Abevieve[]

  • Abbie: Abbie was sitting on the grass in one of Camp's fields, eyes closed and feeling the breeze brush against her softly. She breathed in the fresh air deeply, being the most relaxed she'd been in a long time. She realised hw much she missed Camp, but it was still overwhelming coming back, with new faces and new places. She tilted her head back as she straightened her legs out, letting the sun warm up her face.
  • Genevieve: Genevieve was jogging through the extensive grass fields that are found at camp. She too has missed camp a lot, since she had only come to camp during the summer. Now, she was a full-time camper, which is exciting to her. She was curious about the new people she would meet and the new places to discover. She suddenly saw a girl, who was quite relaxed feeling the air and the sun. She smiled at her. She didn’t want to interrupt her meditation, so she waited for her to open her eyes.
  • Abbie: With her head still hanging back, she opened her eyes slowly and squinted slightly at the sudden amount of light entering her pupils. On spotting the girl looking and smiling in her direction, she lifted her head back up and turned her shoulders to look at her properly. Returning her smile with a bright grin, Abbie shifted her weight onto on arm and raised her other to give the girl a wave.
  • Genevieve: She looked at the other girl when she opened her eyes. She noticed the light might as well have hurt her a bit. She hoped the girl was alright. Wow. Genevieve was quite impressed by how the girl was able to lift herself up with a single arm, as she wasn’t able to do it herself. She waved back at the girl, thinking she wasn’t as fit as her.
  • Abbie: At the other girls' wave back, Abbie shifted into a side sitting position, bending her legs from in from to her to underneath and to the side of her, the position making it easier to turn her whole body to face the other girl. Keeping the hand that kept her body upright on the grass and lifting the one she used to wave with to the side of her mouth, she called out, "Hey! Wanna come sit?"
  • Genevieve: Genevieve looked at the other girls’ movements. She hoped she could learn something from her, especially since it could be really useful, both in her “mortal” life and for her demigod training. She was surprised by the other girl’s call, and she agreed. “Of course!”, she walked towards her and sat down beside her.
  • Abbie: Upon the girl coming to sit next to her, Abbie returned to sitting crossed legged on the grass, leaning back on both hands again. "I'm Abbie, nice to meet you." She reached out her hand with a kind smile, hoping for a handshake. "Are you new around here?"
  • Genevieve: Genevieve imitated Abbie’s position. “My name’s Genevieve, nice to mee you too”, she smiled. She reached out her smile and shake Abbie’s, smiling back at her. “Well, I’m kind of new. I just came back after a year of not being around.”
  • Abbie: Retracting her hand and placing both in her lap, sitting more upright, Abbie nodded at Genevieve. "Oh, you're in the same boat as me! I haven't been here for, like, 6 years. Everything's changed now and there are so many new people, it's pretty much like being new, right?"
  • Genevieve: “It sure is!”, she responded. “There’s so many things that changed since last time I’ve been here, so many new places that I’ve yet to visit”, she explained. She also changed her position, pretty much imitating Abbie’s.
  • Abbie: Abbie gasped knowingly in response. "Yes! I can't believe they built a whole new town!" Turning her head to look ahead of them, admiring the view, Abbie felt her heart squeeze. "They really did it up from before." Turning her head to look back at Genevieve curiously, she asked, "Where are you from, Genevieve? Can I call you Gen? Genny? Do you like shortened nicknames? You can totally tell me to shut up if you don't."
  • Genevieve: “I know! Right?”, she said regarding the building of New Athens. Hi be honest, she was curious about it. Genevieve turned her head in curiosity, she wanted to know what Abbie was looking at. She saw the beautiful landscapes and smiled. “Definitely.” She looked back at Abbie as she asked her question. “I’m from Florida. What about you?”, she asked have. “Or course I like shortened nicknames. You can call me Genny”, she smiled. The usage of nicknames signified the trust between the two girls.
  • Abbie: "Genny is cute; I like Genny." Abbie raised her eyebrows, impressed. "I've never been to Florida; how do you like it? Hm, well, I was born in DC, moved to England when I was 3, and then moved to New York when I was 10." She paused, knitting her eyebrows. "But then I moved to Camp after 4 years, and I only stayed here for 3 and a half, and then I..." She trailed off awkwardly, rubbing a hand on the back of her head. "Sorry, I talk a lot. Heh."
  • Genny: “Thanks!”, she smiled. She listened carefully to her friend’s rambling. “Well, Florida is amazing!”, she explained. “The climate, the beaches...”, she kept listening to Abbie as she explained how much she had moved in her life. “No, you certainly don’t talk that much”, she tried to make it less awkward. “I actually talk just as much or even more”, she said with a smile.
  • Abbie: Abbie sighed happily, thinking about how it would be to live near the beach. "I'm so jealous. England is almost always too cold and New York... well, yeah." She drew her eyebrows together, making a face. "I don't know how I'd feel in the summer in Florida, though. I'd probably melt." She chuckled. "Thanks, it's okay. I know I do. I guess we're two peas in a pod then!"
  • Genny: Genny smiled, she loved living by the beach, and now, she’s at Camp, which conveniently had a beach. “I know, right?”, she answers. She had heard about England’s climate, and has experienced New York’s. She then considered the climate in Florida. “You probably would”, she referred to her comment about melting on a Florida summer. She smiled. “We definitely are”, she said. “We’ll be great friends, I just know.”
  • Abbie: "Though, to be honest, I'm not that fond of the ocean, probably because I've never been around it so much. Who knows what's crawling down there, you know?" Abbie scrunched up her nose and feigned a shiver going through her body. "Yeah, that humidity..." She squinted her eyes and thought for a moment, before shaking her head. "Around this latitude is best for me, I think." She gave Genny a bright grin, and replied, "For sure!"
  • Genny: She didn’t know her friend didn’t like the ocean so much, given that she’s used to it like not many people, as she practically grew up with it. “Oh, I know who’s able to know!”, she exclaimed. “Sea nymphs!” That probably didn’t help. Was Abbie afraid of the ocean or something? Maybe Genny just screwed up. “Well, I’m glad you found the best place for you”, she said, not knowing how to react. She just hoped their different points of view didn’t affect their friendship.
  • OOC (Emi): Sorry my reply took so long.
  • Abbie: Abbie chuckled lightly at Genny's attempt to try and relieve her fear. "Oh yeah, sea nymphs are not bad. It's more like, you know, sharks and stuff that no one knows is down there." She shrugged it off without much bother. "At least I knew I wasn't a sea god kid, right?" She grinned widely at her companion and lightly bumped her shoulder with hers.
  • OOC (Elfie): Me too, sorry!! >.<
