Leonard is described as a cold and cynical man with an appetite for vengeance for the gods - more specifically, Apollo. Due to this, this is one of Leonard's strives to bring down the gods and let the titans reign. Another is his admiration for his mother, Hecate, for putting a spell onto him to heal him from his birth defect. Thus, he's loyal to his fellow members of the Champions of Othrys and devoted to them. However, he's been noted to be rebellious - not enough to be a lone wolf, but following orders is quite a challenge, but not impossible. When Leonard goes through something, he doesn't leave it half finished due to the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. So while Leonard is rebellious, he won't ever leave a job half finished.

Not much is known about Leonard's past, but he does experience his fair share of flashbacks. Living with an abusive father had taken a toll onto him, and while he steels himself from showing any form of weakness such as pain or grief, it does slip out of him every once in a while, whether it be some sort of trigger or dream. Leonard sees being comforted as a mockery; something that requires pity and he doesn't do pity. He's blunt and straight to the point, letting people hear what they need to hear - not what they want to hear. Due to this, he's very pessimistic and always sees the worst in things rather than the best. Leonard says he's always been that way, but it's a lie that he tells himself that his pessimism formed due to his bad past.

Life for Benjamin Noble wasn't always the greatest. Whether it would be his absent father or his mother that fell in love with a bottle, it was never fulfilling. So, once he hit eighteen, the man booked it to Livorno, Italy. He has cousins living there, so Benjamin made a few calls and agreements and was able to live with his cousins, Luca, Matteo and Leonardo. His cousins helped him find a job, get settled and teach him Italian. The language was harder than he thought it would be, but recognised some words and phrases that his mother spoke around the house.

As a young adult, life through some hard balls at him. Leonardo, the youngest of his cousins, had died from heart failure, his mother was killed from a bank robber, and their house was beginning to foreclose. So, Benjamin had to work overtime and two jobs to keep his family standing. But when that began to become overwhelming, he ran. He ran and never looked back. Due to his stubborn personality, he refused to go back to America and, instead, found a place of his own and continued to work, finding a different job near his home and found a group of friends.

For a few years, his life was not that bad; he developed a taste for alcohol and a bad attitude, but all in all, it was more boring than bad. That changed when Benjamin was 28 when his house began to become... strange. He would hear footsteps in the night, someone going up and down the stairs and the lights would flicker, like a child flipping the light switch on and off. When telling his mates about it, some even had the same things happen to them. They concluded his house was haunted - ghosts residing there - and that if they stayed, they would attract more.

Benjamin didn't buy it, but when one angry spirit tried to kill him by causing the electrical wiring in his home to short circuit and nearly cause a house fire, he agreed to take that suggestion to get rid of the ghosts. Giovani, one of his friends, handed him a card with a name - Rowena - and a number. Benjamin thought it was a little ridiculous, but he called nevertheless, stating his ghost problem.

A couple days later, she arrived. She was a beautiful woman with dark hair and blue eyes and Benjamin was immediately smitten. Rowena entered Benjamin's home and winced. She spoke that his house was severely haunted, but she spoke that she would get it done. All he had to do was stay out for a couple of days. And so, he did.

Rowena, however, was the titaness Hecate in disguise. While she sensed Benjamin's hardy attitude, she was attractive to his hard working spirit and his determination. She reconciled with the ghosts and helped let them move on. She came back to Benjamin and announced that his home was cleared, and his payment was a couple of drinks and a good time. With a smirk, Benjamin agreed.

Whilst Benjamin was rather drunk, Hecate wasn't, but she didn't seem to mind. However, it didn't stop Benjamin from having sex with her, and woke up with a hangover and the memories of last night. Like Rowena had said, the ghosts were gone and he was able to sleep peacefully for the first time in a month. Now, he had to wonder if he would ever see the woman again, and the answer is yes, but not what he had expected.

Nine months later, Benjamin got a knock on his door in the middle of the night. It was Rowena, but she had something - or someone - in her arms. Benjamin let her in and sat her down. Rowena explained she was the titaness Hecate and that's how she was able to banish the ghosts. She apologised for lying and never meant to bear a child, but she thought it was too cruel to kill him. Benjamin said he would take care of him, but he couldn't do it alone. Hecate trusted him with her child and bid her farewells, that she would be watching out for them both.

As Benjamin set back home to California, he named his son, Leonard, after his late cousin.

Benjamin was still neglecting to go back to his father, so he asked his brother, Christopher, if he could stay with him, which he agreed. A couple of times Christopher questioned why Benjamin couldn't return home, but that wasn't until he met his newborn son, Leonard. Benjamin didn't know a thing about taking care of a baby, Christopher did. He has children and an ex-wife, so it was better to have his help.

While things were going smoothly for a few months, Leonard began to cry like he was in pain, struggling to breathe. Benjamin took him to the hospital immediately and cried for help. After a couple of hours, the doctors told him that Leonard was dying from a heart disease. This couldn't be happening again, could it? Benjamin visited his dying son to say goodbye, and remembered what Hecate had said. So, Benjamin spoke to the titaness, hoping she would hear him.

And she did. Someone moved from his peripheral view and he looked over to see the dark haired titaness. She smiled somberly and said that she could heal him with a spell, but it could have some physical side effects. Benjamin didn't care, as long as he was alive. She nodded and muttered something in ancient Greek, green wisps of magic flowing from her hands and into the baby.

Colour returned to his cheeks and wailed as Benjamin sobbed, holding his baby. When he looked back up to thank Hecate, she was gone, but Benjamin knew she knew he was grateful. The doctors came back and said it was a miracle of God - which made the father snicker - and would keep Leonard overnight.

Upon entering his home, Hecate had been waiting for him, not long however. She warned Benjamin that his life was going to get very interesting once he turned thirteen, and that there was a safe haven for kids like him - Camp Half-Blood - in New York. Benjamin promised to take him and Hecate nodded before exiting. For now, he had to protect his son and raise him right, and he's just thankful his brother was here to help him.

By the time Leonard was five, his uncle, Christopher and his father, Benjamin, were raising him together, but Leonard had always asked why he didn't have a mommy. Benjamin said he did, but she was just very busy. He didn't understand, but never questioned further. It didn't mean he wasn't happy with his father and uncle, but sometimes, he just felt left out. Nevertheless, he was happy.

One girl in Leonard's class asked if he had two dads, but Leonard simply said it was his dad and uncle, but why would there be a problem? The girl pressed about how he needed a mother to be happy, but he was already happy. The little girl kept asking and finally, Leonard got angry. His eyes glowed golden which caused the little girl to scream and cry in fright. Leonard's eyes turned back to light blue at her screaming and went back to his seat.

Leonard didn't understand what happened, but it was the side effect of the spell placed upon him to heal his heart, but he didn't know. Since he didn't do anything wrong, the teacher couldn't punish him. The teacher did, however, call Benjamin about his son's behaviour. It was odd, since Leonard never really had any problems. Sure, a couple of temper tantrums, but no problems. The girl that provoked Leonard had asked him about a mother, but he didn't seem upset about not having one.

When taking Leonard home, Benjamin asked what he wanted to do with his birthday party, and he said he wanted a jungle themed party. Benjamin and Christopher got to work and Leonard invited everyone in his class. However, only three kids showed up; Gabriel, James and Oscar. Benjamin expected Leonard to be upset, but was a bit surprised when he wasn't. And since then, the four boys became attached at the hip.

As time passed, Leonard watched as his father began to spiral into his addiction as his last two cousins were killed by the Italian Mafia. Benjamin didn't know how or why but Leonard got to attend his first funeral in Italy at age 10. While the sights were amazing, the reason was depressing. Leonard wasn't close to his father's cousins, but for some reason, he felt as if he lost someone too. Thus, he wept and once again, his eyes glowed golden. Luckily, his father noticed before anyone else and took him outside, checking his eyes. They didn't seem to hurt him and recalled what Hecate had said those years ago. Perhaps, this was the side effect.

It never happened any other times, so maybe it was only triggered by powerful, overwhelming emotions? Regardless, Benjamin hugged his son as Leonard cried into his shoulder. This would be the last time his father showed him any remorse.

Back at home, it took only a month for Benjamin to snap in drunken rage. The first incident happened when Christopher wasn't home and his father threw an empty beer bottle at him. The glass shattered against the wall and some shards had cut his face. In terror and fright, Leonard fled into the night, tears streaming down his face and getting into the small cuts that stung. The demititan had been going to Oscar's house since he was nearby and caught his reflection in the window of another house.

His eyes were... glowing? How and why? Leonard rubbed his eyes, but the glowing didn't go away. Wiping his tears, the boy forced himself to calm down and noticed that the glow ceased once he was calmer. He took note of that and headed the rest of the way to Oscar's and knocked. It was late and they were probably asleep until Oscar's mother answered, gasping softly as the bleeding cuts.

Leading him inside, she asked what happened and Leonard explained as he tried not to become overwhelmed with sadness. She set up the couch for Leonard and let him spend the night and took him home in the morning. Thankfully, Christopher answered and Oscar's mother told him about what happened. Christopher talked about to Benjamin once he got home, and if this were to continue, he would have to leave and leave his son with him.

It never got better and Christopher went through with his promise, kicking Benjamin out and leaving Leonard in his custody. Leonard knew that this was for his own good, but he couldn't help but feel lost.

At age thirteen was his first monster attack. It was just a couple of weeks after Leonard's birthday and the boy decided to head to the store to pick up a cupcake for dessert when large, pigeon like birds began to follow him. At first, Leonard didn't bat an eye, but when they kept continuing, it was beginning to get weird and honestly, disturbing. Soon, he burst into a sprint and the birds swooped down to him, cutting his flesh. The demititan screamed and asked for help when one was shot out of the sky and landed in front of him, an arrow in its body and turning into gold dust.

The birds turned to the attacker as well as Leonard. A lean woman with a bow and arrow at her disposal had taken down one of the birds and began to pull out another arrow from her quiver. The large pigeons began to direct their attention to the female as Leonard ran. He didn't want to stick around to see the aftermath nor did he want anymore of those beasts to attack him. Upon entering his home, Leonard took a good look at his wounds and, luckily, they were only slashes and not something more severe like his flesh ripped off.

The demititan began to fix up his slashes and when Christopher noticed the bandages wrapped around his arms, he began to fret. Leonard said the truth; these flock of birds attacked him, but left out the part where a woman came and, quite literally, saved his ass. Instead, he said he got away, which wasn't a lie. Christopher said if they began to hurt to tell him and he'll help.

It seemed routine as well. He would get attacked once a year, get away by outrunning the monsters or someone would kill them. However, it wasn't until he was fifteen that he received a package in the mail by his mother. Leonard was perplexed considering he's never seen his mother - nor ever heard from her - until now. With caution, he opened the package and found a bar chain bracelet. He was confused until he pulled the little bar out of the bracelet and it grew into a six foot long staff. Leonard blinked in surprise and saw a button at the end of it and pressed it, blades popping out from the tips of the staff.

Immediately, he dropped it and it fell with a metallic "clank!". Christopher called up, asking what that was and Leonard pressed the button on the bladed staff once more and the staff retracted its blades and turned back into a charm. The demititan had half a mind to throw the charm away, but it was the only thing his mother has ever given to him, so he had to keep it. He slid the bar back into the chain and put on the bracelet. It complimented Leonard nicely, perhaps he would keep it.

He looked inside the package to see if there was anything else, and only found a note inside. He picked up the piece of paper and read;

"I'm sorry I can't be there for you, Leonard. Please take this gift as my apologies."

Leonard felt a sense of loneliness at the absence of his mother, so he folded up the note and kept it in one of his drawers for safekeeping.

A couple months later, Leonard went out with his childhood friends to the arcade after school and saw Benjamin. In a panic, he began to redirect his friends to a different route. When Gabriel asked, Oscar hit him on the chest, saying even that man creeped him out. However, it wasn't that he was giving off strange vibes, it was the fact that man was his father and he hasn't seen him in five years - spare for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but even then, it was like he wasn't even there.

A couple hours later of arcade games, greasy fast food and sugary sodas, Leonard began to head home until he was stopped by his father. He spoke of a special camp he needed to go to, but he reeked of cheap alcohol, so the boy kept walking until Benjamin grabbed his arm in a vice grip, barking that what he was speaking was true. Leonard growled to let him go and tried to yank him off. However, he wouldn't budge and begged him to go to New York or he will be in more danger.

Yet, Leonard still didn't budge. With a huff, Benjamin let him go and said not to come crying to him when he was right. The half-breed rubbed his arm once his father let him go and headed home, telling his uncle he ran into his father. Christopher perked up and made sure Leonard was okay, which he was, thankfully. His uncle said the next time Leonard sees his father to call him and Leonard nodded.

Leonard's seventeenth birthday was around the corner and he had plans: invite his friends for pizza and cake, video games and maybe sneak some beer from his uncle's refrigerator. When that time came around and his uncle was out, the boys drank a few of bottles and found themselves drunkenly talking about nothing and laughing about everything. There was a knock at the door and Leonard staggered over and opened it, furrowing his brows when seeing it was his father.

Benjamin noticed Leonard's drunken state and grabbed him by his hair, spitting that he shouldn't be drinking at a young age. His friends sobered up a bit and Leonard tried to push him away as his friends tried to get Benjamin off of him. However, the boys were still quite drunk, so anything they tried was futile. His father kept lecturing how he had his whole life ahead of him and he had to go and get drunk? He was projecting his problems onto Leonard when Leonard just wanted to have some fun.

As Benjamin had his face in a hold and tears springing from his eyes, his light blue optics turning glowing gold, Christopher was suddenly ripping Benjamin off of his nephew, Leonard sinking to the ground and covering his face. Christopher threw his brother out of the house and threatened to call the police for trespassing and harassment. Benjamin sneered at Christopher and left, leaving Christopher to clean up the mess.

Leonard clung to his uncle after Christopher called his friend's parents to take them home and let Leonard cry and held him. Eventually, the demititan wore himself out and Christopher took him to bed. Upon entering the living room, he was surprised to find a dark haired woman with light blue eyes and fair skin. She rose from her seat and spoke she was Leonard's mother, Hecate. At first, Christopher had no reason to believe this strange woman, but she spoke that Benjamin could clear her name - even speaking Leonard's full name, birthday and place of birth.

Still hesitant and mildly freaked out, Christopher asked what she was doing here and why she decided to show up now after all these years. Replying, Hecate explained she wanted Leonard to have a good life since Benjamin couldn't fulfill his end, but he was now in danger of monsters and his own father. Christopher expressed that he didn't know what to do, but Hecate did. She instructed that there was a safe haven for him in New York. She found a pen and paper and hastily wrote down the address and handed it to Christopher and that they needed to leave as soon as possible.

The next morning, Christopher had their things packed and train tickets to New York from Los Angeles. He woke Leonard and began to head to the station, his nephew nursing a hangover and drowsiness. Thankfully, he was able to sleep on the train, his head in his uncle's lap. Christopher had to ask himself if this was really the best thing to do for him. The two were on the train for two days before reaching their destination.

The two got a taxi and once arriving, they wondered if this was the right place until they saw a couple of teenagers go into the forest. One stopped, sniffed the air and turned to the two, going up to Leonard. She asked if he was a demigod and didn't know what to say. She asked again if he was ever attacked by giant dogs, weird birds or anything of the sort and he said yes, the girl took his hand and led him and his uncle into the forest.

After walking for a few minutes, they came across the camp, even Christopher saw. The satyr girl looked over at Christopher with curiosity, but he must've been able to see through the mist. However, their scent attracted a group of Telekhines. The three went pass the borders but Christopher couldn't pass and Leonard wasn't going in without him. Unfortunately, the Telekhines attacked him and ripped him limb from limb as Leonard watched. In fury, the demititan took out his staff and unsheathed the blades, his eyes turning gold in wrath.

A camper told him that there was nothing he could do and he would just get himself killed. He didn't care, he would die and he needed revenge, but one spoke that Apollo would heal him, as he is the god of medicine and healing. Begrudgingly, Leonard withdrew and was claimed by Hecate.

For a year, he prayed to Apollo to bring his uncle back but was met with nothing. He called his father about the passing of his uncle and he yelled over the phone that it was his fault, and he was right. Once summer rolled around, Leonard went back home to live with his father for awhile as camp was just too much at the moment.

He was met with violence, curses and scars. And he tried to steel himself through all of it, but the death of his uncle on his hands was too much to bear. For a short while, Leonard turned to drugs to numb the pain, but he noticed he would only sink to his father's level. Then he came to a conclusion; if Apollo would only play his part, this wouldn't have happened. He became furious at the god, cursing at him.

He swore he would never go back to camp, but seeing as he had no other choice - with his abusive father and hardly any money, he had to if he wanted to live a live without being hunted by monster. He finally left at the age of twenty-five and upon reaching the forest, he looked at the camp in disdain. But, there was someone near the border that Leonard couldn't see and grabbed him, dragging him deep in the forest.

Using his powers, Leonard teleported out of the person's hold and got out his staff, the blades protruding and ready for combat. The two fought for some time until Leonard grabbed the person' sword with his hand - the blade digging into his flesh - and began to levitate his enemy. The person was confused and asked who's child he was to do this and Leonard spat out, "Hecate".

The person explained he was from a division strictly for the titans, like his mother, to overthrow the gods and let the titans reign once again. Leonard set them down and asked for more information. They asked if the gods had done anything for him, which he replied that he was promised Apollo would revive his late uncle, but was met with nothing. If the gods really cared, where were they? Why did they make these monsters, to which the other demititan replied that they didn't care.

Leonard wanted to join, he wanted the gods to meet their match and let the titans and his mother rule once again. They smiled and took Leonard's hand, guiding him to the Champion of Othrys.

Overconsumption of potions can result in overdose symptoms and some potions could have side-effects or not work at all.

  1. Children of Hecate can conjure spells to teleport themselves and allies. The further the distance, the more energy drained.

  3. Children of Hecate are able to use some healing spells to quickly heal minor wounds and slowly heal major wounds. Fatal wounds cannot be healed.

3 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Hecate are able to control the Mist around them, allowing them to create optical illusions that can fool even demigods. The illusions can confuse enemies with false memories, alter the appearance of the user or their allies, change the appearance of items or weapons or even alter the appearance of the environment to an extent. Changes to the Mist only last for a short time, mist control is less draining than custom spells. (6 month)

6 Months After a Character is Made

Spells cannot be overly powerful or controlling. The more complex and powerful the spell, the more energy it drains from the user.

9 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Hecate have the ability to focus all their magical abilities into transforming themselves into any living being, or even a being of their own imagination. This power is, in essence, the ability to shapeshift into anything the user can imagine. The user can transform into another human, an animal, a monster, or anything in between. The transformation can last as long as the user wishes it to, but the longer they hold their form the more it drains them. They cannot cast any spells while the transformation is in place and they cannot transform into anything overly powerful. (Like a rabbit that can make people’s heads explode with a thought. ) The form they shift into cannot be larger than 2 to 3 times the human size of the user, and after the user resumes their regular form they are severely drained. Unable to move from exhaustion and they could possibly faint. This power can only be used once in a fight.

  1. Children of Hecate typically love the magical arts, many of them are known for writing spellbooks. Her children have created/re-introduced and improved spells and techniques all over history.
