Beau and Kalena: Christmas Edition[]

  • Kalena: Being honest, Kalena has never been this excited about Christmas. She has no religious reason to celebrate the holiday itself — she's no Christian, obviously — but the natural jolliness that comes with the season, added onto how it has the habit of bringing out the best in people, has her completely enamoured with 'the most wonderful time of year'. Not to mention the presents. Speaking of! Her gift for Beau was just delivered through Hermes Overnight Express, and she cannot wait to give it to him. She'd anticipated this, of course, and had consequently ordered another gift for him to actually leave under the Christmas tree she'd set up and decorated near the front door of the cabin. It was nothing extraordinary, just fuzzy socks, a hoodie and a pair of boxers that had Ryder's face stamped on the back with plenty of mini Ryders on the front as a joke. The real gift was what had just arrived. She was so excited, in fact, that she was on the hunt for said brother. It should be a testament to her elation, considering it's 26 degrees, snowing, and she can barely see three feet ahead of her. Presently, she's waddling towards Ares' Cabin, the only place she could think him to be, silently praying to Hestia he's there. If he isn't and she has to answer to one of Ryder's more intimidating siblings on her own, Kalena will never let her brother get laid again. "Swear to the Gods," she mutters, huffing and puffing as she makes the journey through the rocky terrain that makes up the trail towards the Olympians' cabins. She squeezes the material lining the insides of her thick coat's pockets, wanting to warm up her frozen digits as best as she can while she searches for Beau. She has a good three layers of clothes on, and it's not enough. Dang. "Why did Alexander let it snow in here?" she complains to herself, whining softly. She's gonna drive a fucking knife through that automaton's legs. Annoying robot.
  • Beau: While similar to Kal not having a religious tie to the holiday itself, Beau was always fascinated by Christmas itself. One of his favourite traditions of the cold season was the beautiful twinkling lights atop houses and fences outside people's houses. He was so fascinated by it that he led the charge at a head counsellor meeting to have all the cabins decorated with lights. Having been helping his husband with Christmas traditions of his own, Beau was just about to head out of the Ares' cabin. Having said his regular goodbyes to Ryder, Beau had bundled up before opening the door to exit the cabin. As he was leaving is when he almost ran into Kal. Stopping just before bumping into his younger half-sister. "Kal," he started, making sure to have his footing on the ice covered porch. "Did you miss me that much that you came looking for me here?"
