Boreas had watched the wife of current Air Force pilot Derek Frost, Ashley Frost, for quite a while now... She had caught his eye when she was practicing out on an iced over lake, dancing fluidly without a partner, and he manifested to her. One thing led to another, and when the two of them won a competition, and Derek was deployed for a few weeks, they slept together. When Derek returned, he found Ashley pregnant and was overjoyed. The two had been trying, but he was unable to get his wife pregnant, and finding her so, made him forget everything that the two of them had fought about and he turned his attention to the future and a life with a child, much like almost every other one of their neighbors.
On December 23rd, 2002, right in the middle of the Alaskan winter, Ashley gave birth to a tiny baby girl. The couple named her Pyrrha Elizabeth Frost, Pyrrha after the faint red hair she had covering her head, and Elizabeth after her sister who had been killed in action. Pyrrha grew up in a normal family, well, normal in military terms. In other words, she spent her days inside and in front of the fireplace with hot chocolate in hand, watching movies or napping when not over at a neighbor's house for a little playdate with the other children.
She started elementary school at the age of five and moved through the years with a natural grace that was almost eerie to see. During those years is when everything started to change. As the weather grew brighter and warmer, Pyrrha found herself having little dreams here and there, and when she turned ten, she received a dream from a man introducing himself as Apollo, Lord of the Sun. During the dream, she was offered the position of his priestess, and Pyrrha accepted the honor. From then on, she would serve Apollo as his Priestess, and act as Head Priestess for Camp Half-Blood, as he instructed.
When Pyrrha turned eleven, she had her first monster sighting: watching a hellhound move around a corner just down the street from her school, but when she asked her parents, they said they saw a German shepherd. That made Pyrrha suspicious, and she began to actively try and do research on the creature she saw, but the more research she did, the more she felt like it was putting her on the radar... and she was correct. When she was twelve, she was attacked by a hellhound, killing it with lances of ice that she had summoned before she managed to run back to her house. It was that that set the stage. Boreas appeared to Ashley in a dream, told her everything, and told her to go to an antique shop on the borders of Anchorage and find a bronze knife for Pyrrha's thirteenth birthday.
Ashley followed Boreas' instructions and told Pyrrha everything that Boreas had told her, giving the bronze knife to her as well. Pyrrha was shocked, to say the least by the news, and almost ignored her parents for the next few days. When school started back up for her, she ran into a young man who seemed very different... He had a beard, and extremely curly hair, and walked with a strange limp... He was a satyr named Ethan and had been sent from Camp Half-Blood to Alaska to pick up Pyrrha, especially with the news of her being Apollo's priestess and a child of a god... No one knew what god she was the daughter of, but she explained everything to her parents, and immediately boarded a flight for Long Island. Upon her arrival at Camp, she was claimed within a day as a Child of Boreas and took up the mantle and responsibility of Head Priestess, as well as adjusting to the new life at Camp. Pyrrha is approaching the end of her first week at Camp Half-Blood, and seems to be adjusting very well.
