}}
Hellhounds
Difficulty: Easy
Thought hounds were bad when running. pray to not meet a Hellhound on a fateful day.
History
Hellhounds were sons and daughters of Nyx (mother) and Cerberus (father). Hellhounds are feared by half-bloods (except by children of Hades).
The most famous hell hound is Cerberus, who guards the entrance to the under world. He has three heads, a tail or mane (depends on version of myth) of snake(s), and is tall enough to make men feel like ants. Cerberus also has a brother, Orthrus, who has two heads. They were said to bring the souls of the dead or dying to Hades. It is said that hell hounds have the ability to shadow travel, the ability to travel through shadows. Hell hounds are considered evil because they work for Hades/Devil.
Appearance
Hellhounds are usually described as being large, black mastiffs with glowing red eyes. The average size of hellhounds ranges from the size of a large great Dane, to as large as a semi truck.
Interactions
An untrained demigod fighting a smaller Hellhound may be able to defeat the beast on their own with minor training, or by luck: Buildings falling ontop of the beasts, gas explosions, amongst other things. Larger Hellhounds are better managed by a trained demigod and a satyr, while two trained demigods and a satyr will have no trouble with a Hellhound, large or small.
Strengths
These beasts are large and powerful. They are surprisingly quick for large creatures. Larger Hellhounds can crush most medium armors and break shields. Their jaws are powerful enough to bite through some medium armors, depending on the beasts' size. Hellhounds can innately shadow travel, which means they move through darkness to any other location; however their shadow travel is generally limited to traveling in and out of the underworld in their pursuit of demigods. They are immune to heat and fire.
Weaknesses
The flesh of a small Hellhound is vulnerable to most attacks; Larger Hellhounds have tougher hides. They cannot shadow travel into areas that are brightly lit by lights or areas with no darkness. They act like hounds, so at times their bloodlust will drive them to jeopardize their own safety. The beasts are weak to ice, hellhounds can be killed by heavy falling objects, (tall brick walls or large boulders).
Tactics
Hellhounds will act like large, vicious rabid dogs, however they tend to have more brains to go with their massive brawn.

Scythian Dracanae[]
{{Scythian Dracanae}}
Scythian Dracanae
Difficulty: Easy
These she devils possess intelligence and the alluring ability to deceive men with their illusory appearances.
History
The first ruler of the land of Skythia. She was a woman from the waist up with the serpentine tail of a Drakon in place of legs. When Herakles visited her realm leading the cattle of Geryon, she stole some of the herd and insisted the hero mate with her before she would return them.
Appearance
The Scythian dracanae are described as humanoid females with a serpent trunk instead of legs. They have been described as "Dragon women" or "Snake women". Their walk has been described as "a combination of walking and slithering like walking on living skis" by Percy. When they talk, they hiss the letter "S" when they say it.
Interactions
An untrained demigod would be able to kill one Scythian Dracanae, but it would be an extremely difficult fight and may leave the demigod seriously injured if not fatally wounded. A trained demigod will be able to kill a single Scythian Dracanae with ease, however when faced with more than one of these beasts, a single demigod will be over powered. An untrained demigod and a satyr will be able to kill one of these, with ease, but it will not be as easy if the demigod were trained.
Strengths
Their serpent trunk makes their motions quick, but not always fluid. These beasts are capable of enduring desert range temperatures. They have some smarts, allowing them to deceive foolish demigods into believing they have friendly intent. Their snake-like lower halves are flexible like that of a snake however, this quality does not pertain to the rest of their body.
Weaknesses
These beasts are easily susceptible to fire, just like humans and snakes are. these beasts are easily susceptible to cold and will become lethargic if introduced to temperatures lower than the regular for a desert's night time temperature. Scythian Dracanae are easily cut, but are not as easily hurt by crushing weapons, they are however easily crushed by large boulders.
Tactics
Scythian Dracanae are smart, and they will use tricks and deceit to make demigods do what they want them too. Some, however, will resort to violence and will try to kill any demigod it sees.

Stymphalian Birds[]
{{Stymphalian Birds}}
Stymphalian Birds
Difficulty: Easy
All you have to do to disorient them is make some noise, and from there they are easily dispatched.
History
In Greek Mythology, Heracles' sixth labor was to beat the Stymphalian birds. He did it by using brass bells to scare them into the air, and when the birds took off from the swamp that they rested in, Heracles shot many of them down with his bow and arrows. Although some escaped, they never returned to the area that they were terrorizing.
Appearance
Stymphalian Birds are a species of monstrous pigeon-like birds.
Interactions
This beast takes 1 to 3 demigods to kill.
Strengths
Stymphalian birds have sharp celestial bronze beak that can tear through flesh. They are also incredibly quick and agile flyers.
Weaknesses
Physically speaking these birds are vulnerable to most attacks. The method for dealing with large group is noise. Loud bells, or music will disrupt the faculties of these birds, causing them to become greatly confused.
Tactics
These birds are rarely found alone. They are often in groups which they use to their advantage. They swarm their prey and like flying pirahna that can pick a human clean in several minutes. If in small groups or alone, they will dive bomb and tend to aim for eyes and exposed flesh.

Telekhines[]
{{Telekhines}}
Telekhines
Difficulty: Easy
Their flippers make them incapable of posing a great threat
History
They invented the art of metal-working and were said to have crafted the scythe Kronos used to castrate his father Ouranos and later a Magical Trident for Poseidon which the god used to level mountains into the sea and form the islands. Their malignant use of magic, particularly, they produced a mixture of Styx water and sulfur, which killed plants and animals, angered Zeus, who cast them beneath the sea or into the very depths of Tartarus. Telkhines were sometimes described as having the head of a dog and fish-flippers for hands. They're also known as "fish children."
Appearance
Telekhines have faces like dogs, with black snouts, brown eyes, and pointy ears. Their bodies are sleek and black like seals. They have stubby legs that were half flippers and half foot, and human-like hands with sharp claws. Percy described that if you blended together a Doberman pinscher, a human child and a sea lion, they'll look a bit like a Telekhine. Fully grown adults telekhines can be up to seven feet tall. Telekhines bark and growl, and they waddle instead of walking.
Interactions
Small to medium sized groups of this beast can be killed by 1 to 3 demigods
Strengths
Being aquatic in nature, Telekhines pose the biggest threat underwater, as they can easily outmaneuver even children of sea gods/goddesses.
Weaknesses
A demigod's best bet when fighting a Telekhine is to disarm is as quickly as possible. Once unarmed, they are slow and clumsy.
Tactics
Telekhines rely heavily upon the uses of weapons to fight. In most cases, when unarmed, they do not serve much of a threat, unless, of course, they are underwater, in which case, chances of survival are reduced by half

Myrmekes[]
{{Myrmekes}}
Myrmekes
Difficulty: Easy
Man, who knew ants had such a bite, or for that matter, spit acid. Trippy.
History
In Ancient Greece people believed them to live in the Indian deserts, where they stocked their ant hills with gold. To explain the riches of the Indian people, legend says that the bravest warriors of the Indians slipped into the ant nests to recover the gold in a deadly game of snatch and grab.
Myrmekes are known to have tough skin and spit acid that tenderizes their pray. Myrmekes means ants in Greek.
Myrmedes are giant acid spraying ants.
Appearance
Myrmekes are giant ant-like creatures that are roughly the size of a minivan, including their legs for height. Their actual bodies though are more the size of a large motorcycle.
Interactions
A single Myrmeke is best fought by an untrained demigod and a satyr, however a trained demigod or two trained demigods will have no problem with fighting a handful of these beasts.
Strengths
Their jaws are powerful and can be used to cut down trees, smash or pick up smaller boulders. Their ability to spray acid allows them to attack enemies in a near radius outside of their jaw's reach.
Weaknesses
These beasts are susceptible to extreme temperatures, easily crushed by heavy objects, and tend to be hurt more by weapons that are used to smash. Their armored undersides are not as strong as the top of their bodies, and are more easily punctured.
Tactics
These beasts fight like normal ants would, often swarming prey with large numbers, however they will fight in ways other than normal ants. They often gather in groups to attack prey. They will use their jaws to try to topple trees on foes, or to block prey/foes from escaping an area.

Unique Creatures[]
Cerberus[]
{[Cerberus}}
Cerberus
Difficulty: Easy
Ever think that something is two-faced? Well, wait until you meet something with 3 faces.
History
NOTE
Cerberus is not a monster normally fought, but could come up in a quest if you were trying to get a soul out, or get in without pissing him off, you MIGHT need to fight him, however he would never be randomly out and about fighting demigods, you'd only fight him if you were in the underworld.
In The Lightning Thief, he stays in the front of the EZ Death Line. As one of the children of Echidna, he is the only one who works for the Olympians directly. Cerberus has three heads and one body and likes to play with Mrs. O'Leary and rubber balls. One of the labors of Hercules was to bring Cerberus from the Underworld to the Earth above. Hades agreed to let Hercules take Cerberus back to the world of the living, if he could remove Cerberus from the Underworld, with only his brute strength and without killing him. In that myth, when he took him out of the living world, Eurystheus immediately told him (by messenger) that to complete that labor he had to return Cerberus. He is the father of the hellhounds by Nyx. Despite being scary and fiercily deticated to his duty, Cerberus is quite docile, playing rubber balls with Annabeth and quickly socializing with Mrs. O'Leary. He's also very large, dwarfing even the biggest hellhound, since Percy claimed that Mrs. O'Leary (whose height is that of a garbage truck) is a puppie if compared to Cerberus in terms of stature.
Appearance
Cerberus (Κέρβερος in Ancient Greek) is an enormous, semi-transparent (he grows more visible the closer you are to death), '"pure-bred rottweiler" with three heads, found at the gates to the Underworld.
Interactions
This beast feasibly takes 2 to 4 demigods to fight and kill.
Strengths
Cerberus has three heads. This allows him to have an incredible field of vision and more jaws to bite prey with. Being huge, like a hellhound, he can use his size to his advantage.
Weaknesses
Cerberus is partial to rubber balls.
Tactics
Ceberus can use his great size and strength to his advantage, causing terror and turmoil in the midst of battle. He is able to crush and swat away opponents like flies, which can break bones and cause fatal damage.

Orthrus[]
{{Orthrus}}
Orthrus
Difficulty: Easy
Meet the most ultimate sheepdog ever, one with two dogs inside.
History
KYON ORTHROS (or Orthus) was a two-headed, serpent-tailed dog, a brother of monsters such as Kerberos and the Khimaira. He mated with the latter, siring the Sphinx and Nemean Lion.
His master was the three-bodied giant Geryon, king of the sunset isle of Erytheia. Orthros was set to guard his master's fabulous herd of red-skinned cattle. When Herakles was sent to fetch these as one of his twelve labours, he slew Orthros, the herdsman Eurytion and Geryon.
The word orthros in Greek means "morning twilight." His name was also spelt Orthos, after another word meaning "straight" or "height."
Appearance
He is lanky, with the body of a German Shepard. He has two heads, giving him the advantages of having basically 2 dogs in 1 body. He has the paws and jaws of a dog, as well as various other dog traits.
Interactions
This beast takes 1 to 3 demigods to kill.
Strengths
He is very strong-willed and is hard to move, based on his many days tending to herds of cattle. He does not like to be moved easily and will try to fight back with his hardest skill.
Weaknesses
He does not have any strength, speed, or major size advantages that make him better then fighting 2 pitbulls.
Tactics
He can use his claws and jaws to lash out, as well as using them to inflict damage on the unprotected. He can use his jaws to growl and snap, and these noises are quite big and can scare off unwitting and jumpy demigods without a trace.

Chimera[]
{{Chimera}}
Chimera
Difficulty: Easy
Not 1, not 2, but 3 different animals in a single body.
History
In ancient myths, the Chimera was killed by Bellerphon on Pegasus when Bellerphon jammed a lead ball into its mouth. The ball melted, killing it with lead poison and suffocation. The original Chimera died long ago at the hands of the hero Bellerophon, though lesser Chimera still prowl the labyrinth of Crete.
Appearance
The chimera is comprised of the parts of three different animals. It has the body and maned head of the lion. A goat's head is attached to its back. It has the tail of a serpent.
Interactions
This beast can be killed with a group of 1 to 3 people
Strengths
It can breathe fire. Its snake-headed tail has venomous fangs and excretes a venom that is acidic. It has human intelligence. It is immensely strong.
Weaknesses
He is easily suffocated and discharged, making him an easy target for poisoning. Also, cutting off some of its heads makes it lose certain traits.
Tactics
The chimera will try and pounce on its victims and bite them. It uses its hind legs to kick its traget. If it only has its lion head left, it will go on a blind rampage.

The Furies[]
{{The Furies}}
The Furies: (Alecto, Megaera, Sisiphone)
Difficulty: Easy
These 3 beasts are truly furious, so it's best not to cross them when they're angry.
The Furies in the Underworld
History
The When the Titan Kronos castrated his father, Uranus, and threw what was left into the sea, the Erinyes emerged from the drops of blood, while Aphrodite was born from the sea foam. According to a variant account, they issued from an even more primordial level—from Nyx, 'Night'. For the Orphism are Hades and Persephone the parents of the Erinyes.
History recognized three:
Alecto, "The Angry"
Megaera, "The Grudging"
Tisiphone, "The Avenger"
In the story of Canto VIII of the Inferno they confront the poets at the gates of the city of Dis. The heads of the Erinyes, whom the two poets met in Canto IV, were wreathed with serpents and their eyes dripped with blood, rendering their appearance rather horrific. Sometimes they had the wings of a bat or bird, and the body of a dog. Since the Greeks were afraid of saying their names they are called by different euphemisms.
Appearance
The furies possess the heads of whichever Erinye they represnt, with bloody eyes and crown of serpents. They have wings that belong to either birds or bats. Their bodies are those of a dog.
Interactions
This beast can be killed with a group of 1 to 3 people.
Strengths
The Furies are among the fastest reformers in existence. They take only seven to twelve days to reform.
Weaknesses
As long as you are not chained down, the strikes of their whips can be dodged.
Tactics
They attack with fiery whips. These whips can cause intense pain and suffering, but can also be used for other purposes in combat.
