Theo Green ~ Son of Ariadne

"Passion is a narcotic. Too little, and your life can be quite painful. Too much, and it will take over your life."
Character's Bio

 Age: 16  Height: 6'1"  Weight: 160
 Sexuality: Gay  Relationship Status: Single
Main Weapon: Two dual swords disguised as a pin
 Accent: New York
 – "If only life was like a maze, where if you mess up, you can turn back around. But It's not. So It's a good thing I don't mess up."

Character's Powers

 3/6/9 month powers unlocked

  1. Children of Ariadne have the ability to cause someone to believe that they are trapped inside a labyrinth, disrupting their senses into seeing anything else for a short time. While under its effect, they become more vulnerable to attacks.
  2. Children of Ariadne, while a labyrinth is summoned, have the ability to create 1 to 3 lesser monsters (those classified as “easy” in the Monster Encyclopedia) nearby them within it; these monsters, however, will not be controlled and will attack anyone they see.

  1. Children of Ariadne have the ability to create a large portion of a labyrinth wall to protect themselves until it corrodes after a short time. The walls can be created at all directions to create an absolute defense, but drains more energy from the user. Conversely, this can be used to imprison enemies.
  2. Children of Ariadne can cause a person to feel/be lost, as if they don’t know how to reach their desired destination and wander off aimlessly which may induce distress, confusion and loss of concentration, for a short time. The effect can be used on a larger number of people, but drains more energy.

  1. Children of Ariadne have the innate ability to find their way through/around any sort of puzzle, maze or obstacle without any aid, as if they have a psychic compass within them. They are also able to perceive any kind of hidden obstruction, trap or dead-end within a 10 meter radius around them.
  2. Children of Ariadne have the innate ability to see in multiple directions at once, allowing their senses of sight to become more finely attuned to their surroundings.

  1. Children of Ariadne have the ability to create a real labyrinth which traps anyone inside it for a short time. The user has total control over the creation, such as altering and closing its walls or even expand the maze at any time. However, a larger maze will consume more energy from the user. The maze has a roof over it and cannot be teleported out of.
  2. Children of Ariadne can conjure a very durable wool string that can be used to navigate around a place, mislead or ensnare victims, bind or strangle enemies, hold or suspense things firmly, weave fine cloth or in any way possible. The longer the string, the more energy it drains. The string can also be conjured from the ground or from any surface.
  3. Children of Ariadne can increase or decrease a person's passions, whether the purpose is to weaken one’s will to fight, or to motivate them to do a certain hobby or to love, etc. The longer this state is maintained, the more energy is drained from the user.
  4. Children of Ariadne are able to teleport themselves through the mazes they created. The further the distance traveled, the more energy drained.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Ariadne have the ability to construct paths out of materials found around them that they can use to take them anywhere (up into the air, over trees, etc.) but as they move along the path, the path behind them slowly corrodes. The longer they use the energy required to make a path, the more they are drained.

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Ariadne have the ability to enchant a localized location into becoming an illogical, yet illusory, maze which traps anyone inside it. With this ability, the user can cause a building’s passageways to lead somewhere else such as an upstairs flight lead to the basement, a closet room lead to the rooftop, lead a door back to itself, and so on and so forth. The larger the area of effect and the longer it is held, the more it drains the user.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Ariadne have the ability to materialize a shadowy form of the Minotaur into existence which is capable of both fighting and dying under their control, in a sense; afterwards, it will vanish and drains the user extensively. However, the Minotaur conjured is weaker than its real counterpart would be.

  1. Children of Ariadne have an excellent sense of direction, and are able to navigate and locate any location with ease, rarely getting lost.
  2. Children of Ariadne are typically willing to help others, even to strangers.

Theo Returns

Theo: As Theo returned to camp for the first time, he took it all in. It was weird to be back, isolated from the outside world once again. His hair was slicked back, and he was wearing a black T-Shirt and Jeans. His backpack was strung over his left shoulder, and he had just defeated a group of harpies right outside the camp entrance. Dual swords in hands, he approached the doors to the Hebe cabin, hoping to go unnoticed so he could surprise Benny. He let himself into Benny's room, despite the rules. He couldn't remember the last time he was so excited and anxious for anything.

Benny: Having been made Lieutenant, Benny's old room is empty. The younger boy's in a larger room further down the hall, with Simba on the door. Hearing the commotion, and something about an armed kid wanting to see him, he peeks out of his hallway to see his friend. "Theo?!" He runs up to him, and immediately tries to tackle hug his legs. "You're back! How come your swords are out? There aren't any evil monsters in my cabin!..."

Theo: Theo ruffled Benny's hair, as his face lit up. "Good to see you too kid." Theo's sword's shrunk and turnned back into pin form. "I fought a few harpies on my way over here. Didn't think to put them away. I'm just happy to be back. Care to show me your new room?"

Benny: "Sure. Tyler and I became lieutenants when we got back..." He jumps up, eager to fill Theo in on what he missed during his stay with his dad. "We went to Florida and met Iris, which was super cool! I also burned down a building by accident, made a few new friends, spent the summer on the beach...." His room looks about the same, except for a larger double bed and more toys stacked all around the room. "How was your stay?"

Theo: "My stay, was fantastic. I met a few friends of my own. One of them, your father. He's a funny guy. Or at least I think so. Thinking I'm all fixed now." Theo shook his head and laughed. Theo placed his backpack on the bed, and reached inside it. "I got you something." Theo took out a Pumba plushie that looked like it took up the whole backpack. "Here. I got an Apollo kid to enchant it so it sings the Hakuna whatever song."

Benny: As he's going to comment on Theo's recovery, Benny gets distracted by the Pumba plushie. He scoops it up in his arms. "Hakuna Matata, it means no worries..." The boy childishly sings along to the tune, forgetting that Theo was there until the second chorus. "Umm, thanks Theo! It's so cute...." He opens his arms to give his friend a giant hug.

Theo: "No problem kid." Little did Benny know that the plushie was stolen from a toy store, as Theo had taken off the tag. Theo sat down on the bed and looked out the window as he summoned a string tripping a girl in the hallway. "Thank Hunter. He was the one who convinced the Apollo kid to enchant it. All I did was steal the toy."

Benny: "Sorry! Theo, please can you not trip up my sister..." The son of Hebe asks, hugging the plushie tight to his chest. He hums along to the tune and squeezes the plushie. "Pumba's awesome. But I don't want you to steal for me. I can't accept it..." He sadly holds out the warthog. "Wait, who's Hunter?"

Theo: Theo shrugged. "Well, I tried. Thought that counts right?" Theo said to himself. He laughed slightly. "Should have known you would do that. Um, Hunter is... I guess you could consider him my equivilent to Tyler. But, more intimate."

Benny: "Ew. You have a boyfriend?" The younger boy giggles, while Pumba sings in the background. His light blue eyes glimmer in curiosity. "What's Hunter like? Is he nice?" He asks, awkwardly scratching the side of his head. "I guess I could send the toy shop money or something. It would be sad for Nala to not have a friend to play with..."

Theo: "Sure kid, I guess." Theo sighed. "Hunter is nice I guess... But then again, that's coming from me. And what do I know about nice? Who am I kidding? He's a Zeus kid. He's an ass. But I like him." Theo smiled slightly at the thought of Hunter.

Benny: "Awww. You like him...." He gushes a little. "So, when do I get to meet him? Maybe we can have a double date and go pegasi riding together, or something fun like that..." As he speaks, Benny starts to pace around the room with nervous energy. "I've been practicing my running and climbing while you were gone. I also worked out a neat new trick with my powers!....."

Theo: Theo gave Benny a look and rolled his eyes. "Yes, okay, I like him, now shut up about it." Theo said, quickly moving on from the comment. "I've learned a few new tricks myself as well. Watch this." Theo walked over to the door where on of Benny's siblings was walking past. He concentrated, and they looked around as if they didn't know where they were. "Excuse me, are you lost?" Theo asked him. "If you are looking for your room, you are in the wrong cabin. You're the next one over." The sibling thanked Theo, and walked towards the door. "Pretty cool, huh? Gods, that was fun."

Benny: "That's not fair. You didn't answer my question.." He childishly sticks his tongue out, as his sibling is guided back to their room by another one of Hebe's children. The Lieutenant gives Theo a stern look, or as stern a look as someone like Benny is possible of giving. "You don't need to be mean to show off your cool powers..." He glances outside. His room adjoins the cabin gardens, where there's a fountain and several bird feeders. "Look at that little sparrow outside and watch..." Channelling his powers over age, he turns the sparrow back into a little baby and picks him up. He gently gives it some bird-feed. "He's a baby now. Isn't that super cool?"

Theo: "Yeah, I know. But it's more fun that way. And don't think of it as being mean. Think of it more as more of obnoxious humor." Theo summoned a string and began to play with it. "And I don't know when you will meet Hunter. Whenever he decides to show up. Why do you even want to meet him so bad? You weren't this enthusiastic when you found out about Jacob."

Benny: "Well, I know Jacob. He's one of Ty's friends..." Benny shrugs his shoulders. He carefully reverts the bird's age back to normal and watches it fly away again. "We went pegasi riding together, and sometimes he lets me feed Cash sugar cubes..." He smiles softly. "C'mon, it'll be fun. I'll act grown-up and I won't embarass you, I promise.."

Theo: "Okay. Fine. Maybe. I'll think about it. But he's coming in a few weeks. I know that was your next question." Theo laid down on Benny's bad as if it were his own. "Nice bed kid. Maybe I should Become a counsellor. Naw, too much work."

Benny: "Yeah, Ty's cabin has a massive cloud bed...." He jumps on the bed and sprawls out, kicking off a few of his toys. They could be cleaned up later. "Um, it's not bad. I just have to help new campers and talk to my bigger brother Audie if there are any problems." He picks Pumba back up and sits him on the bed. "I think you could be really good at it.."

Theo: Theo shrugged. "Eh, responsibility really isn't my thing. I mean, one adminstrative position is enough. Oh, yeah. Your dad put me on the board of his shelter thing. Said I was a role model success story. As if I didn't just steal from a toy store. He's cool though. Thinks he knows everything, but he's cool."

Benny: "Oh cool. Has he been busy?" Benny asks. "I sent an Iris Message a few days ago, but we could only talk for a few minutes." He scratches his head awkwardly, while he lies back on the bed.  Dad was always busy these days. "Umm, wanna do something fun? We could have a pillow fight."

Theo: Theo laughed. "Your father is always busy with something. I remember, we were voting on the new defence policy for the shelter, and he had to leave in the middle of the meeting because on of his patients was bouncing off the walls or something. But hey, least I'm not the only one."

Benny: "Sounds like my dad. He's always busy." He shrugs his shoulders. "I guess he's not bad. I just wish I could have seen him more on the quest..." Benny admits, curling up into a little ball. "You're not crazy, you just don't know who you are. But like a wise monkey once said, we can run from the past or learn from it..."

Theo: "I prefer running. I like the rush."

Benny: Looking around, the son of Hebe finds a nearby pillow and tosses it at his friend. "You're a good friend Theo. I trust you'll do what's right." Admittedly, he's out of his depth here. Lion King quotes tended to help people the most. "So, don't be silly..."

Theo: "Anyone who trusts me to do anything without tricking them... they are the silly ones." Theo threw the pillow back at benny.

Benny: "Everyone knows I'm silly..." He catches the pillow. "It doesn't mean that I'm wrong. I just see things in a different way."

Theo: "Well, tell me if you saw this." Theo telekenetically attemptted to wrap a string around Benny's legs and hands as he picked up another pillow.

Benny: "Hey! That tickles...." Benny giggles. He wriggles to try and get his skinny hands out of the binding. As he's naturally more flexible than most, he's able to release one hand and undo the rest of the string. "Wanna go outside and do some training? I've been working on loads of super-cool things to show you.."

Theo: Theo nods. "Sure kid. Go show me what you're made of."

Benny "Awesome!" He bounces off the bed. "Um, is it okay if we choose a different arena today?" Truthfully, he'd practiced mostly in the Urban Arena. Although Lazarus assured him that Conor wouldn't return, and the fire was an accident, he didn't want to take any chances. "I think I've left my sword...ooh..." He trips over his gym bag, picks up his sword, tosses a few bits into the bag and hefts it over his shoulder. "All ready to go."

Theo: "I'm gonna go grab by dagger and some other stuff from my room. I'll meet you there." Theo walked out of Benny's room.

After-Fight/Ariadne Sleepover

Benny: A couple of days after the incident with Tyler, Benny finally feels okay to knock on Theo's door again. This time, it's the early evening, when the campfire is usually being stoked and the Apollo Cabin are starting to lead the singalongs. He's cold, so he shoves his hands into his jean pockets and waits for Theo or another child of Ariadne to answer the door.

Theo: Theo answered the door. "You here to talk about what happened with you and Tyler? Because I'm minding my own business and not giving Ty a hard time about it like you said. Come on in." Theo led Benny into his room. Theo sat down on his bed, and motioned for Benny to sit next to him. "You know, when I said that you should show you loved the kid, I didn't mean like that. But something tells me you didn't initiate that. So tell me what happened. Except now I'm actually listening and not laughing inside."

Benny: He blinked a couple of times. "Uh, actually I was gonna ask if you wanted to join us at the campfire." Benny said, showing Theo the blanket and the few stuffed toys he was carrying. "Um, I know. I just got back from Ty's, with all my things." He sat on the bed and shuffled, making himself comfortable. "We were showering to get rid of all the lake ick, and wanted to take a look. Honest." He turned bright red. "When you left, we ended up having cuddles."

Theo: "Whatever Benny, I don't really care. And no, I think I'll stay here. I hate singing. And smores. And having to talk to people I dislike. You can go to the campfire or stay here, but I'm gonna stay here." Theo said. He wasn't in the best of moods. "If you stay though, Ty isn't invited. I am not his biggest fan right now."

Benny: "Hey! That's no fair." The younger boy crossed his arms. "Ty didn't do anything wrong." Benny wrapped himself up in his blanket. "Um, I kinda liked it. But I'm way too young to be having sex. I don't want to catch cooties, and I thought you were supposed to be married anyways..."

Theo: "Yes, he did." Theo sighed, not speaking for a long moment. "Benny a year ago when I met you, you told me you would get cooties by kissing someone. Then, Ty kissed you. Then, you said you only get it when you touch someone else. But then, you did that with Ty. And now, you say you only get cooties from sex. See a pattern here? He's taking your innocence away. That's not supposed to happen to you. Not yet." Theo shook his head, disappointed. But not so much at Benny as with himself.

Benny: "You don't need to worry..." Benny shrugged his shoulders. "I wanted to kiss him, it was my choice. Uh, I guess it's just a part of growing up." He glanced at Theo. "It's not fair. You treat me like a silly kid, but get mad when I choose to do something more grown up. Friends are meant to trust each other with everything."

Theo: "Dont need to worry? Benny are you hearing yourself?" Theo sighed again. "Look Kid, you can handle yourself when it comes to just about anything involving a fight. You've proved that on multiple occasions. But boys get to your head. You're still vulnerable there. You are too trusting. Someone needs to help you see reality when nessecary. That's what I'm doing. That's why I worry."

Benny: "Fineee. You're right..." Leaning over, Benny tossed one of Theo's pillows at him. "I'm gonna be okay, I promise. Now, can we talk about something fun and not boring? Did you kiss any boys at my age? Did you kiss any girls too?" He stuck his tongue out and giggled. "I wanna try, but I haven't found my princess or prince at the top of the castle yet." He scratched his head.

Theo: "No, but I did other things. Things kids your age shouldn't do. And I paid the price for it. Boarding school gym class leaves plenty of locker room time for things to go wrong. Don't let boys fool you, whether it be by their appearence or the way they make you feel. Trust me kid, it isn't worth it. Relationships are fine, make sure it's because you would have wanted to, even if they didn't ask. Wee you really ready for what happened in that bathroom Benny? Ready for any reprecussions that follow? Because the Benny I know, when he wants something, he makes sure it's safe and without cooties. The Benny I know doesn't let boys stop him from thinking things through. That was the point I was hoping to get across when I enbarassed Ty. And to keep it from happening again of course."

Benny: "I dunno..." Benny admitted, cuddling his blanket close. It was cold, even within the confines of the Ariadne cabin. "Ty's always been really nice, and I think I'll be okay." He paused for a minute. "I don't like it when you act mean to him. He has confidence problems, I guess. It's not good for him, and it makes me feel sad." The son of Hebe glanced at Theo. "I don't want to lose him, but I don't want to lose you as a friend either. Um, it's really silly and annoying sometimes. I guess it's cause I lost a couple of friends..."

Theo: Theo knew exactly what Benny was referencing when he mentioned the loss of friends. His face softened. "Sorry kid. And now it's my turn to tell you not to worry. Because I'm not going anywhere. Ok? No matter what. And something tells me, Ty isn't either. But even if he does, you still have me, and Wil... and everyone else."

Benny: "I know..." Benny shuffled closer to Theo, "Still, can we stop all the talk about Ty and me? It's gross." He made a face in an attempt to lighten the mood somewhat. He didn't really feel like talking today. It could wait for another time. "Um, is it alright if I stay tonight? I don't feel like going to the campfire that much. I'll be quiet, honest..."

Theo: "Really? You seemed pretty siked for it ten minutes ago. Was this talk that depressing? But sure kid, you can stay. I don't know why you would want to; there isn't much to do here."
