Roleplay[]

Skylar: Skylar leaned against the decorated wall, nursing a non-alcoholic cocktail. He would be lying if it didn't taste better, more....well....flavourful. It hadn't been to an event like this in years and he couldn't tell if that was a good thing or not. Glen was beside him, the two had maintained their no non-platonic contact rule the entire week they'd been here. It was looking good, this whole thing might actually work. "Did I hear you working out this morning?" It was a weird question but Skylar didn't like silence, especially not around someone he lo- his roommates and friends.

Glen: Glen had been dragged out to the ball by Skylar, he hadn't really been up to it at first, mainly because he'd not been to an event like this in a long time. He felt somewhat out of touch with all the glamour of it all, but he tried to relax. He'd been absent mindedly watching some of the couples dancing, a twinge of jealously at the romance of it all when he heard Skylar speak to him, snapping him out of it. "Hm? Oh...yeah I was. I got more into it after I left camp, actually have a routine for it now." Glen was a bit surprised by the odd question, hoping the confusion wasn't showing on his face.

Skylar: Skylar paused for a moment, realising how horribly weird the question had been, what did he mean, "did I hear you working out this morning?". He barely resisted the urge to facepalm right there and then. The drink swirled gently as Skylar stared into it, remaining awkwardly silent. This wasn't awkward, was it? He tried to reassure himself. Just two friends going to a party together, nothing weird at all...He felt sick, his stomach with churning. He sat his glass down before steadying himself on Glen and deciding to find a bathroom. Wandering the halls to find the bathroom was like stalking the path of a labyrinth, Skylar had no idea where he was going.

Glen: Glen waited for a reply, the silence stretching on and making him feel incredibly awkward. The question was...weird, he almost blushed when Skylar had asked him, but then again wasn't everything kinda weird with their situation right now? He lost his train of thought when he felt Skylar steady himself against him, Glen raising an eyebrow in concern. "Skylar?..." Skylar left without a word and Glen felt himself panic, was his drink spiked or something? He followed after him, feeling even more worried at the look on Skylar's face. "Are you alright?"

Skylar: After a few minutes of searching, he found his way to the bathroom, opening one of the stalls and retching into the toilet. It took him a moment to notice Glen had followed him, "Yeah...yeah I'm fine...just...I don't know..." He couldn't tell him the truth, what would he think? He moved back into a sitting position, leaning against the stall wall as he reached over and grabbed some toilet paper to wipe his mouth.

Glen: He wasn't sure what exactly triggered this, whether Skylar was ill or something else, but he could tell that he was clearly distressed and that didn't help ease Glen's own worries. He leaned down and offered his hand to Skylar. "Come on, let's get you some water at least and then we'll talk about it." He gave Skylar a small smile, hoping it might help relax Skylar.

Skylar: Skylar reached over to Glen as if asking him to help him up. He stood up shakily before following Glen to the small kitchenette in the building. He sat down at the table, gently tapping the table as if to break any sort of tension that had begun to appear.

Glen:After helping Skylar up (and trying to ignore the feelings and many memories it gave him) Glen sat with Skylar at the table. He grabbed a glass of water and handed it over to him. "Here...drink some of this and then you can talk whenever you feel up to it," Glen still wasn't sure what was going on, but he was beginning to have some ideas and he wanted to hear it to be certain.

Skylar: Skylar fingered the glass gently, he didn't really feel like drinking it but...he supposed he should appease Glen. Shit, how would he explain this? He took a sip, a dribble of water missing his mouth and running down his chin. He wiped it with this sleeve before unbuttoning his shirt, feeling as though he was being constrained. "What do you want me to say?" He muttered.

Glen: Glen fiddled with the watch on his wrist, trying to keep his eyes averted as Skylar unbuttoned his shirt. His thoughts really didn't need to go down that road. He sat up slowly, wondering if he did even know what he wanted Skylar to say. "I'm just...worried. Do you feel ill? Or was it something I said? You don't just randomly throw up out of nowhere, looking like you were about to have a panic attack." His hand started to reach out to Skylar's across the table, but he managed to stop himself before they could touch hands.

Skylar: Skylar's gaze was fixed to his glass as he tried desperately not to meet Glen's gaze, he took another sharp sip of water from the glass. What am I going to say, oh shit... He thought to himself. Should I just tell him? It's only been a week... "It's just...f*ck...like...." He struggled to find the words, a first for Skylar.

Glen: Usually Skylar had a lot to say, but him struggling to talk was very new to Glen. Before he could talk himself out of it again, he grabbed Skylar's hand gently. He knew already he was somewhat breaking the rule, but if what Skylar was struggling to say was what he thought it was, then that rule would be out the window soon. "Skylar I-" He sighed before continuing on. "We've known each other a long time and...I'd like to think you can talk to me about anything. So...please?" Glen needed him to say it first, or he'd never say it himself.

Skylar: If Skylar was in the right mind he would've pulled his hand out of Glen's but...there was something comforting about having Glen's hand in his. He hadn't felt the calluses of his hand in forever but he could never forget them. Skylar pursed his lips, "This is difficult."

Glen: Glen felt relieved that Skylar hadn't pulled his hand away, he felt like Skylar needed the comfort, but also it meant something to him too. Yeah that platonic rule was gone, even if they both weren't ready to admit it. Glen held his hand a bit tighter, still gentle, but he wanted to make his intentions clear through the action. "I know but if you're thinking what I think you are, then I need you to tell me." He tried to keep his tone neutral, but his heart was pounding from anxiety, what if he read everything wrong?

Skylar: Skylar tapped his free hand against the table, a look of worry crossed across his face which gradually became more comfortable. He opened his mouth for a moment, searching for words; "I...I don't think the platonic rule is working, at least....not for me..." He searched for any sign in Glen's face which betrayed his true emotions.

Glen: Glen had been nervously waiting for Skylar's answer and even though he'd been hoping that was the answer, he still couldn't believe it. He leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss against Skylar's cheek. "I think that answers your question about how I feel about the whole platonic rule...I would've actually kissed you, but you did just throw up so." He laughed quietly, at how silly this whole confession was and how it was so fitting for them.

Skylar: The blood rushed to Skylar's face as he put his hand over the spot which Glen had just kissed before he began caressing Glen's face. He met Glen's gaze. This was bringing back a lot of memories, some of them not the best yet...yet right now was perfect. "Why did I let you go?" Skylar whispered catching his breath.

Glen: Glen beamed, feeling his cheeks heat up as Skylar caressed his face. It had been a long time since him and Skylar had been together like this and he wouldn't let him go ever again. "It doesn't matter what happened back then...you're the love of my life and I'm here now." He found himself whispering the words back and lifted up Skylar's hand to kiss it.

Skylar: When Glen kissed Skylar's hand, Skylar, in a flustered panic, knocked over his glass of water causing it to spill all over the table. Hearing the thump of the glass falling over, he jumped. "Wait...shit, sorry..." He muttered, springing up to grab a collection of paper towels. Wow...what a doofus I am... He thought to himself.

Glen: Glen jumped as well when the glass slipped, he hadn't been expecting Skylar to panic like that. He couldn't help but feel very smug over how flustered he made Skylar, a man who was well known for being so flirty (then again weren't all of Eros' children?). "Here, let me help." He grabbed some of the paper towels to help Skylar clean up, a not so subtle smirk on his face. "Who would've thought the Skylar Lune would get so flustered by my flirting?"

Skylar: Skylar shot Glen a playful glare as he continued to mop up the spilt water. This eventually turned into a very obvious game of Skylar trying to lightly brush his hand against Glen's.

Glen: Glen couldn't help but laugh softly at Skylar's playful glare, giving him a grin in return. Noticing that Skylar kept trying to touch his hand, once they cleaned up the water, he took hold of Skylar's hand and laced his fingers in between his.

Skylar: Skylar struggled to hide his blushing face, it was like he was a teenager again. Hopelessly in love or well...what this was. It felt like love, probably the closest he'd felt to it in a long time. "Does this mean I can come into your room?" He laughed a little to mask whatever awkwardness still lingered, "It's just mine...mine has a creaky floorboard...and well..."

Glen: Now it was Glen's turn to blush, he could feel his cheeks heat up and he was sure he was bright red. It had been a very long time since he felt like this and to be honest, he never fell out of love with Skylar. Even through all the messy drama over the years, Glen had always loved him. "Well...um...yes?" Realising that sounded like he was uncertain, he steadied himself before talking again. "Yes, you can. But I just want to check...do you want us to be together again? Because I do, more than anything, which I'm sure you can tell." He nudged him playfully with a smile.

Skylar: "I...I think it's pretty obvious what I want..." There was a large smile plastered on his face. Upon seeing Glen blushing, Skylar let out another soft chuckle and gently nudged him back, "See? I've still got it." He winked somehow both seductively and awkwardly simultaneously.

Glen: Glen couldn't help but grin happily when hearing Skylar's answer, his cheeks still pink from Skylar's flirting. He grabbed Skylar's other hand and pulled him in close. "I don't think you ever lost it...especially not with me." Glen nodded in the direction of the ballroom's dance floor. "Come dance with me...boyfriend." He added the last part casually, but just saying that word again to Skylar sent his heart aflutter.

Skylar: His smile remained as he took ahold of Glen's hand, moving in the direction of the dancefloor. It had been a while since Skylar had felt that way, his heart skipping beats every second. For the first time in forever, Skylar felt...right.
