– Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. ~ Aristotle
Powers of a Daughter of Athena
Children of Athena have the ability to see each specific pressure point on another person and are proficient at striking them in order to immobilize or greatly pain another person for a short time.
Children of Athena are changed during battle and become stronger and quicker in combat than a normal human could achieve.
Children of Athena are able to generate loose materials or manipulate any loose materials found around them to weave a wall. The wall obstructs the view of anyone facing them, and also blunts attacks. However, it does not stop attacks entirely, it is only capable of slowing the attacks down (possibly say that the wall will cut like a bunch of woven stuff or something ~ spiders and what not).
Children of Athena, using their inclinations of battle and strategy, can most of the time, predict the course of action an opponent attacking them will take, and and are able to dodge or parry accordingly. However, if the prediction is wrong this may cost the child of Athena dearly.
Children of Athena have the innate ability of hyper-cognition. They are able to perform more complex mental operations than a normal human could achieve. They are able to process thoughts and learning far quicker than others with little cognitive effort.
Children of Athena have innate battle reflexes which allows them to fight and dodge quickly.
Children of Athena are able to communicate with and command owls. If the user gives too many commands, the owls will become frustrated and disobey.
Children of Athena have the ability to empower strength and intelligence upon nearby allies and instil fear upon nearby enemies with a deafening war cry for a short time.
Children of Athena have minor telepathic abilities, making them able to telepathically communicate with their allies and read the current thoughts of an opponent’s mind. But this mind reading does not always work.
Children of Athena through telepathy are able to alter the moods of a person or group of people for a short time. They are able to make an ally calmer and more courageous or an opponent panicked or depressed. Once a target has suffered from this power, they become resistant to it for a moderate amount of time.
Children of Athena can curse an opponent, temporarily ruining their ability to formulate battle strategies for a short time. With this curse, the target would only think up rather silly and quite awful strategies. This gives the user a chance to attack or flee. Ex: The target would fake a heart attack and fall back on the ground, thinking the user would believe it and give up on the fight.

Children of Athena, due to the strength of their minds, are gifted with the ability of clairvoyance. They are able gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses, for example beyond their normal sensory range or when unable to use their physical senses. Some techniques of clairvoyance are veridical dreaming, scrying and parasight.
6 Months After Character is Made
Children of Athena can curse an opponent with severe stupidity and ignorance, temporarily stripping them of their intelligence and knowledge. The curse can cause an opponent to lose their common sense, fighting skill and tactical abilities. The target could even be unsure how to swing a sword or use their powers properly. After a short time, the curse will wear off and the target will regain their intelligence and knowledge. Their minds will be resistant to further use of the curse for a moderate time and the user will be substantially drained.

Children of Athena can turn into a normal sized owl of whichever species they select for a short period of time, allowing them flight. The user has the option to grow into a giant owl, it can be up to 2 to 3 times bigger than their size as a human. This will make the transformation more draining. As a giant owl, the user would be twice as fast as a normal owl mid-flight, be able to transport allies and possess a very loud scream. After the transformation, they are extremely drained. Children of Poseidon can fire a powerful blast of water from their hands, equivalent to that of a fire hose, which evaporates after a short time.
Children of Poseidon have the ability to conjure and freeze small amounts of water into durable ice weapons, which can be used for combat; however, only one weapon can be conjured at a time and it cannot be bigger than the one who conjured it. Children of Poseidon are are able summon a specific horse, pegasus, or sea creature directly to their position, regardless of distance. This only works on creatures that they have a strong personal bond with.
Children of Poseidon can calm, strengthen or influence the direction of the winds, though to a much lesser extent than children of Zeus or the anemoi.

6 Months After Character is Made
Children of Poseidon are able to shape a semi-living construct out of water, no larger than 3 to 4 times the size of the user, that fights for them for a short time. The user is weakened while the construct is active, and the longer they maintain the it, the more energy it drains.
9 Months After Character is Made
Children of Poseidon are able to transform their bodies into a state of pure water for a short time, becoming immune to most attacks. The hydrokinetic abilities they already possess are enhanced by this state, and they are capable of covering great distances in an instant while underwater. The user will be extremely drained once the transformation ends, and could possibly faint.
Children of Poseidon always know their exact coordinates when in water and are able to innately feel the difference between freshwater and saltwater.

Lallaine: Well, as she trotted along, she saw someone lying against a tree, eyes closed. Sleeping, she thought and bothered not to wake him up. She saw a bench and sat on it. But, unexpectedly, a large spider came crawling towards here, its size and appearance making her scream so loud and jump away.
James: James woke up startled and took his pen out of his pocket and uncapping it running I into a sword while he ran to where he heard the scream
Lallaine: Taking a stick, she tried whacking the spider with it. She didn't succeed in killing it, but it just went away. Even though, she still held the stick in front of her in case the spider appeared once more. Aside that, she heard footsteps running nearby.
James: James finally found where the scream came from and saw a girl hitting a spider with a stick. Really he thought It is just a spider why did she have to scream and walked over there to see if he could help.
Lallaine: Turning around, she saw the guy who was sleeping ago looking at her with a funny face. Great, I woke him up, she thought. But instead of saying sorry, she yelled, "Why are you looking like that? Is anything funny?" Her voice raised higher than she expected.
James: "Nothing" James said wondering why her voice is so high picth
Lallaine: "Sorry. Just surprised," she said and threw the stick away. She looked at the guy and rested her eyes on the sword he was holding and scrunched her eyebrows. "What's with the sword? Arachnophobia's not much of an enemy, hmm?"
James: "Thought it was a monster' James said while capping his sword turning into a pen and slipping it into his pocket
Lallaine: "A monster, huh?" she nagged, folding her arms over her chest. "But, sorry really for waking you up. Guess you have a dream there and I interrupted. Please just apologize me for it. I really had that phobia, and even though I tried to fight it-" she shook her head, "- I still can't. Sorry again." She nodded at the boy in front. "What's your name, by the way?"
James: "Don't worry I wasn't even asleep' James said' And my name is James. What yours"
Lallaine: "Oh, okay. I'm Lallaine," she replied, stretching an arm out for a shake of hands. "You're a son of...?"
James: James take her hand and shakes it and says "I'm a son of Poseidon. You"
'Lallaine': "Athena," she said with her voice trembling. Okay, she knew the cabin's rules were to not trust Poseidon kids. But then again, he seemed nice. Lallaine didn't know if her eaction of being uncomfortable was written on her face.
James: "Aren't are parents rivals or something" James asked
Lallaine: "I know that," she said. "But maybe that's not much of a reason for us not to talk of get to know each other right?" Lallaine shrugged and smiled at him.
James: "That is our parents not us" James said "Why can't we"
Lallaine: "That's what I said! So, will we?" She felt a spark of being excited. That's was just her first.....ugh never mind.
James; "Yeah we should" James said
Lallaine: "Okay so...um..." she looked back at the bench she sat on a while ago. "Why don't we sit first and have a little chat?" she sugested, gesturing at the seat behind her. "The spider will not come back, I know."
James: James sat down beside her and said "That wasn't a spider"
Lallaine: "Not a spider?" she said, confused. "If not, then what was it?" she asked as they sat on the bench.
'James: "I mean that wasn't big compared next to the spiders I have seen" James said
Lallaine: "Ah, okay." She tucked a hair that was in her sight. "So, how's your life as a demigod, then? How long were you here?" Lallaine couldn't think of anything better to start a conversation, so she stared at the certain ones.
James: "Good and I think over a month" James replied "You"
Lallaine: "Just for 3 weeks. And it's all good, especially when I've met my half-siblings. Well, just one who I've had a conversation." She looked up at the sky and thought about her mom.
James: "Ever meet your mum" James asked Lallaine
Lallaine: "Never in personal," she replied. "But I've seen a picture of her with my dad. That time I thought I could find her and bring her back but...she's an Olympian up there." She looked at James. "You? Have you met your dad? Personal or dream?"
James: "Nah" James replied while looking back at her
Lallaine: "Okay. So first things first. Tell me about yourself—anything you think you might want to say," she just said, sitting erect.
James: "I'm Australian" James said
Lallaine: "Okay," she said slowly and nodded her head. "Pretty far from New York, eh? Where in Australia?"
James: "Near Sydney" James said "Where did you come from"
Lallaine: "Just here. Long Island. Not that far from camp," she replied and thought about something. "I wanna see a vampire. Wait—vampire or empousa?"
James: "I think empousa" James said
Lallaine: "Okay, an empousa," she corrected. "And one more thing, how old are you? 'Cause you seem old enough to do with swords and other things. Try to teach me if you could or if you want to?"
James: "I'm 14" James said "I could if you wanted me to"
Lallaine: "14?" She absorbed the information that she was older than him, for just one year, of course. "That's nice. And I would want to try have a fight with you. By the way, your sword's pretty cool."
James: "When do you want to fight" James asked
Lallaine: "Anytime," she said, half-raising her arms. "When are you available? 'Cause I'm always. I don't get to do much things 'round here."
James: "I'm here year round to so anytime I'm not surfing would be good' James said
Lallaine: "Surfing? I want to see people surf live," she exclaimed, clapping her hands and turning directly at James. "I only see them in TV. Where do you surf? Can I come watch you how?" She didn't stop questions out of her mouth.
James: "That is a lot of questions" James said "I surf at the beach here and you can come if you want to"
Lallaine: "Okay, okay. Sorry," she said, raising her hands in front of her in defeat. "Thanks for telling. I'll watch. But about the training whatsoever, were you sure about it? I mean, if yes, where?"
James: "Yeah I'm sure and lets do it somewhere I don't have a advantage" James said
James: "You can stop helping me now" James said as they got closer to the cabins
Lallaine: "Alright." She let go of him and rubs her forehead. "Are you sure you can get there alone? You look like you're going to pass out again. Want me to throw you a bucket of ice water?" she teased.
James: "Is that meant to be funny cause I was water not long ago" James said while he sat down
Lallaine: "I don't do funny," she replied, smiling like he was unbelievable. "And I am serious about that! Water gives you strength, am I right?"
James: "Yeah so can you just get the water and tip it on me" James said "And you have said and done some pretty funny stuff"
Lallaine: 'Shut up," she nagged as she walked away to get a mug of water. Once she did, she walked back to James and threw the water directly in his face. "Better?"
James: "Not bad but I would have preferred if you handed it me" James said while he wiped his face on his shoulder
Lallaine: "It seems better if I throw it," she said, dropping the pail down with a loud, empty bam. "Anyway, the sun is still up," she discerned, unsheating her sword.
James: "Really you want to go me again" he said while he thought That came out so weird
Lallaine: "No way. I'm done with you," she said, trying to find the spot where the sun's rays glints off her sword's blade. "If I could just put the moon up already. I want tomorrow now."
James: "Then what are you doing with your sword then" James said while getting up
Lallaine: She arched a brow. "Can't I just take it out and sharpen it?" She took out a dagger from the sheath hanging behind and started sliding it on the sword, making a screeching sound.
James: James stuffed his fingers in his ears to try and make the noise stop for him but it only made it a tiny bit better. "Could you please stop that" James asked
Lallaine: She stopped. "Hurts...?" she muttered, sheathing her sword back.
James: "A bit" James said after he took his fingers out of his ears
Lallaine: She suddenly changes mood. "Ugh, I'm tired. Need a book to read," she said.
James: "Can you actually get books here" James asked
Lallaine: "Of course, duh. Our cabin has lots of 'em,' she replied, rolling her eyes as she started to walk towards her cabin.
James:I might go for a bit of a lie down" James said walked off to find the nearest bench to lay on
Lallaine: "I think... I'll take a nap," she mutters as she shuts the door of the Athena cabin.
