- Jasper: "I have JunChi ," Jasper answered, showing her a beautiful purple longsword. "It's a family heirloom left by my ancestors who are demigods. The name of the sword means to Support the Lord. It's made of celestial bronze."
- Haze: Haze marvelled the sword's ancient design. "Oh, wow. It looks so cool. Dad just gave me a generic celestial bronze sword." She laughed, not the type to get jealous over Zeus' favors. Then again, at least his ancestors cared about him. Maybe since he was male. "Anyways, what type of training are we doing now? Powers, combat, long range?" No demigod could possibly do all in the span of four hours, so the ex-lieutenant gave Jasper a choice.
- Jasper: "Power and combat," Jasper answered. "I trained in different styles of Chinese Swordplay and Taekwondo since childhood. One because it's interesting, second because my martial arts crazed grandparents. But I want to explore the different ways I could use my powers to my advantage. Like... Could you channel lightning into the blade and attack enemies with it?"
- Haze: "Oh, damn, you got started early. Lucky. Then, we don't need to focus on combat as much." She mentioned. The daughter of Zeus then nodded. "Yes, you can. Well, creative ways... let's head over to the Urban arena then." She gestured for him to follow. In the middle of their walk, she casually mentioned. "Most of us enjoy the Water arena. Our previous counsellor, Landon Jeon, won a contest here in camp for it. He did the electricity conducts in water trick."
- Jasper: Jasper nodded and followed her the the arena. He listened in interest at the mention of the water trick. "Your previous counsellor sounds like he's got some tricks up his sleeves. I've never thought using my powers like that," he said. "Although water isn't for me. I hate getting wet."
- Haze: "He does. Great guy, I might say. Pleasure to have worked with him." She then took him to the urban arena, where tall skyscapers, buildings, and other dilapidated structures were located. "Don't worry about the water. It took me so long to learn how to swim. There are structures you can stand on too. Plus, we can fly." She referred to the water arena. "Welcome to the urban arena."
- Jasper: "Nice," he said. "Like straight out of an apocalypse movie." "So sis," Jasper said turning to Haze. "Teach what you know."
- Haze: The daughter of Zeus nodded. "First, follow me." Haze levitated to a building with a clear view of another one. She then pointed to the opposite building. Once Meng would follow, she would then explain. "I'm rather aggressive, so most of the methods I'll teach you are deadly but effective. For example, that fusebox over there. Despite these buildings being foreclosed, much of their power source still runs. Nearly all buildings here operate the same way. Now, if your opponent won't come out, smoke and fire will bring him out. Care to shoot the fusebox to see what happens?" The duo were a considerable distance away from the building's side with the open electricity fuse. Therefore, if an explosion were to happen, they would be safe.
- Jasper: Jasper nodded and looks forward the fusebox in the distance. He concentrated his power into his right palm and pitched the conjured sparkling purple ball of lightning at the fuse. It hits moment later and an explosion occurred.
"Woah," Jasper said. "Nice."
- Haze: The explosion leads to rubble crumbling down, and the building being even nearer to its end. "Now, of course, you also know the basics, right? Water and metal conduct electricity. Copper's used 'cause it's cheap, and gold for its harder corrosion resistance, but silver's your best bet. On the other side, the two could find a floor that was a silverwork store. "If you shoot just a little bit of lightning there, you should get the place so electrically charged, it might trigger the sprinklers, which would make that field very dangerous for anyone who isn't dad's kid." She explained. "The trick in fighting is to save up stamina, so you always want to use objects around you that do the deed for you. At the end of a match, a weary opponent is easier to strike, especially if they're new to fighting." Most of the time, newbies were also given skirmishes against each other for better learning. Thus, Haze shared her tricks so that Jun would bring glory back to their cabin.
- Jasper: Jasper listened to her words and found that he really haven't thought of all that. Science hasn't been his thing and even though he knows the basics, Jasper would never think about using these things to his advantage.
When Haze finished explaining, Jasper threw a single bolt of bright purple lightning at the rundown store. Sure enough, it enhanced the electricity so much that the light bulbs that doesn't work anymore turned on and explored from the energy overload. And like Haze suggested, all the sprinklers went off.
- Haze: Clap, clap, clap. Three steady applauses. "Great job, Jasper!" She praised, liking how her half-brother came to understand the techniques quickly. "I also suggest clapping really loudly before you set up the room or immediately transforming into a discreet eagle, so your opponent wouldn't hear or see it coming." Haze then stood closer to the edge of their building. She shot a small electric ball into the sky. "Now, I can't teach you all my tricks, but you'll find the last three quite special." Suddenly a flock of pigeons came to her command. One of them landed on her shoulder. Haze's method was a flashier way, but Jasper could always just summon them telepathically. "Most Zeus kids use birds to scout, peck, or shield them from attacks. However, I use them as diversions and conductors. You see, birds excrete liquid and solid waste together. So, if you 12 birds dumped on one person, that's enough liquid to double the effect of your lightning, and they'll be too irritated to notice their doom. You can try commanding them to come after..." She then looked down to find a body of a dead cat on their building's suspended janitor platform. Its body was intact, signalling its recent death. She motioned for Jasper to come over to see. "that." Years of lieutenant counsellor challenges made the daughter of Zeus a rather crafty opponent. Now that she had other matters to focus on - such as post-graduate duties - she was willing to teach Emilio and Jasper all she knew, so they too can lead the cabin.
