Olliver & Valencia[]

  • Ollie: In hindsight, strolling into camp as a lion after rush-changing was a mistake. He recognized that now. But it doesn't mean he realized as much back then. Sure, evading monsters was a big must-do, but he'd also gone and ripped his shirt. "Nice going, Olliver," he mutters to himself, now that he's no longer in his animal form, and shakes his head. He's gonna have to go get a new one down at the Sanctuary. Great.
  • Valencia: Valencia, still being new to Camp, walked around cautiously. She wanted to explore, get to know her new home, but she also knew how closely looked at she was. Simply exploring could, and would, be deemed as suspicious much to her dismay. As she walked, she'd been looking down at an old necklace her ex-boyfriend had given to her before he'd gone crazy and ruined her life, not that she was dramatic. She'd look up now and then to make sure she wouldn't bump into anyone though it didn't stop her from nearly walking into Olliver and being surprised to see a shirtless man in her way."Ahh!" She yelped in surprise as she instinctively clutched the necklace to her chest, offering him an extremely awkward smile, "Oh my god I'm so sorry for nearly walking into you..."
  • Ollie: He'd leapt back the moment he'd heard the scream. It's not exactly his proudest moment, but he also hadn't anticipated coming across anyone else, let alone someone who walked so quietly and screamed so loudly. He runs a hand over his stubble and offers a similarly awkward smile. "It's quite alright," he dismisses her apologies, shaking his head. "You didn't do anything, you're alright," he assures her. Now that things died down just a little, he takes the moment to appreciate how beautiful she truly is. He's sure she's new around here - he's sure he'd otherwise recognize that face. She was stunning.

2Val Plot[]

  • Valencia: Valencia stood not too far from The Spire but far enough where she felt free, albeit she knew she wasn't. She looked back at it and sighed a few times. She hadn't chosen this life and she knew that a lot of people, especially those in the Council, knew that. She was her deceased boyfriend's girlfriend, that's it. That's all she ever would be if she didn't escape. She had corresponded with someone in The Spire who had expressed a similar desire and the two had decided to meet in the designated spot where she stood. She waited, anxious to see if the person was genuine or trying to dog her in.
  • Valentina: "Are you alright, love?" An English accent reverberates in the edge of the clearing, the leaves and lighter branches of the trees rustling slightly. Valentina appears moments after, emerging from an opening between two trees. Briefly, she wonders if this isn't the person she'd agreed to meet in person so much as a Champion intending to weed out traitors. But then - then that thought disappears. She vaguely recognizes this woman as the one always looking out of place in The Spire. As all her worries dissipated, Valentina cautiously approaches her. She observes her stance for a fleeting moment; she looks nervous, anxious. She kind of reminds Valentina of how she used to be at the start, before she realized this was a destroy or be destroyed kind of situation.
  • Valencia: Valencia almost jumped at the sound of another voice. She didn't mean to be as anxious as she was - she just knew she was high up enough in the Champions that the Councilmen could be brutal if they decided to torture her, or worse. Seeing someone emerge from the trees, she wondered if it was the right person but the way they approached her confirmed to her that they were indeed the right person. Valencia vaguely recognised the other - she was with Kiran a lot. That didn't mean much though; she herself was with Kingston or Edison a lot. She nodded, standing taller and perhaps more confidently than she had done before. Any worries were dissipating fast. "Perfectly fine," She responded, much like a Councilmen would - attesting to how high up she was in the Champions. "Are you the other end of the correspondence?"
  • Valentina: Valentina watches as the other woman stands taller and prouder, a lot like the councilmen of the Champions do. She takes slow and small steps, but she doesn't seem any more insecure or distrustful than Valencia does. At the question, Valentina nods. It thwarts any lingering doubts. She slips her hands into her back pockets, but her posture is still very much so tense. She half expects to be caught out here with someone who is likely already under suspicion of treason. "I'm Valentina," she says shortly. "...daughter of Nyx."
  • Valencia: Valencia observed Valentina's body language and quickly came to the deduction that she was just as nervous as she was and that, ultimately, if she was being sent to trick her there'd be no way she would be this good at acting timid. Valentina couldn't help but widen her eyes at the revelation - a thing she thought was false in their letters. "Nyx? As in, the goddess?" She had to blink once, twice, to get over it before nodding. "Valencia. Daughter of Leto."
  • Valentina: She smiles sardonically. "No, as in the pineapple," Sarcasm drips off every syllable, accompanied by an eyeroll. She pauses. Recognizing she's unnecessarily making it more difficult, she sighs and shakes her head. "Sorry. Its a mood. But yes, as in the goddess," she pauses. "I'm sure with that alone you can understand why I can't stay here any longer."
  • Valencia: "Perhaps if it is a pineapple, maybe they'll let you live longer when they catch you," Valencia replied bitterly, her soft eyes turning piercing, "Better drop the mood when we get to Camp, they won't let you in otherwise." Her gaze softens again before she nods, "They have more of a reason to kill you than they do me, so I can see the desire to leave, yes." She tilted her head a little, "But what about Kiran? Aren't you close to her?"
  • Valentina: This was a bad idea. Unfortunately, Valencia knows too much by now, bringing her options down to just one: leave with Valencia. She has half a mind to retaliate, but the blonde has a point, and that goes without mentioning that arguing will get them nowhere. "Not by choice," she answers. "I joined because otherwise, Kiran would have revealed things of my past," she pauses. "She believes I'm a daughter of Astraeus, not a daughter of Nyx, else I would have long since died."

di Ambrosia daddies[]

  • Valentina: In hindsight, it wasn't a good idea to come to the neighboring town when the Greek world equivalent of a terrorist group is about to put into play one of their plans against Camp Half-Blood. A plan that will very likely kick-start a war. But on the other hand, not meeting with Lothario might raise some red flags or cause some curiosity in him, to try and locate her. Plus she put together a cute outfit and she didn't want to make it go to waste, but that's a whole other matter. Seeing Lothario, Valentina strides towards him, a drink already in hand. "And here I was, thinking I'd never get earlier than you to a place brimming to its edges with alcohol," she says, with something akin to a smirk on her face.
  • Lothario: Lothario rolled his eyes as he unzipped his coat a little - the drastic change from bitter coldness to the warmth of the club, "And here I was thinking you might respect your elders for once in your life." He still smiled all the same and shook his head a little bit, "I'm sorry I'm late - me and the other kids of Pandia held a conspiracy theory of what might be stalking us at Camp." He shrugged, unaware that Valentina would know what he was on about, "But we couldn't come up with anything interesting."
  • Valentina: Valentina finds it in herself to crack a smirk - broad and very much so amused; it's reminiscent of her time as a kid, when all she'd do was tease Lothario and make remarks about his inability to attract any girls. Even though she remembers when they were kids as though it were yesterday, it feels like it was a lifetime ago. God, how did they get so old so fast, with such a fucked up life? "What is it with you old people? All about respect these days. Such a mundane thing to worry over," she remarks, tutting and shaking her head. She tilts her head back as she finishes her drink, and puts down the glass on the table a little rougher than she originally anticipated. The remark on his cabin's conspiracy theory threw her for a loop for a moment, but she recovered remarkably fast. "Maybe a new kind of monster?" she suggests.
  • Lothario: Lothario shrugged, "Isn't respect major in the Greek world? I thought you'd know that or something." He laughed a little, clearly hinting at the joke he made. He shook his head, "We thought of that, originally but then we decided that it's not a reasonable possibility. If there was a new kind of monster, surely it'd be recorded somewhere in the myths and the behaviour displayed is more... humanesque. We think it's perhaps the Broken Covenant again, based on the tales of Camp before mom's time as a cabin goddess, but I don't know." He was silent for a few seconds before nodding at her, "Anyway, what's new with you?"
  • Valentina: It's difficult to keep up this charade, but for someone who is so far in, it's impossible not to. She lifts a hand, beckoning the bartender over and asking for another drink. "It wouldn't necessarily be in the myths. Not if it's a new kind of monster. But if the behavior is as humanesque - not a real word, but I'll play along - as you say, then it could be the Covenant," For a fleeting moment, she's tempted to prompt the idea that maybe it could be someone - something - else. "Nothing new. My life isn't exactly the most eventful," she points out, with a chuckle. She accepts the drink as offered to her by the bartender.
  • Lothario: Lothario shrugged, "I mean, I doubt any new monster would be undetected - someone would know something and nobody does. Some people think it's just paranoia that the BC has left us alone for a while." He listened to her and shook his head. "If it was the Covenant I'm sure there'd be some guesses in that way. One of the Mnem kids said it could be a new faction but some in Themis' cabin say it's unlikely." He sighed, "I don't know anymore but I hope it is a rouse - there's talks of a curfew being placed on us until further notice." He paused, listening to her again before smiling, "So, basically, you're boring?"
  • Valentina: Valentina listens intently. She can't help but roll her eyes at the closing statement, and in retaliation sticks her tongue out at her brother. "Yes, well, I learned only from the best," she retorts, but it's a weak argument and she thinks they can both agree on that. In a matter of seconds, the drink that had been brought over to her just now disappears.
