Haze Ryong is a daughter of Zeus who had arrived in Camp Half Blood last June, 2014. Other than wanting new friends and a new life, she wishes to become stronger, physically and mentally. Barely a year since her arrival, she is the lieutenant of her Cabin One. Along with Song Park Joo, she has made two (Ember Glass and Zaphkiel Wu) other close friends. Seeing as how she decides to focus her feelings towards her studies, this lightning debater withholds all her romantic feelings (but continues to fangirl). She is currently single.

Haze's attitude is directly related to her dreams, which she gravely yearns to accomplish; yet there are times she feels so hopeless that she finds somewhere to escape, may it be her depressing thoughts or online. Due to her insecurity, this daughter of Zeus then seeks for power and adapts the belief of being slightly Machiavellian to please the eyes of others, thinking this would make her "strong."

With the first look, Haze seems to be another bubbly Asian girl; however, once asked of her values and opinions, she is the 180 degree of a ball of sunshine---a Machiavellian ENTJ. After exterminating her insecurities, she has risen once more as the charismatic, confident (at least appearance-wise), calculating, efficient, and objective individual. This daughter of Zeus promises with the best of her abilities, expects the best of the crop, and abhors any type of sugar-coated comfort. She does adores intellectual discussions and fulfilling dreams. Oh! Despite having little intention to lead when all is efficiently done, Zeus' little leader also loves learning, debating, writing, and charming people with her kind facade.

Offensive

Children of Zeus can manipulate latent electricity in the atmosphere, focusing it into a lightning strike. Static can be seen building up around the target briefly before the strike.
Children of Zeus have the ability to flow an electrical current into any sort of metal weaponry which will shock anyone it strikes; the current can only be maintained while they are holding the weapon.

Defensive

Children of Zeus have the ability to emanate a field of electrical static which stuns anyone nearby for a short time. They cannot move while maintaining the field.
Children of Zeus can launch a powerful gust of wind in all directions, repelling attacks and potentially sending enemies flying.

Passive

Children of Zeus are innately immune to electrocution.
Children of Zeus can communicate with and command birds.
Children of Zeus are innately stronger during severe weather, and are less inhibited by wind and precipitation.
Children of Zeus's bodies give off harmless levels of electricity that can power or short-circuit electronics if they wish.
Children of Zeus need much less oxygen to survive, letting them breathe normally at high altitudes or hold their breaths for long periods.

Supplementary

Children of Zeus have the ability to control the winds to hover or fly, however, the longer they fly the more it drains them.
Children of Zeus have the ability to call upon the winds to speed their movements or attacks; this can also be used oppositely to slow the movements or attacks of others.
Children of Zeus are able to call a flock of birds to their aid, that will then help to either defend or attack for a short time.
Children of Zeus are able to cause a booming thunderclap, deafening and potentially stunning anyone nearby for a few seconds.

Children of Zeus can summon a weather front of their choice to an area, such as creating a thunderstorm, snowstorm, high winds, heat wave, or any other natural form of weather. The longer the change is maintained, and the more extreme the change from the current climate, the more they are drained.

6 Months After Character is Made

Children of Zeus are able to transform into an eagle at will, allowing them to move undetected, scout their surroundings, and fly long distances without tiring. The longer they sustain this form, the more time they need to rest between transformations.

9 Months After Character is Made

Children of Zeus can call down a lightning strike from the heavens, directly onto themselves, and absorb its full power into their bodies for a short time. In this state, the user is much stronger and faster, static electricity emanates from their skin, and all of their powers over lightning are substantially increased. Once the energy subsides, the user is left heavily weakened from the strain on their muscles, and they may be unable to move for a long time.

Her Story

Moon Hae-Ra was a rich Chinese daughter of Hecate who married Ryong Tae-Gun, a striving Korean businessman. Even after a year of marriage, they were unfortunately not blessed with children, thus Hae-Ra constantly prayed to the deities for a child. Fortunately, the gods have heard her prayers, especially Zeus, who had fancied her since her camp days. With the help of Apate, Hae-Ra slept with her "husband," who was actually Zeus, in a beach resort; in the light of things, Hae-Ra was finally pregnant with a child.

Nine months later, a baby girl was born. While curling in a ball, the baby girl’s pointed nose and round face were evident. There was even a birthmark that appeared like a lightning strike behind her neck. Her parents then named her Haze due to her hazel eyes; however, her Asian name, ironically, stores the special tribute to the sea. Half of her family was glad of her birth, yet the other half disliked her for her gender.

The daughter of Zeus grew up in an unhappy home. Although it was better than most, she would often hear painful comments from her relatives, friends, and her parents; yet this did not hinder her from continuing to dream for a better. Even at an early age, she became stressed with her grades, not allowing herself to get anything lower than a C. At home, she had to worry about being screamed at by her uncles and aunts. Due to wanting praise and appreciation from her parents, Haze often works hard beneath a smile to hone her skills to the sharpest they can be; however, most plans just don't work out, which depresses her. It seemed liked there was no place for her.

In one of those years, she had a little brother named Tae-Hyun. The birth of Tae-Hyun helped the situation of having a boy in the family; however, this made Haze strive harder to gain attention. She was even more persevering to outwit her brother in whatever activities there will be. Despite having a close bond together, Haze never saw her brother as someone she could share her worries to.

One night, when Haze was a mere age of eight, Zeus had spoken with Hae-Ra about Haze’s identity in a dream. Zeus handed her twin hooked swords in form of two earrings and warned Hae-Ra of the life Haze had to live as well, especially greater due to the fact she is a daughter of the Big Three. That night Hae-Ra, clipped the earrings onto the sleeping girl's ears. Devastated by the fact this was a child of another man, Hae-Ra decided to keep this information away from Tae-Gun, Tae-Hyun, and Haze for the next years of their life.

After a little event, monsters were frequent events to Haze. At the age of 10, Haze had her first monster attack. Being an early bird, Haze regularly went to school on early mornings. As she was walking down the hall, she saw a black dog and started to pet it. The dog suddenly shifted into a large hellhound. This took Haze aback, and her luck was shining bright when a thunderbolt flew right into its mouth. Haze then found glistening bronze swords next to her. Since it was a time of life or death, Haze picked up the swords and swung them at the hellhound, disintegrating it. Wiping off the sweat, the student went to class without another word, pondering about the event.

There were many reasons why Haze is still alive today. Although she was not athletic as most children, she tried her best to stay fit in case of another disaster. Her mother signed her up for a few sports such as swimming, dancing, and running. Also, without knowing, another point that kept her alive was her mother secretly asked for one of her teacher's help in protecting her; her teacher was apparently a daughter of Psyche, one who will make a great impact in her life. Although she would experience at least two monster attacks every year, ranging from harpies to Scythian dracanaes, Hae-Ra and the daughter of Psyche protected her.

Due to her constant want for escape, Haze began to be exposed to various websites online, where she met the set of friends she would never forget. One of them was a Korean boy by the name of "Park Hyoon." Unlike Park Hyoon, the rest would only know part of her perfectionism. Starting at the age of 12, the daughter of Zeus would come home, lock her room, and always exchange messages about fears, worries, and expectations. After a series of chats, Haze secretly became attached Park Hyoon but knew her feelings for him could never be. Little did she know that it was one of the idols her friends admired most behind that screen, who used a friend's picture and name. When Hae-Ra found out Haze was obsessed with her gadgets, she created a field to hide her scent from being transmitted. Left unaware of all these, Haze still talks to Park Hyoon every night and day.

Thanks to the special teacher, the daughter of Psyche, Haze found love for the English language in her high school years. She started debating, writing, emceeing, and competing even more than her childhood years. Her teacher encouraged her with opportunities for the whole year, so she was not someone Haze would easily forget. It was during one of her debate matches that the daughter of Zeus met Kiana Kwang, a daughter of Apollo. After knowing they were from the same school, Kiana started to talk to Haze. Unfortunately, a monster had disrupted their little conversation in the bathroom. Before the lamai could attack, it was zapped by a bolt of lightning and ray of light. The two looked at each other as Kiana allowed Haze to give the final blow with her CB swords. Kiana then offered Haze a home in camp as a daughter of Zeus. Once the offer was given to her, Haze immediately accepted. She wanted to be freed of her worries, at least for a few months.

Haze took Kiana home to meet her parents. Her mother agreed to Haze to camp. Once she was transferred to a school in New York, Haze packed her things and flew straight to New York. The thirteen hour flight was worth it when she was escorted to Camp Half Blood by Kiana. Luckily, the two did not encounter any monstrosity of any sort. Haze went to camp at the age of 15.
