Celandine "Cella" Goold ~ Child of Themis
Owned by:: Bach

Post Time:: 14:06, February 15, 2015 (UTC)

Cella shudders as she looks out her cabin window, it had been snowing off and on for a couple of days all across the eastern United States, camp was usually sheltered from the lighter snows, but when heavy storms hit, some always worked it's way through. She really wanted to go to the post office today because her dad said he'd sent a package for her, she knew she'd dealt with much worse in Alaska but she was tired. Sighing she tosses on her brown hiking boots, warmer jeans, a heavy blue cardigan and her black fur lined winter coat. Then tossing her messenger bag over her shoulder, she heads out of the Themis cabin and into the cold. Pausing to look around, she takes a pair of warm fur lined leather gloves out of her pockets and puts them on. She looked around, there were some campers around, here and there, but it was fairly early in the morning so she suspected a lot were still in their beds. She takes a deep breath and starts walking past the cabins, working here way towards the Big House.

Victoria Lisky ~ The Graceful Sky
Maiara-Walsh

" Two things awe me most, the starry sky above me and the moral law within me" - Immanuel Kant
Victoria looks at the sky. It's heavily snowing. Clearly, as a daughter of Zeus, she prefers the sky clear and blue, not snowy like this. In this kind of weather, she'd definitely enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate, and she knows just the right guy who will make a perfect cup. She heads to her boyfriend Justin's cabin. She put on a jacket and blue boots. But it seems like she doesn't need to go to Athena's Cabin any more, her boyfriend is standing in the Big House's front porch. She walks towards it and smiles, probably because she wants to surprise him.

  3. Children of Zeus can send an electric current through their body which gives them the ability to move extremely fast for a short time; however, they cannot have a weapon drawn so the speed is purely for evasion.

  5. Children of Zeus are innately resistant to both electricity and lightning.
  6. Children of Zeus have the ability to hover or fly, however, the longer they fly the more it drains them.

  11. Children of Zeus have the ability to create a large lightning storm which will begin to randomly strike the nearby area with large bolts of lightning, with no regard to friend or foe; doing so drains the child of Zeus extremely.
  12. Children of Zeus are able to transform into an eagle, as an eagle they are able to fly faster longer without tiring, but the longer they sustain this form, the more time they need to rest between transformations.
  13. Children of Zeus generally make strong leaders.
  14. Children of Zeus are generally good at predicting the weather, as Zeus was also the god of weather.
  15. Children of Zeus are rarely afraid of heights.

Celandine When she finally gets by the Big House, she starts to walk by it, but then her mobile phone rings, and as she starts to try to get in to her messenger bag, while walking, to answer it, she doesn't pay attention to some black ice hiding under some snow that was accumulating, and before she realises what's going on, her legs are out from under her and she's falling on her arse, she screams/yells out in surprise before landing with a thud.

Victoria: She is walking to the Big House when she hears a loud yell. She immediately runs to the place where the sound comes from. She sees a girl lying on the ice. She helps her stand up and asks: "Hey. Are you OK?"

Celandine: She accepts the help back to her feet and starts brushing off snow from her back side, "Oh yea ummm just a bit embarrassed, I should have been watching where I was going." She looks up and smiles sheepishly, "Thanks for helping me up."

Victoria: "Well, it's OK. Hey, I haven't seen you around. Are you new here?"

Celandine: Brushing off the last of any snow or dirt she smiles up at Victoria, "Yea I've only been here like, ummm I think a couple of weeks nor or so, my name's Celandine by the way, but if you want you can call me Cella." She smiles and offers her hand to shake nervously, still a bit shy when introducing herself to new people.

Victoria: She happily shakes Cella's hand. "I'm Victoria, but Tori is OK. I've only been here for a few weeks, so I guess we have something in common now. I'm Zeus' daughter. What about you?"

Celandine: She smiles, this girl seemed fun and pleasant, she liked that, "Themis is my mom..... So ummm, where are you from?" She asks, not sure what to say next...

Victoria: "If you mean my birthplace, then Washington D.C., but if you mean where I spent my childhood, then Baltimore. Let's just say, I'm not a fan of Washington D.C., not because of the government, but my grandpa is there, and he's kind of disown my mother just because of me". She says with a sad tone, she doesn't like talking about her grandpa very much.

Celandine: She gives a sympathetic look, "That stinks. I don't have a big family, my dad and I get along amazingly, his mortal mother is still alive but she hates anything involving cold, snow or wilderness so in like nearly 17 years I've only seen her like maybe 3 times, and once of those I was 4 months old so I don't really remember it."

Victoria: "Aw. That's sad. Wait, why are we talking about sad stories.? Let's talk about other stuff. Do you get along with your other siblings? Oh, not siblings, half-siblings."

Celandine: She smiles and shrugs, "sure I guess, I've only been here a few weeks, so far everyone seems nice enough. What about you, do you get along with the other kids in your cabin?" Cella still felt weird thinking of them as family, I mean she always knew she was a demigod and that she had half-siblings out there, but to actually finally meet them and live with them, it really hadn't quite sunk in yet. Then she suddenly starts giggling out loud at another thought, "Though if you think about it, the gods have so much like inter-mingling ummm I think it's possible everyone at camp is related somewhere." She giggles some more.

Victoria: "To be honest, I never really talk much with my half-siblings. It's just, there isn't any connections. The connection between true relatives, you know. Anyway, the inter-mingling thing would make me your, ummm, I guess I'd be your, granddaughter? But I don't want to think about it. If I think about it, then my boyfriend would be my nephew. And that's ew. Anyway, have you had an eye on any specific boy yet?" - She asked happily.

Celandine: She laughs at the idea of being Victoria's grandmother, then when the topic of boys comes up she gets a bit shy, "Ummm I don't think so.... I mean I've ummm talked to a few boys ummm, one was really nice and helped me when I ummm fell, one was sorta, well kind of rude all because he's like 4 and a half years older than me, acted like it made me some other species or something that shouldn't intermingle with him or be his friend, then there was his friend who acted like a drunk crazy person." She shrugs.

Victoria: "Okay, so let me guess, the drunk guy was Dionysus' kiddo?  Yeah, in that cabin, they all are crazy. Probably because their father is a god of insanity. Anyway, if you have a boyfriend, you'll feel less alone and less homesick. I mean, when I first came to camp, I missed my mom a lot, but now, thanks to Justin, I feel a lot more happy. One advice: If you find "the guy", hold him and never let him go. Like the nice boy who helped you. Now, gossip time. What's he like? Who's he? I'm guessing Athena's kid or Hephaestus' kid? Cause boys in those cabins are really great boyfriend."

Celandine: She raises an eyebrow, she really wasn't sure what having a boyfriend would have to do with missing her dad, granted she missed him sure, but she was still pretty excited to finally be out of Alaska for the first time in her entire life, "Ummm actually I think he said he was Thanatos but I don't know, I'm not really in a hurry to date, I don't really see how that would make me miss my dad less, and I'm definitely too young to be thinking about the guy I mean, I'm only 16." She shrugs, sure romance and dating looked somewhat fun from what she'd seen in movies and from the way her dad talked about his former wife and Themis, but he also always told her to enjoy being young and not worry about things like that, that if it happens it happens and not to rush anything.

Victoria: "A boyfriend would make you feel less alone, you know. Of course, you will always miss your dad, like I miss my mom, but I mean having a boyfriend is like having someone take care of you, make you feel safe and less alone, you know. But yeah, you'll still miss your dad. Anyway, if you like him, then why not? "Only 16"? I'm 14 and I have a boyfriend. Look, you are a lovely girl and that guy would fall in love with you immediately. Go for it!"

Celandine:' "Fall in love with? I'm definitely not ready to love a guy, I'd rather just make a lot of friends, sorry I honestly just don't see why a boyfriend would make me any less lonely than having just a ton of good friends would do just the same, only no complications or getting in over my head or making mistakes or all that complex stuff that goes with relationships. My dad always told me that I'd just know when I was ready. I mean don't get me wrong, if I happened to meet a guy I wouldn't like say no if I liked him, but I'm just not really actively searching, I don't need some guy to feel complete. My dad always told me that I need to be happy for me and that everything else will fall in to place when it's time and Eros strikes." She smiles patiently, she'd always been mature for her age, probably because she was around adults more than kids, but this girl seemed boy obsessed, and that was definitely not her.

Victoria: "Let's talk about something else, shall we?" She changes the subject, since what she said sounds a lot like like she's an Aphrodite girl. "So, have you ever used your powers, like for fighting?"

Celandine: She nods, relieved to be done with such an immature topic, and an awkward one at that, "A bit, my dad trained me as much as he could before coming to camp but ummm, a recent accident... he ummm didn't trust he'd be able to train or protect me properly any more." She says with a sad undertone.

Victoria: She realized Cella's tone and said: "Oh, sorry for bringing back some sad memories."

Celandine: She shrugs, "Oh it's ok, it's just, it it only just happened a few weeks before coming to camp, so like a couple of months ago, so it's still sorta fresh, though he's tried to be all like, well calm about it, but well as you can imagine living in the Alaska wilds isn't easy for anyone, and though monsters may be less there than in more populated areas where scents are stronger, they still happen, and now he only has one good arm thanks to me. I'm not sure if I'm punishing myself because I think it's my fault, or if it's just because I'm that much more worried about him being out there all alone, the nearest neighbour like 2 miles away by sled."

Victoria: "It's not your fault that monsters kept attacking you. Don't blame yourself for making your dad's injures. It's the monster's fault." She says as she comforts Cella. "How about doing something fun? I can cheer you up. Come on! It's a girls day!"

Celandine: "Oh no it wasn't a regular monster, my dad made a training automaton for me to use to prepare. I got cocky one day when he was gone and thought I could program it myself, make it more difficult, and I did something wrong and it went out of control, I'd be dead if my dad hadn't gotten back when he did."

Victoria: She realizes she has brought up some sad stuff, and she regretted doing so. She decided to invite Cella to do something fun. "Hey, wanna do anything fun? Just us girls."

Celandine: She perks up, "Oh that'd be fun, growing up with mostly just my dad around, well, actually even most of our closest neighbours were all guys and old men and shit, I've never really gotten to do a lot of girlie stuff, it'd be fun to try" She smiles excitedly, her mood switching as she goes back to burying her feelings about what happened to her and her dad just weeks earlier.
