Water Arena

Arenas agua2
  • Both very deep and shallow water areas, ranging from 20 feet deep to a few inches
  • A tunnel deep down goes out to the ocean where other creatures could be called in
  • There's plenty of dry areas as well for users not Palaemon or Poseidon kids, that are covered with anything ranging from sand to grass to some small vegetation/shrubs
  • There are some trees around the sides of the arena and below the cliffs (not shown in picture) that can be used for cover and provides plenty of places for shadows
  • There are also cliffs around parts of the Arena, ranging in height, with both water and land below them, the cliffs also cast shadows on the arena below
  • The arena is open to the sky and elements
  • On each end of the arena, on top of some large pillars, are pyres, full of fire and wood. The fire that burns within the pyres can not be extinguished, but if the fire is removed from the pyres, it can then be put out.

Daevyd walks into the arena, smelling the various scents and aromas, but foremost is the scent of rain. And lots of it. Sighing, he strapped down his weapons, the standards 2 katars on his hips, 2 daggers on his back-waist, and a pack of throwing knives on his left hip. Pulling his hood over his head and the cowl over his face, he set out to the copse of trees nearby, sitting in one of the branches, waiting. Thinking of what he could do, he quickly went over the various ideas that could leave him vulnerable or empower him. Throughout all of this, his main objective was clear to him, he needed to stay out of the water and in the shadows. He couldn't do anything if he fell into a pool.

Analeese Nicole Sterling ~ Head Counsellor of Nemesis' Cabin

Analeese walks into the arena, the rain dripping down on her dark hair. She pulls over the hood of her leather armour, her eyes scouting the arena. Her loadout is similar to Daevyd's, two celestial bronze short-swords, a set of throwing knives and a crossbow with twelve bolts. She takes cover amidst the cliffs of the arena, which skirt the turbulent waters. Checking her weapons are securely strapped, she watches and waits, readied for any confrontation. This side of the map seems quiet and there is little in the way of noise, except the surrounding thunder. Her plan is simple, stay hidden and hedge her bets until an opportunity arose.

Character's Powers


  1. Children of Nemesis have the ability to send a small wave of energy which will cause anyone affected to lose their balance and fall; after the effects have worn off, a person is immune to further effects of this for a moderate time.
  2. Children of Nemesis, after receiving a wound, are able to empower their next successful attack, causing it to do more damage than it normally would.


  1. Children of Nemesis can create a field of energy around them that causes all people nearby to lose their balance fall to the ground and continue to fall if they try to get up; the user is drained the longer the field is sustained.


  1. Children of Nemesis are innately balanced and are great at climbing.
  2. Children of Nemesis have innate reflexes which allows them to fight and dodge quickly.


  1. Children of Nemesis are able to empower a wounded ally with the fervor to achieve vengeance upon the one who wounded them; this effect greatly increases the strength and speed of the ally when they fight the one who wounded them until vengeance is achieved.
  2. Children of Nemesis have the ability to cause someone near them to regard others with no personal favor or disdain and consider everything based purely upon facts.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. For every attack against them, Children of Nemesis have the ability to create a counter-attack that is equal in force to the attack made against them. The user is temporarily vulnerable and weakened after each use, so they must be used sparingly

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Nemesis have the ability to link themselves and another person into a state of pure balance, forcing the other person to mirror the child of Nemesis’ movements without the ability to move of their own accord and while this link is sustained, any wound that either of the two suffers, the other suffers it as well; once the link is broken, on top of retaining any wounds sustained while linked, the child of Nemesis is greatly drained and unable to fight for a moderate time.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Nemesis can create a field around them, and anyone within that field has their demigod powers neutralised for a short time, anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, this puts anyone fighting around the child of Nemesis on even turf as they all can only use their melee/hand to hand combat skills to fight with. While the child is perpetuating this field, they are not able to attack themselves and are vulnerable.


  1. Children of Nemesis tend to be well balanced people
  2. They can tell when someone's life is out of balance with either too much good or too much bad

The Fight

Daevyd: Waiting securely in a tree he sat, wondering just how he would get anywhere in this place if there were hardly any shadows. Sitting still, he focused his energies and drew his katars, summoning a soul-split version of himself and sent it sprinting across the arena, then slowed it down, walking slowly, feigning exhaustion.

Analeese: Staying where she is, Analeese spots a shadowy figure walking across the beach. Protected overhead by the cliff-face, she moves towards a waterfall which rushes into the sea. The excellent balance afforded to the children of Nemesis allows her to safely scale the narrow ledges and find a small gap, behind the rushing water, which provides extra cover. She picks up a nearby stone and tosses it into the nearby water, waiting to see whether the son of Thanatos (his shadow-self) would react.
