Nam Ky:she walked into the arena, sword at her side and wearing armor that was too big on her. She adjusted the shoelace on her foot and rubbed her fingers in nerves
Sam: she joined Nam Ky soon after, her curly hair was tied up in a ponytail, a few strands falling in front of her face, covering her ears, and her normally bare legs were covered bya pair of sturdy jeans. She drew her sword as well as she faced Nam Ky. "Thank you for coming." she says.
Nam Ky: she grins, equally glad to be fighting on even turf. She armor glints in the sunlight. She swings her sword around for emphasis and readies herself. "My pleasure." Without another moment, she lunges with her sword for Sam.
Sam: Expecting someone as confident as Nam Ky to strike first, and without warning, was prepared as she brought her sword up, making contact. The loud clang of their swords echoed through the arena, seeming creepy in the eerily empty urban area. To counter, she flicked her wrist, drawing her sword in a long arc to parry the attack.
Nam Ky: the sword she was holding clattered out of her hands. Will one hand lost the sword, the other waved, producing a lance made of solid ice, steaming in the warmer air. She thrust her hand forwards, sending the lance towards Sam with no hesitation.
Sam: taken aback, she barely made it in time to avoid a stomach scratch from the lance, as it surged past her, clipping her in the side. it flew behind her and hit an old car, exploding into millions of ice pieces. Not stopping to check if there was blood, she figured two could play a power game. Extending her palm, she shot stingers from iher hands, they are no bigger than her palm. There were three that soared into the air towards the weaponless Nam Ky
Nam Ky: she dodged two out of the three stingers, diving for her sword, but the last one landing in her shoulder. Hissing in pain, she yanked it out, more set then ever to fight, not even feeling the pain as she clashed once more with Sam.
Sam: their swords make impact, and the entire arena seemed to vibrate energy. Their swords moved in and around one another in a flurry of metal and heat.
Nam Ky: moving quickly, Ky swings upwards, moving her sword lighting quick to match Sam's.
Sam: She doesn't move quick enough to avoid the strike, and the sword goes up, clipping the wire on her hearing aid on her left ear. She yelps in pain, dropping her sword and putting a hand to her ear as the world gets distorted, and everything becomes high pitched. She gasps and falls to her knees.
Nam Ky: She drops her sword, realizing what was happening. "Oh my gods, Sam!" she exclaimed, rushing over to her friend, ignoring the bleeding wound from her shoulder. Sam was shaking as Ky tried to get her friend to move her hand from her ear. "Sam, Sam, let me see. "
Sam: Her eyes watering, she moves her hand reluctantly out of the way to reveal her torn hearing aid. Her friend's voice sounded high and weird, like she was on helium and talking under water. The hearing aid's wiring was frayed almost beyond repair. Almost
Nam Ky: she inspects the hearing aid and sighs. "Do you have another one, Sam?" she asks.
Sam: She nods in her haze, and brings out her spare hearing aid, a large clunky one not like the clear plastic ones she had originally. She fumbled to change out the batteries and switch the hearing aids out. She winced as the world screeched back into hearing. She sighed in relief and put a hand to her newly adjusted hearing aid. "Nam Ky." she sighs, exhausted.
Nam Ky: she gives a small, apologetic smile. "Sorry, Sam. I really am. I didn't know I was going to break your hearing aid, I swear it was an accident!" She exclaims, offering Sam a hand up.
Sam: She smiles back, weakly. "It's alright. No monster will stop for me if they break my hearing aids. It was a good shot." she takes Ky's hand and stands up. "But I think I'm going to call this one a day, yeah?"
