[[|Amani Geoffrey]] ~ Dream's Angel
Ella 1

All of our dreams come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
Sitting under a tree, she takes out her notebook and coloured pencils and starts drawing. Lines, curves, circles. In different colours. This is good to remove her pissed off mood.
Character's Bio

 Age: 17  Height: 5'7  Weight: 117 lbs
 Sexuality: Straight  Relationship Status: Single
Birth Place: Toulouse, France  Main Weapon: CB whip and sword
Accent: American (with a hint of French)
 – If you ever feel alone, don't. You were never on your own.

Character's Powers

Powers of a Daughter of Morpheus

Offensive[]

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to create dream-like illusions of attacks so realistic that they are most likely to catch an enemy off guard; however, if they miss they are left vulnerable to counterattack.
  2. Children of Morpheus can absorb the dreams of others for a short time, removing their memories of them and empowering the user to be faster and stronger. Once the enhancement subsides, the target will remember their dreams if they wish to do so and are immune to further use of this power for a moderate time.

Defensive[]

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to make someone think they are seeing their worst nightmares brought to life for a short time; attempting to scare them into not attacking. The user cannot attack while they are using this power.
  2. Children of Morpheus have the ability to cause a person to day dream as if the child of Morpheus was a friend, causing the person to no longer desire to attack them for a short time. If the user attacks while the day dream is in effect, it will instantly stop working, so the power is purely defensive.

Passive[]

  1. Children of Morpheus often receive the current thoughts of people in the surrounding area while asleep. They can turn off this ability if they wish.
  2. Children of Morpheus heal faster while they are asleep and dreaming.
  3. Children of Morpheus are partially conscious while asleep, able to wake themselves up at will.

Supplementary[]

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to send a small wave of energy which will cause anyone affected to fall asleep and enter a vivid dream for a short time; after the effects have worn off, a person is immune to further effects of this for a moderate time. If the user wishes, the wave may just force the target into a vivid daydream for a short time. This will require less energy, but will have the same limitations.
  2. Children of Morpheus have the ability to look into people’s dreams as they sleep and even manipulate them as they wish.
  3. Children of Morpheus are able to astral project, they can use this for multiple reasons, however, their physical body is vulnerable and they can not effect anything on the physical plane while astral projecting.

3 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Morpheus can create dream-like illusions in order to twist other's perception of reality or make everyone around them see something that isn't really there. However, the illusion isn't physical and therefore is only a trick of sight. The bigger the change in perception, the more power drained. They can also confuse single individuals in the same fashion.

6 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to manifest a small shadowy creature to fight alongside them for a short time; the shadow takes the form of whatever a person’s worst nightmare is when they fight it, however, it is smaller in size if the thing from their nightmares is large. They can command the nightmare and can create up to 3 copies of it, it cannot be bigger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user and doesn’t wield any extraordinary abilities. Ex: the nightmare can fly if the target’s nightmare is something winged like a bird. But if it’s a dragon, it may not breathe fire.

9 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Morpheus are able to transform the surrounding area into their own dream-world, an alternate reality fabricated from the user’s dreams. The dream-world will take any appearance the user desires. Anyone within 30 meters of the user will be trapped within the dream world as well. Within it, the user can fly, teleport, are able to create psychic constructs and are immune to all attacks. They’re also aware of everything happening there. After a short time, the dream-world reverts to a normal environment and the user is left incredibly drained. The user will not be able to move and could possibly faint.

Traits[]

  1. Children of Morpheus are normally well adept at interpreting the dreams of others.
  2. Children of Morpheus often tend to be daydreamers, with their heads always in the “clouds”.
  3. Children of Morpheus typically love dreaming, able to master the concept of “lucid dreaming” at a young age.
  4. Children of Morpheus sometimes accidentally enter other people’s dreams when sleeping.

Amani: She draws a wrong line, its colour deep. "Oh, mauvaise ligne!" she mutters to herself and erases the line. Drawing another one, she now does perfect, and continues on the other side. "Si vous étiez seul ici, Maman," she says to herself sadly in her native tongue.

OOC: a. Wrong line b. If you were only here, Mom.

Derek: He smiles at her knowledge of French having picked up some French from the Aphrodite kids and the others who speak it as he continues to watch

Amani: She finally finishes her drawing. Another design of clothes, a gown and a suit. These would be good for balls, she thinks. Sighing happily, she stands up, dropping the notebook and pencils, and stretches her arms as high as she can, feeling the breeze greet her face.

Derek: He manipulates the wind to give her a nice refreshing gust as he begins to relax in the tree

Amani: She thinks the winds got stronger, but she doesn't mind. She leans down to take her notebook and pencils, then directly looks up above her to see the leaves sway with the breeze. Yes, she sees the leaves, but there is a guy relaxing on tree branch far from her reach. "Who's that?" she asks herself, curious. "Hello?" she yells, which she lately realizes is a mistake to wake him up.

Derek: He looks down from the branch waves and floats down to ground level "Hey" he says

Amani: She squints her eyes to see him clearly. "Uh, sorry for disturbing you. Have you been there for long?" she asks, still curious about things, and about new people.

Derek: "No disturbance at all I have been there for a few minutes" he replies "I sent the wind to refresh you"

Amani: Oh, so that's why... "Um, thanks! Are you a child of Zeus, or some wind god? Sorry, I don't know much of 'em."

Derek: "Son and Counsellor of Aeolus at your service my lady" he says with a bow and a boyish grin

Amani: "Oh, nice to meet you, then." Her mood lightens up a bit, at least, knowing someone who doesn't piss her off. She walks further away to catch the scenery in front of her, she thinking to draw it down.

Derek: "Himself a good drawer as he had learned the trade over the years manipulates the wind to pick up her drawing pad and pencil and draw a portrait of her likeness with surrounding scenery

Amani: After a few seconds of gazing at the scenery, she sighs—a sign she's ready for some arts, and walks back to her notebook. She takes a second glance back for more seconds, then continues inching to her things. She rubbed her hands together, and finds nothing in the spot where she left them. "Where in the world is my..." She starts searching.

Derek: He smiles and has the pen and pencil levitate in front of her with his drawing of her on display

Amani: Her notebook literally appears in front of her, its displaying page showing a sketch of the scenery she just examined...and her looking at it. It is beautiful. She takes the notebook and pencil from the air and looks up at the guy. "You did this?"

Derek: He levitates in the air and nods

Amani: She stares at him as he levitates in the air. "Oh my goodness. It's wonderful! Are you an artist? A painter? Where do you live? What's your name?" A lot of questions suddenly pops out her head and out her mouth, excited.

Derek: He chuckles "Well I learned it here over the years I live here and my name is Derek"

Amani: "You're amazing! A pleasure to meet you, Derek," she smiles, examining his drawing again and again, searching and learning every line he has drawn.

Derek: He smiles "Ravi de vous rencontrer trop" (pleasure to meet you too) he says

Amani: "You speak French, too?" She's so excited. "C'est tellement génia. (This is so awesome)."

Derek: He smiles and makes another drawing of the sunset off in the distance

Amani: She watches his hand move as he draws another image on her paper and she tilts her head. "You really love drawing, do you? I'm Amani, by the way. Just new."

Derek: "That sculpting, flying, training all that sort of stuff and it's a pleasure to meet you" he says with a smile

Amani: "Magnifique(beautiful)," she muses. "It's nice to meet a person who doesn't piss you off. I'm so thankful I chose to sit here."

Derek: He smiled "Thank you"

Amani: Well, what should I say now? she thought. She clasps her hands together and waits for his finished artwork. "So...how's life?" What a dumb way to start a conversation.

Derek: "Pretty good and yourself?" he asks as he finishes the piece

Amani: "Fine. Crazy," she shrugs. "And stupid."

Derek: "Stupid?" he ask with a raised eyebrow

Amani: "Well, my life's complicated before I knew about all of these thing. I call it stupid," she replies shrugging.

Derek: "I see my life is also quite complicated" he says in response

Amani: "I think all of our lives are complicated," she says matter-of-factly. She smiles and peeks on the drawing. "Maybe the drawing is getting complicated, too...?"

Derek: "Eh a little" he says as he finishes filling in all the details

Amani: She chuckles lightly. "Do you have other drawings? A sketch pad, maybe?" she asks curiously.

Derek: "No I have never been able to get a hold of one" he says as he looks around at the scenery

Amani: She looks at him perplexed. "So, where do you draw? You're so good at it," she shrugs, rubbing her arms.

Derek: "At the Art Building" he replies

Amani: "Um..okay. Sounds cool," she says. "You're not talkative, are you? I'm sorry if I disturb you so much. Maybe I'm already annoying."

Derek: He laughs "No no that's just how I am when I am tired" he says

Amani: "Tired? Well then I'm really disturbing you! You probably need rest. Obtenez une sieste (Get a nap)," she says.

Derek: He smiles and laughs "Nonsense you are cool" he says before picking her up and flying to a firm and sturdy branch setting her down before leaning against the trunk and relaxing

Amani: "Gods of Olympus," she mutters, queasy on the branch. She tries to smile over the height. "Sorry, not used much to heights, even just on low trees." She moves a little to try make herself a little comfortable on the branch. "You really are surprising, Mr. Derek," she says, looking down.

Derek: He smiles "I like to keep life interesting" he says as he continues to relax

Amani: "Interesting. What for? People can make their own lives interesting, anyway,' she says.

Derek: "Yeah they can but making other people's life interesting is also good you know" he says

Amani: She nods, pulling her lips in a tight line. "I take it you're a person who has a lot of friends, yes?"

Derek: "Some I don't get out all that much I have to lead the cabin. Personally I am thinking of stepping down into the lieutenant spot so that I can have some more free time

Amani: "Oh..." She thinks about her time in India, the horrible days. She then pushes the memory away. "Doesn't the lieutenant do something?" she stupidly asks.

Derek: "Yes but not as much as his senior" he replies

Amani: She frowns. "I thought being a councilor's great," she mutters. "Changed my mind."

Derek: He leans up pushing the hair back from his face before chuckling "Oh its great you get a bigger room in the cabin, you get to modify your schedule, your not as policed as the other campers among other things but as they say with rights comes responsibilities" he says as he sticks his hand into the hole in the tree trunk feeling for his football

Amani: "Still, it's responsibility." Shen notices Derek putting his arm in a hole in the tree, like grasping for something. "What are you doing?"

Derek: He finally feels the ball and grabs it pulling it out "Was wondering if you would like to play a little catch or something you know to stretch our bones" he says with a laugh as he holds the ball out proudly

Amani: She lightens up when she saw the football in his hands. She loves playing with her friends back in France. "Oh, wow. Sure! I'd love to!" she replies, clasping her hands happily.

Derek: He held the ball in front of him called an audible and dropped back looking left than right before throwing a strike right at her

Amani: The heck. Instinctively, she moves aside. Bad news, she lost her balance and fall off the tree. She landed on her feet but no such equilibrium she stumbles on the ground. Dang it. "Great throw, Derek!"

Derek: He jumps down to her and holds her head "Are you alright" he asks cradling it with a hint of worry in his voice as he looks around if any medics are nearby his head going blossoming with questions Does she have a concussion did she injure her foot

Amani: "I'm okay, I'm okay," she says, taking comfort in Derek's arms. She tries to sit, and her side groans in protest. "Ow," she mutters, rubbing it. "No worries, Derek, no worries."

Derek: His head begins to run through his training as he examines her body before touching the side that she contorted when trying to get up "Does this hurt?" he asks as he pokes and prods at it attempting to identify th injury

Amani: "Hey, stop that!" She is supposed to be hurt—well, she is hurt—but she tries to laugh. She tries to sit down again, this time lesser pain. "Your fault," she teases, touching her side.

Derek: He laughs before poking her side then her cheek sticking his tongue out playfully as he got up and offered her his hand "Ready to try that again?" he asks

Amani: "Oh, whatever," she says, taking Derek's hand and standing up. She feels a pulse of pain, but it goes away the second it appeared. She presses her hands in her back and arches it. "Oww...now that feels better." She looks at Derek. "Ready as I'll ever be."

Derek: He smiles "Alright if you say so" he says with a laugh as he drops back and this time throws a high soft pass that would be easier to handle

Amani: She retreats a little and tiptoes to catch the ball. "What kind of game are we playing? Coz I prefer tennis. You?" she asks, chest passing the ball back to Derek.

Derek: "I grew up around football" he says before catching the ball with one hand "but I know how to play tennis only problem is we don't have a court" he says gesturing to the forest and camp "Not exactly the prime definition of recreation facility" he says with a laugh

Amani: "I still prefer tennis. I know there's a court here somewhere," she says, looking around as if a court would appear in front of her.

Derek: He leans against the tree with a smirk waiting for her to realize that indeed he was right while tossing the football up and down in front of him

Amani: She clenches her jaw in frustration. "No court," she mutters. She looks at Derek, rubbing her hands. "Fine, football then. I don't do football, so I don't know how," she nags, more to herself.

Derek: "That's alright we can just play catch we don't have enough for two full teams anyway" he says as he throws the ball her way

Amani: "You've got a point there," she says as she moves sideways to catch the ball. "Anyway, I'm not in the mood for a real match." She throws the ball back when a brezze rushes at them.

Derek: The breeze pushes the ball further back causing him to jump and at full extension make a one handed grab before falling to the ground

Amani: "Oh my gods," she shouts, frozen on spot. "Are you okay? I'm sorry!" she shouts over the wind. Now he gets to fall.

Derek: He uses the winds to make him levitate above the ground "Yeah I am good" he says as he throws the ball back to her and rushes to make the open space tackle

Amani: Her focus is on the ball. She catches it, feeling another surge of happiness when she caught it, but doesn't realize Derek rushing at her. Uh oh...

Derek: He wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her down twisting his body so that she lands on him when they hit the ground

Amani: She closes her eyes as they fall simultaneously. She thought that it'll be a hard fall, but instead feels nothing bad. She opens her eyes, and sees Derek's face. She just smiles after a few seconds and slaps him on the chest. "What were you thinking?" she asks giggling.

Derek: "Well it is football so there is tackling but I didn't want the lady here to get hurt so I twisted so she would land on me instead" he says proudly

Amani: "Oh, whatever." She rolls onto the left side and falls flat on her back on the grass. "Lying on the grass is great," she murmurs as she stretches her hands above her head, the clouds soaring overhead against the sky.

Derek: He turns on his side and looks at her "It is" he says as he looks at her then looks up

Amani: She turns to her side to face Derek, her face resting on her arms. "Got any some rest for maybe a whole day?" she asks.

Derek: "We could just rest here" he says with a smile

Amani: "Good idea," she says. She closes her eyes and breathes in the air deeply and relaxed.

Derek: He props himself up and rubs her arms as she rests

Amani: She gets a bit surprised inside when he touches her, but doesn't make another move and continues to nap through on the grass. She murmurs something and goes silent again.

Derek: He pats her again to make her feel more comfortable before propping himself up and looking out for monsters that could be lurking in the forest

Amani: And she did feel comfortable, like her mom is the one trying to put her to sleep. But then seconds after she closed her eyes, a strange short dream comes to her, surprising her and waking her up aghast.

Derek: He is startled and looks down at her with wide eyes "Are you okay what happened?"

Amani: She catches her breath, her heart beat thankfully slowing. She holds up a hand. "I'm fine, I'm fine. Just some stupid dream or something."

Derek: "What about? If I may" he asks curious

Amani: "Well," she starts, unsure of what to say, "I-I just saw something. It's like... there was a man, a-and he was holding a girl in one arm and a dagger in the other hand. And then he..." She covers her face and bows. "Never mind. It's stupid. I always get things like that," she admits.

Derek: "Interesting hopefully they aren't some sort of look into the future" he says before relaxing himself again and lying back down

Amani: She looks at him with a scowl. "Future? Really? I'm not one of the Fates," she says before lying back down, too, on the grass. "It's just that every time I close my eyes or try to take even just a nap, I tend to see people's thoughts in my mind."

Derek: "Do you ever know whose thoughts you are looking at?" he asks as he begins to tech mental notes of the phenomena

Amani: "Nope," she shakes. "I may know if ever I saw someone in there familiar, or...ugh, I don't know." She covers her face with her hands and slides them down. "Sometimes it feels creepy already."

Derek: He embraces her playfully "Well you don't have to worry about that here in our forest oasis" he says with a smile

Amani: She giggles lightly. "Wow, thanks," she says as she buries her head in Derek's chest.

Derek: A barely perceptible moan escapes as he lies there with her and hugs her tightly

Amani: "Can I not sleep?" she mutters. "I don't want taking any thoughts or dreams again," she sighed, "'cause most of the mare things I don't like to see."

Derek: "Oh you can sleep in my arms it feels great" he says with a smile

Amani: She smiles happily. "Thanks, Derek...you're just so nice," she says, lying down near him, trying to feel comfortable and not anxious on all things.

Derek: He puts his arm around her and pulls her a bit closer "Comfortable?" he asks

Amani: "Yeah, I am." Unknowingly she closes her eyes. "Thanks."

Derek: He holds onto her and lets her sleep on him

Amani: For the first time in the week no stupid dream or vision comes to her. She doesn't care what time she'll wake up, or what—all that's important is that she's all fine and probably nothing won't harm her, nor Derek.

Derek: He eventually falls asleep in her hair tired after the long day

Amani: After a dreamless sleep, she wakes up, and the first thing she sees in Derek's serene face. She wants to wake him up, but just stays put and stares at him.

Derek: He mumbles about carrots and then buries his head deeper in her arm sleeping

Amani: Carrots? She giggles lightly, and tucks away some stray hair from his forehead. "Thanks for a once a great day," she whispers.

Derek: He soon wakes up and lies there lazily thinking about carrots

Amani: "Morning, sleepyhead," she greets when he wakes up. "Carrots, eh?"

Derek: He looks at her oddly "I am not sure why I am thinking about carrots right now" he says shaking his head "but good morning" he says as he slowly and slightly nervously presses them together

Amani: "Maybe you're obsessed?" she guesses, pinching his nose. "Honestly, you're like a cute little kid when you did it."

Derek: He laughs "When I did what?" he asks "I would like to think I am not obsessed with food"

Amani: She laughs. "When you muttered about carrots! I'm obsessed with food," she says.

Derek: "I did? Not sure why I was having dreams about vast quantities of carrots" he said burrowing into her arm and neck groaning some

Amani: She pushes Derek's head away from her. "Stop it! No tickling," she says, then gasps, realizing that she shouldn't have said that she gets tickled easily in her arm.

Derek: He burrows into her arm "Its comfortable in there though" he replies whining

Amani: "Well, I don't want you to!" She tries to move herself away, laughing and annoyed a bit at the same time, which is pretty stupid to her.

Derek: "Fine" he withdraws and lies on the grass a little way away from her
