[[|Colden Ryusei]] ~ Aide of Winter
Natalia 9

In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take.
She waited for Jack just by the entrance of the fire arena, brandishing a dagger she recently received from a friend. The arena was a bad idea for her, but honing her flexibility and adaptability in surroundings would be something she'd really use in the future. Perhaps for something even sooner.
Character's Bio

Age: Physically 17  Height: 5'7  Weight: 116 lbs
 Sexuality: Straight  Relationship Status: Single
Birth Place: Island of the Horae of Seasons  Main Weapon: Celestial bronze scythe
 Accent: Neutral
 – Everything is totally uncertain.

Character's Powers

Powers of a Daughter of Boreas

Offensive[]

  1. Children of Boreas can create an incredibly cold wind around an opponent, the wind will follow them no matter what for a short time. The wind would make the user feel as if it’s 15 degrees (fahrenheit), distracting them and making them vulnerable to attack.
  2. Children of Boreas have the ability to conjure up to ten long lances of ice which can surge forward and impale an opponent.

Defensive[]

  1. Children of Boreas have the ability to create a dome shaped torrent of wind, roughly two or three times the size of the user, which can be used to block attacks for a very short time.
  2. Children of Boreas can heal themselves by using ice, absorbing frozen energies which can freeze molecules, renew damaged cells, and also stop bleeding. This can be used to quickly heal minor wounds and slowly heal major, but not fatal, wounds. Ice healing only affects children of Boreas, Khione and Ice/Snow Nymphs as they are the only ones who can draw power from the snow.

Passive[]

  1. Children of Boreas are inherently resistant to the cold, including hypothermia and frostbite.
  2. Children of Boreas are inherently stronger during the winter or on any cold days.
  3. Children of Boreas always emit an aura of coldness, making others around them feel slightly cold. The user can shut it off for a long time if they choose to.
  4. Children of Boreas can turn water into ice or make it severely cold with a cool breeze.

Supplementary[]

  1. Children of Boreas have the ability to hover or fly, however, the longer they fly the more it drains them.
  2. Children of Boreas can apply the power of 3rd or 4th degree frostbite to an opponent’s weapon, freezing it to the point that it becomes fragile and easily breakable. It only lasts for a short time, after which the weapon reverts to it’s normal temperature.
  3. Children of Boreas can create armor and weaponry out of ice. The larger the size and quantity of the weapons, the more energy is drained. They can also infuse existing weapons with ice in order to make them stronger.
  4. Children of Boreas can call upon the icy winds in order to speed up their movements and attacks.

3 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Boreas can create a hail storm, with up to baseball size hail for a short time. The storm will produce powerful, freezing winds. The hail will fire in whatever direction the user wishes, the user will be somewhat drained once the storm subsides.

6 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Boreas can create an ice dragon lacking wings, a semi-living construct creature of ice that could be called an ice drake, no larger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user, to fight for them for a short time. This drake attacks with frost breath which can damage and freeze opponents. While the Drake is active, the user has a hard time moving and afterwards must rest between making another one.

9 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Boreas can shed their flesh and transform their bodies into pure cold air which grants them temporarily immunity from attacks as well as drastically enhances their current ice powers. This ability only lasts for a short time and the user will be left heavily drained and unable to move for some time and could possibly faint after the ability dissipates.

Traits[]

  1. Children of Boreas are often ambidextrous, a trait they share with Notus' children.
  2. Children of Boreas have a natural preference for places in the Northern Hemisphere, the further North the better. They also prefer anywhere cold in general.
  3. Children of Boreas are naturally skilled at ice fishing.
  4. Children of Boreas make excellent navigators due to their ability to always find North.

He walked open a couple minute before they planned to meet, seeing Colden there put a smile on his face. He all he had was a short sword in it's sheath at his waist. "Hey there Colden." He offers a side hug. "Ready to get the training going?"

She leaned in the hug. "Ready or not, I have to and I need to." She glances at the smokey area inside. "The fires shock me but, yes, let's do this," she admitted as she sheathed the dagger. "And what's your weapon? Just to make sure I have something fair."

"Well this is somewhat special. I can have it be a short sword or a spear. Up to you if you want to grab something else." He shrugged his shoulders and looked down at her.

"Hmm . . ." She looked up at the sky. "I guess a sword will do all the same. But I'll change it if situation calls for it," she added with a wink. "Ikuzo!" The Japanese language was like her second language, and she'd slip some terms sometimes.

Her change of language caused him to raise his eyebrow, smiling and chuckling. "Alright then." He holds his arm out towards the arena. "Ladies first." He winks back.

She strode into the arena, immediately feeling the rise in temperature. Her skin-tight outfit finally made her uncomfortable, but she had no other clothes to wear that is suited to fight. Jeans give her limited movement, and her loose shirts were just, well, impossible. She stopped in front of a huge Greek temple, and turned to face Jack. "Will this spot be good for a start?"

He looked around assessing the area, nodding his head as he found it appropriate. "This will work just fine." He was only dressed in a long sleeve shirt and shorts with slider under them. He squares of to her and unsheathing his his short sword.

Fight![]

Colden: "Well, then." Out of nowhere around her belt, she pulled out her katana, her most precious weapon, and held it in front of her, gripping it with two hands. "Guess I'm up for this now."

Jack: He grinned and she lowered his stance, holding his sword out in front of him. He takes controlled step towards her and circles to her right. "Good, surprise is never a bad advantage to have."

Colden: She felt nervous, but hey, this was training. There was nothing to worry about. So she ran towards him, then jumping in good balance, falling down with her sword aiming to hit him as she landed.

Jack: As she comes down, he steps into her. He positions his sword to deflect her blow to the side at the same time as he shoves his forearm into her.

Colden: Don't use any power of yours, she chanted in her mind. His forearm pushed her away, skidding on the ground. She stood back up, sword blade behind her, and dashed again at him, aiming for another blow and a bit of swordplay.

Jack: He grinned at her ferocity, some of his battle lust start to set. Training, bruises don't always teach the best lessons. He attempts to parry her strike as she rushes in. He steps to the side and sweeps his leg and he steps away to try and trip her up, possibly having her sprawl out on the ground.

Colden: Guess I can't. She cursed at herself and as soon as he parried, she tumbled up the air and landed behind him, immediately rushing to kick and unbalance him, even for a bit. Probably too heavy for me . . .?

Jack: He stumbles a couple steps, truning and taking a few paces back, still with hiss word in front of him. "Nice reaction, but you must be certain when rushing someone."

Colden: She laughed. "I never had the time to be certain." She charged, sword blade pointing straight at him.

Jack: He attempted to sidestep her jab and retaliate with a couple slaps of the flat of his blade on her arms and shoulders.

Colden: In the last second before getting to him, she put a foot straight in front of her and slid under him, split-secondly getting up to strike him once again from behind.

Jack: He watches her go under and just reacts by stepping forwards and ducking low. He pivots on his heels and rushes back at her, aiming to drive his elbow right into her stomach.

Colden: She was able to place an arm in front of her before his elbow jabbed into her, sending her skidding a metre away. Crap, I think I broke my arm, she thought as pain lacerated up her forearm. Her sword suddenly seemed too heavy for her that she let it fall and disappear. Right about embarrassing.

Jack: His eyes widened as he realises the damage he cause while he made contact. He immediately stood up and help his hands up. "We're done. I didn't mean to hurt you that bad. We'll go to the infirmary to get you healed."

Colden: She waved her good arm. "Ah, no, no. I'm fine. Just made a wrong decision, that's all." The world around her started to grow fuzzy and spin in slow circles, that she had to hold on to Jack for support. She shook her head. "An ambrosia. Yes, an ambrosia would work just fine."

Jack: He loked down at her with concern, wrapping hsi arm around her support her. He reluctantly nodded. "I have some in my pack." He carefully walked her over to the entrance of the arena and set her down, grabbing an ambrosia square and handing it to her. "Here."

Colden: She took the square of ambrosia and thanked Jack. After consuming it, she sighed deeply, burying her face in her hands. "I'm so, so sorry, Jack, Should've been a nice fight . . . " Reckless, reckless, reckless. Ah, I suck.

Jack: He sets his hand lightly on her shoulder. "It's my fault Colden. I was too forceful, I should have held back." He looked away a bit, still upset that he hurt her.

Colden: She looked up at him., then punched his arm with her good one with a smile. "C'mon, you! It's nothing as bad as what I considered least. And it's good to know you didn't hold back. Most of those I train with hold back when I fight against them." A long sigh. "So don't keep your spirits down, you hear me?"

Jack: He showed a small smile. "Alright, but I'd still like to get your arm healed up." He sheathed his sword looking at her for an answer.

Colden: She nodded at him. "Then let's start again." She felt the bones and muscles in her arm twitching with the warm feeling that flowed through it. "Seems like it's getting healed in a moment."

Jack: He nodded back. "Sounds good. Let's hope it doesn't happen again."

Colden: "I hope that much, too." She stood up and patted the dust away from her pants, then flexed her healed arm. "Well, well, looks like it's good to go, don't you think?"

Jack: He looked and nodded. "I agree. And let's keep it that way." He stands up straight. "So, back to sparring?"

Colden: She lightly bobbed her head with a smile. "Sure. Promise, I'll try my best to not let that happened again."

Jack: He smiled back at her and started back to the small arena. "I won't go easier on you as you wish. But, I am going to change it up on you." He clicked something on his sword and the handle started to elongate. He held it up and stamped it into the ground as it reached the full length, now a long bladed spear. He smirked slightly to see her reaction.

Colden: She raised her eyebrows. "A spear. One of the strongest weapons in very long time. Beautiful," she mused. She put a foot backward and reached her right hand out to the side, palm open, and a glaive appeared in it, the Japanese kind. She twirled it above her and set it in Jack's direction, ready for a charge. "Hi."

Jack: He grinned widely as he swung the spear in his hand, tucking the back half under his armpit with the point of the spear angled at the ground. "Prepared for multiple situations with a wider than average arsenal, thinking like a child of a war." He took couple measured steps towards her, square to her position.

Colden: She took the offensive once more. She ran and slid down a couple of metres away from Jack, swiping a foot in front of her in a wide arc, sending dust to rise between them. In a split-second after, she thrust her glaive at Jack's position.

Jack: He barely caught sight of the blade. He managed to side step far enough that only his shirt and the top of his skin was caught. He light sting came from the cut. He spung his spear back, knocking hers aside followed but a wide, downward cut to the left.

Colden: She had avoided the downward cut, but her polearm wasn't that lucky. His weapon's shaft got hold of her weapon and pushed it down to the ground. She put her might into carrying both weapons up,to throw his into an unbalancing fall, followed with another thrust.
