Personality[]
When you first meet her, she may not seem very friendly, but once you gain her trust, you'll find a wild, adventurous, spirited, stealthy, loyal, caring, and fierce girl named Nika. She likes animals, especially mice, and snowboarding. She doesn't like books and reading. She sometimes get annoyed at mortals because they have no idea what's really going on.
History[]
Dale Pierce was a demigod son of Deimos who lived in Northern New York. One night while on night patrol, (he worked as a policeman) he saw a woman wandering around. He pulled up and asked her if she was lost. He thought that she was beautiful. He thought something about her was familiar, but he couldn't his finger on it. She answered that she was fine, and was just heading home. He nodded and continued on his patrol. An hour or so later he saw two men about to mug the same woman. He arrested the men and took an interview of the woman, whose name was Nadia Nightingdale. Once he was finished with the interview, he told her she was very pretty, and asked if they could meet sometime. She agreed. They met several times in the next few months.
One day she did not turn up for the meeting they had planned. Dale tried to reach her, but it seemed like she had disappeared. He was very sad and disappointed, but he moved on. A month or so later, he found a baby on his doorstep. A note was pinned to her clothes. It said:
Dale, this is our baby, Nika, please take care of her.
There was a lot of evidence that meant Nadia was a goddess, and that Nika was a demigod, but Dale wasn't the kind of person who went by something that wasn't proved.
He raised Nika as a normal child. They moved a few times due to monster attacks. Nika was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia when she was 8. In thrid grade she was bullied by some people she thought were her friends. This experience is why she isn't too friendly to people she's just met. In fourth grade, her class had some pet mice, which she found a fascination for. In fifth and sixth grade she lived close to a place to snowboard at, which prompted her to start snowboarding. She often helped her father with his police cases. Her first monster attack came on her twelfth birthday. She and her dad had gone snowboarding for her birthday. While she was going down a hill, a hellhound burst out from behind a hill and leapt straight for her. She swerved, fell, and sprained her wrist. Her father vaporized it with a sword. He then acted as if she had just lost her balance, and took her to the doctor. He began to watch her closely. A month or two later, Nika was doing homework in her bedroom when a harpy appeared out of nowhere and attacked her. Her screams alerted her father and he came rushing in. He killed the harpy with a quick slash of his sword.
Now that there was overwhelming evidence that Nika was a demigod, he brought over a satyr whom he had been friends with during his time at camp. Once the satyr met Nika, it was obvious to him that she was a demigod. It was then explained to her that the greek gods were real, and that she was a daughter of one of them. Her dad drove her to Camp Half-Blood so she could learn to defend herself. When she stepped over the border, she was claimed by her mother. That night, just before she went to bed, she found a note, a ring, and a bracelet laying on her bed. The note said:
Dear Nika, put on the ring and spin the jet gemstone. It will turn into a shield. Put on the bracelet and tug the the "N" charm. It will turn into a celestial bronze dagger. Use them to protect yourself. Your mother, Nyx

Ofensive[]
- Children of Nyx have the ability to conjure weapon out of pure shadows which can be used for combat; however, only one weapon can be conjured at a time and it cannot be bigger than the one who conjured it. This can also be used for other non-combative objects, but within reason, something might be shaped like an iPod, but as shadows do not have any working parts and source of electricity, such as batteries, they would not actually play music.
- Children of Nyx have the ability to conjure a rope of shadows which are bound around an unsuspecting victim; the ropes remain on the person for a short time before vanishing.
Defensive[]
- Children of Nyx have the ability to conjure a cloak of pure shadows which will blunt most attacks but slow the movement of the conjurer.
- Children of Nyx can bend shadows around them, concealing them for a short time.
Passive[]
- Children of Nyx are innately strong during the night.
- Children of Nyx can see perfectly in the night as if it were day.
Supplementary[]
- Children of Nyx have the ability to Shadow Travel, a sort of teleportation; the further the distance, the more is energy drained.
3 Months After Character Is Made[]
- Children of Nyx are able to create complete darkness in a small area for a short time, extinguishing all light sources
6 Months After Character Is Made[]
- Children of Nyx are able to use the shadows to make a shadow creature, no larger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user, to fight for them for a short time, while the shadow creature is fighting they are incapacitated and the longer they use the shadow creature the more energy it drains
9 Months After Character Is Made[]
- Children of Nyx have the ability to shed their flesh and turn into a state of pure shadows and while in this state, the user is granted flight, immune to all attacks and anything they touch has their vision stripped away is flung into a state of intense terror and paranoia; however, once the user changes back they will be extremely drained and immobile for a long time.

Nika has two pet mice. One is a black male and the other is a black and white female. The male's name is Midnight and the female's name is Starlight.
