James: Being back at Camp felt a little bit weird for James, especially after being gone for a bit and forgot to bring a surfboard. The place hold so many memories so James was just sitting off towards the edge, waiting for Aria to show up, and not make him look like a lonely creep.
Aria: The head counselor of Astraeus had been held up by a cocoa spill in her cabin and was running late to the Valentine's dance. She'd never really been to a dance before and had invited one of her oldest friends, James, to attend with her. He was probably waiting for her right now, Aria realized with a twinge of embarrassment. Better not make the poor guy wait any longer. She briskly strolled to the Big House clad in her dance attire, a lilac dress and silver flats from her piano recital days, and peered onto the dance floor where she and James had agreed to meet. The crowd of people was surprisingly dense, and she didn't spot James at first.
James: James didn't spot Aria for a few seconds but he could instantly pick her out of the crowd. He slowly made his way through the people to Aria, trying to stay out of her sight the whole time, which was going pretty well
Aria: Aria contemplated climbing onto a chair and obnoxiously waving around a cluster of stars to get her date's attention, but knowing James, he would probably ignore her anyways. She might as well conserve the rest of her dignity and keep looking for him on the ground. Maybe he hadn't arrived yet? She continued searching, wandering off of the dance floor and towards the quieter food area.
James: He came up behind Aria and tapped her on the shoulder, hoping Aria would react the way he wanted her to
Aria: Caught by surprise, Aria reflexively activated an orbit around her and spun whatever was standing behind her to her front. Aria had started using this technique during combat training, as it was a way to protect her back, but now it was an instinct even outside of battle. In the process, she accidentally knocked over one of the plastic chairs at the food table and caught another one in her orbit. Apparently she'd caught a James too. "Oh, hi James! I was looking for you. Sorry about that," she said to her date, dropping him from orbit and discreetly using her gravity powers to place the chairs back. Some people were staring at the commotion, but Aria resolutely ignored them. "I haven't seen you since I asked you to the dance. How've you been, dude?"
James: Normally, James would of freaked out about floating but spending as much time in the ocean he had for the past few months, he had gotten use to floating without wanting to. He did get a little bit tipsy though from being spun around a little. "It's fine, I wanted you to do something like that," James said, with his normally causal nature showing. "Cousin stuff mostly, and a little bit of half-sibling problems."
Aria: Aria pulled out the two chairs she had messed up and gestured for James to sit down at the table with her. "Cousins and half-siblings, eh? I've been meaning to ask you James, just how big is your family? I know Bowen from my cabin, but I'm certain I've heard the name 'Spall' flying around camp for other people too."
James: "Way bigger than you think," James said as he sat down. "Ive got three cousins, one is a daughter of Theia and not around her, another is now a music nymph and she has a daughter and there's Bowen. My half-sister is something new though. Mum met a Titan long before she met my dad and was put up for adoption because mum wasn't ready."
Aria: "There must've been something about your family that the gods really liked," Aria joked, using her powers to float a tray of snacks and some plates over to their side of the table. "Even if it sounds chaotic, having a lot of family does seem pretty nice. I've only ever known my mom--my grandparents passed away before I was born, and I've never met my uncle, who lives in Norway. But here at Camp I've met plenty of my half-siblings, who usually don't cause me any problems, thank the gods," she laughed. "I hope you can sort out your family issues, though. Must be tough dealing with that on top of all this Camp business." Aria floated over one of the paper plates in front of James and tilted the snack tray towards him. "Cookies?" she offered.
James: "Well, we are descendants of Hecate so it could be that," James said as he grabbed a couple of biscuits and the plate and started eating one. "I love how you Americans call these cookies when back at home we only actual cookies cookies."
Aria: "I love how you Australians like to use your strange lingo in foreign countries without bothering to explain what anything actually means," Aria quipped back lightheartedly. "For real though, what's the difference between what we're eating and what you'd consider cookies? I know the definition of chips varies between America and many other English-speaking countries, but I haven't heard of it for cookies before."
James: "Those chocolate chip ones and different chocolate colours, we call cookies but we still call them what we call everything else, biscuits, and use the biscuit names. We kinda go with what England does with our own spin on it."
Aria: "Hmm, that's very English of you," Aria agreed, finishing up her own plate. She wiped off her mouth with a napkin and floated it over to the trash can. "Are you done with yours?" she asked James. "On a different note, I've never actually been at a dance before. Does everyone just shuffle around to deafening music on the dance floor? I'd be up for trying it, but that doesn't seem particularly fun to me, not gonna lie."
James: He ate another biscuit in a rather unattractive manner. "I'm done. I've never really been to a dance too. Couple of house parties back home but that's really it. If we were dating, yeah I would try it, but we're not so let's try to think of something that would be fun."
Aria: Amused, Aria floated over some napkins to her friend so that he could clean off the crumbs from his face. "I've also been meaning to ask you, James, what happened between you and Clementine? I was so proud of you when you finally got together, but I haven't seen either of you guys in quite a while." Aria fondly remembered the day when her two friends had finally sorted out their emotional constipation. She had just returned from planning a prank at a counselor meeting when she heard the news. Hmm. Now that she thought about it, it would be fun to plan a prank at the dance, if nothing else. "James, I just had a revelation," Aria declared. "Would you like to play a prank on these people at the dance, like old times?"
James: "She just disappeared of the face of the earth so I don't know me and her stand now," James said as he looked out towards all the people dancing, trying to think. "Would it be a bad thing if I said yes?"
Aria: "Oof. That's rough, buddy," Aria said sympathetically. "At least you had some happy times together, I guess." She joined James in looking around the building, seeing what possible pranks they could pull on short notice. "I think it would be a great thing if you said yes! Any ideas for what kind of stuff we can pull off?" she asked.
James: "We can rule out me turning into water and being in people's drinks, freaking them out, cause I so don't want to do that. Maybe we could spike the punch with something that isn't alcoholic but is just as horrible."
Aria: "Yeah, let's stay away from the whole 'getting other people to consume us' boat, that's a bit too weird," Aria agreed. "Hmm, if we're messing with the punch, that would probably fall on you, James, since you have more power over liquids than I do. What kind of stuff can you make with your powers? Ocean water? Rain water? As for me, I can probably do something with my plasma abilities to mess with the lighting in this place."
James: "Ive never tried to see what it could do. It would probably be salt water though. We could always combine what we can do and make something spectacular."
Aria: Aria leaned her chair back onto its two back legs and finger-gunned at James. She lightly used her gravity powers to keep herself balanced--the cheap plastic folding chair would probably have collapsed otherwise. "Salt water, brilliant and evil. Great plan! If you can manage to make the punch taste like salt water without smelling like the ocean, it'll be more of a surprise for everyone, too." She leaned back a bit further, looking upwards at the lighting. "I can send up some plasma flares and change up the light patterns on the dance floor. There are a few spots in the rafters where I can move them around. Now, if only we had someone else to help us create a distraction," Aria mused aloud.
James: "That won't be hard to do. Salt water smell is pretty easy to mask." James looked around at the people, trying to spot someone else he knew. "Is there anyone we know that would be willing to do it?"
Nin: "Damn it I'm late!" he says glancing at his wrist watch while running full speed toward the center of camp where the dance is being held. A brief glance at the cabins passing by shows a way easier path to the big house, and with a grunt he leaps skyward. His foot hits the wall of the cabin he jumped towards and he kicks off towards the cabin across the pathway. Nin gets up there and pauses, looking around before he locks onto the big house. "Hmm. It'd be hard not to find the dance from here." he chuckles before leaping again. Because he's already off the ground when he jumps he goes way higher than expected and realizes he won't land at the door like he wanted. A quick assessment of the situation leads to one conclusion and he internally sighs. Nin points his arm forward like super man and tucks his head into chest before shattering through the glass of the window and shoulder rolling into the camp dance. He executes the roll pretty decently and goes from the roll to standing with a kip-up. He adjusts his suit quickly and then walks over to the punch bowl to get a cup.
Aria: Aria paused the conversation and glanced over at the scene of the commotion. Was that a broken window? After being at Camp for nearly three years she hardly even batted an eye at shenanigans like that. But something stood out--the culprit was walking closer to the food area--wait, was that Nin?! Slowly Aria turned back to James. "I think we found our third man," she whispered, tilting her head in Nin's direction. The two of them were sitting close to the dance floor, out of eyeshot of most tables but with a good view of the punch bowl. "How do you want to greet our old friend?" she asked, a smile growing on her face.
James: He wasn't even paying attention to all the activity near the punch bowl. "I thought he was dead, no joke." James said when he looked over to where he figure Aria was looking. "Wanna mess with the gravity around him and me controlling his punch?"
Aria: "Sounds like a plan," Aria grinned, leaning back into her chair to get a better view of Nin's reaction. She gradually lessened the gravity beneath Nin's feet and, at the same time, slowly lifted the punch bowl off of the table. Plates, napkins, cups, and utensils floated off of the table and began spinning in circles around Aria's target. "This is going to be great! Your turn, James," she whispered, quietly but enthusiastically.
Nin: Nin is shocked by what's going on around him but he gets his wits about him soon enough, looking around the room for anyone paying him a bit too much attention. He notices a girl leaning back in her chair with a grin and guy next to her watching him rather closely as well. Even with gravity under him lessened he knows he has to get from where he's at to over there if he wants the antics to stop. Nin has to adjust his strength but thanks to his shoes he gets enough traction under his feet to hop but he does so with a ridiculous burst of speed, one he knows the jokers wouldn't be able to detect. With the decreased gravity he reaches the opposite side of the room before kicking off the wall and sliding to a stop into the seat behind the two. "Hi!" he says faux-brightly "Crazy punch amiright".
James: "Oh it's crazy, alright," James said, grinning like a madman, before controlling the high water concentration in the punch, making it go down Nin's back. "It does some crazy stuff to you if you disappear off the face off the earth without telling anyone."
Aria: Letting go of her gravity hold on the other objects, Aria spun around James' and her chair so that they were facing Nin, who had dashed behind them. "Have you forgotten us already, Nin?" she joked. "After all the times when I tried to stop you and James from punching other people to death, or when I tried to stop other people from punching all of us to death? Those times were as crazy as James' grin is right now," she said, gesturing at his facial expression. "What brings you back here, old friend?"
Nin: Nin feels his back drenched and bolts upright in his seat turning completely rigid before fixing the guy to his left with a glower that promised a slow and painful death. "I'll let that slide because of where we are. We're going to have a little talk at the practice fields after this though." he says before turning to the girl to his other side. "Um, a lot happened recently and because of that welll... my memories a bit foggy. I don't quite remember you both but.... you seem really familiar" he trails off.

Nata: I won't be able to start RPing on this until around Tuesday or Wednesday. In the meantime, feel free to make the first post, James. ALSO SORRY FOR DITCHING YOU NIN ;-;
Nata: Yo Nintendo if you want to join, now's the time! If Nin joins the prank group, he can help cast the room into total darkness so that James can set up his water and Aria can set up the lights, then later he can poke dancers on their shoulders using shadows and get them to turn their heads for nothing
Nin: Apologies for the late posting. Took a while to refind this RP. (Also my bad I've been M.I.A from chat) =
Nata: No worries Nintendo, glad you're back :) I'll wait for James to post and then I'll reply.
