Offensive[]
  1. Children of Rhea have the ability to shoot small sharp pieces of rocks from their palms for a short time, the longer they use this, the more energy it drains.
  2. Children of Rhea have the ability to generate minor earthquakes, causing anyone within the immediate vicinity to lose their balance.
Defensive[]
  1. Children of Rhea have the ability to summon a thick wall of earth, roughly 2 to 3 times the size of the user, that dulls attacks coming to it on contact. The larger and longer the wall is used, the more it drains the user.
  2. Children of Rhea have the ability to create quicksand or pits around a small area for a short time. Over time it will slowly solidify, allowing anyone stuck in it to slowly regain their footing.
Passive[]
  1. Children of Rhea can "feel" nature and the elements. They can feel for all biomes (forests, deserts, tundras, wetlands, mountains, etc). A tree naturally falling or predator catching their prey in a near by forest would be felt by the user, leaving them feeling calmly relieved. Unnaturally, would leave the user sickened. They can detect natural changes as well (raise in temperature, humidity, etc).
  2. Children of Rhea have the innate ability to see through the flow of generations of each person, enabling them to see (in both past and future) their appearances and genealogy. However, the further they perceive, the more it becomes obscure and energy it drains from them.
  3. Children of Rhea can sense the fertility of women, when they are pregnant, what the state of the baby's health is and what sex they are.
  4. Children of Rhea have the innate ability to talk plants to life, either making them grow more quickly or bringing them back from a recent death.
  5. Children of Rhea are more powerful when surrounded by pure Earth, especially when up in the mountains.
  6. Children of Rhea can live in very high-up conditions where the air is thin, high air-pressure and high cold tolerance, and an immunity to the effects of vertigo or similar cases as well as the ability to move on the mountains without artificial help.
Supplementary[]
  1. Children of Rhea can move, shape and otherwise manipulate any "earthen" elements, including most solid objects, specifically all minerals and mineral compositions regardless of their state (mountain, boulder, sand or dust), dirt and soil. They cannot, however, make any object or weapon that is larger than the user, nor control any man-made materials.
  2. Children of Rhea are able to heal minor wounds when touching dirt or rock.
  3. Children of Rhea can use dirt, mud, rock, stone, etc. to teleport anywhere on Earth. The user merges with the earth beneath them and reforms elsewhere. The further they travel the more energy it drains.
  4. Children of Rhea have the ability to slightly calm the minds of everyone near them, no matter what side they are on.
3 Months After Character is Made[]
  1. Children of Rhea are able to create armor around them from earthen materials, such as stone, crystal, soil, and mud, for a short time. The armor's appearance can vary from person to person, but they often have a theme of defense and durability to them. The longer they maintain the armour the more energy it drains.
6 Months After Character is Made[]
  1. Children of Rhea are now able to control the flow of generation to cause someone or themselves to age significantly, either turning them younger or older, which can be used in a multitude of purposes. The longer they maintain them in either way, the more energy it drains from them.
9 Months After Character is Made[]
  1. Children of Rhea have the ability to transform into a lion, granting them heightened senses and enhanced physique. The longer they retain this form, the more energy it drains and the more time they need to rest between transformations.
Traits[]
  1. Children of Rhea tend to exhibit parental attitudes, making them excellent parents and even strong leaders.
  2. Children of Rhea are skilled in comforting others and bringing them to ease.
  3. Children of Rhea usually prefer or enjoy being outside, or in natural settings.
  4. Children of Rhea make excellent genealogists, as their mother was the Titan of generation.
History
It was an awful evening, the day Karim was born. A cold evening in 1931, an awful blizzard spread through the village on the edge of civilisation. His mother Elaheh, died of complications surrounding hypothermia and frostbite lying in her small home, the bed soaked with her blood. The baby boy came out crying bloody murder and being handed toward his aunt who cooed to him softly, the circumstances of his birth supposedly heralding a tragic life. This would come to pass as throughout Karim’s childhood his village was plagued by illness, famine and suffering. Men, women and children all fell victim to the merciless wave of nature - bodies being piled up and buried in mass graves.

Karim was cunning and smart, however, and managed to survive. Even as a child he helped bring food, firewood and water to the village but his true passion was reading and writing. Soon, the villagers discovered his talent for words and began saving up, in secret, to send him to Tehran for university. Karim was most interested in the field of medicine and would frequently help any sick people in the village or anyone who’d gotten injured. The care wasn’t perfect but it was the best he could provide, in turn this encouraged the village to support him, any little money they could spare went into the fund to send him to Tehran.

Eventually the day came, in 1948 when seventeen-year-old Karim was finally sent away. He enrolled in Tehran University of Medical Sciences and was hastily accepted due to a lack of applicants as a consequence of the second world war. In the following years Karim worked relentlessly until, finally, in 1952 he graduated top of his class and became a qualified doctor. Now, most people would simply take a cushy job and live a regular life after this but...Karim thought better. Instead, he went back to his hometown and helped build a hospital and school to better treat and educate the people there. He used his medical expertise to help cure the illness which had frequently swept the village in waves. Eventually, more people caught on to this and he was invited to London to receive a humanitarian award. Once received, he invested the prize money into a charity where he assisted many other villages to build schools and hospitals and advocate for a better quality of life for them.

Karim decided to take a cushy job in a London hospital, not because he was tired with helping but in order to raise more money to put into his charity. He took the bare minimum he required to live off and put the rest back into it where countless lives were improved and saved. He would never stop until no one had to go through what he went through. One evening in 1954, he got invited to dinner by a fellow charity organiser: Sita Gazdar. In reality, she was the goddess Rhea and was intrigued by Karim and his...selfless attitude toward life. The dinner was...interesting. Sita was definitely overdressed for the occasion, whereas Karim was underdressed - the two were almost complete opposites yet...there was something about them that clicked. Soon, the two began a relationship which wasn’t anything particularly special but it was clear that the two loved each other despite their differences.

Then...Sita left. Karim was heartbroken but this simply spurred him on to continue his work, at the start of 1955 his charity was one of the most prolific in the world. It was then that he got a shock, a daughter. Sita left her to him with no explanation other than that the baby was his daughter and she couldn’t explain why she left. It was clear from a first look that she was his daughter, his hair, his eyes, his smile. He took her in his arms, much like his aunt did on the day of his birth and named her Janan.

Janan grew up loved, there’s no question about that. Her father adored her while also teaching her all about the culture of his village and his experiences growing up. Luckily, she didn’t have to go through that. She went to a British primary school, being bullied and ridiculed frequently for her race but her father was always there for her. She struggled with school, the hallmark of being a demigod which attracted the attention of her teacher Louise Martin who decided to tell Karim this at her next parent-teacher meeting.

Louise, herself, was a demigod. A daughter of Mnemosyne and had figured out how to identify demigods based on their reading/writing - it was part of the reason she took the job, she wanted to protect them from the monsters that would prey on them later in life. At this time Janan was eleven, she was almost about to move on to secondary school when her first monster attack occurred. It wasn’t anything extraordinary, a rogue harpy flew down and tried to pick her up only to be stopped by the sharp slash of Louise’s hidden sword. The rest of the children just saw Miss Martin saving Janan from a bee, nothing out of the ordinary but a young Janan was traumatised and begged Louise to explain what happened.

Demigod, it was a strange word and Janan could hardly believe it. Neither could Karim yet, when Louise explained everything about the Gods and their...tendencies, nothing could help everything from clicking into place. The only question now was, who was Sita? Louise recommended camp but Karim objected, he wasn’t sending his daughter over to America, so far away. Louise was conflicted but ultimately took Janan under her wing, teaching her about the world of demigods and monsters.

Janan flourished under Louise’s tutelage, the monster attacks continued but Janan began relying less and less on Louise to protect her, taking it into her own hands. She also became much better at school, especially after Louise taught her a way to almost...bypass her hardwired Greek brain. Janan became increasingly interested in politics and environmental causes, it was this that began to remind Karim of her mother. Sita’s charity was dedicated to helping the environment and nature, preserving it for future generations. It was then when Janan announced her intent to stand for election to the House of Commons where Rhea claimed her, the Great Mother and Queen of the Titans.

Janan lost her first few elections until fate turned in her favour. In 1978, after she had graduated university with a degree in politics, philosophy and economics, the current MP for her constituency died of a fatal cardiac arrest which led to a by-election. After a quick bout of clever political manoeuvring, Janan won by a landslide and found herself a new seat in parliament. However, in the words of her father, “Sitting idle doesn’t suit you”, Janan wanted to be there, she wanted to do something, anything and the current political system didn’t respect her enough. She lasted a few years as MP while also attending university again for another degree this time in environmental studies and ecology.

When she graduated university, she resigned. She was done playing games for an establishment that didn’t listen to her and instead went into activism and environmental humanitarianism. This was where she was meant to be and she wouldn’t let anyone tell her otherwise. She attended protests, marches, anything which would help get their voices heard. She founded an organisation called the “Universal Green League” which was dedicated to preserving the planet and aiding those harmed by the capitalist engine which took and took without giving anything back. In 1987 she met a man named Ranjan Tavade and the two became close companions fighting against what they thought was unjust. Their relationship kept increasing in intensity, especially after both of them were arrested for participating in a protest gone south.

That being said, they’d both agreed never to become intimate. Janan wasn’t interested in that, instead, she wanted a partner for their brain not what was in their pants. Thus, when she became pregnant she was well...shocked. Maybe she was the virgin Mary? Instead, Ranjan came clean and admitted to being Athena albeit in a slightly less conventional form. Janan understood what this meant and bade them goodbye recieving a handwritten note to give to their child whenever they came of age.

In 1990, Krish was born. A light within Janan’s life, she’d never loved someone as much as she loved him even her activism. That said, she couldn’t leave it behind. So, she ran for MP again and won. During this stint she made the Universal Green League a legitimate organisation - no longer branded as an ‘activist group’ or even ‘eco-terrorists’ by some particularly right-wing politicians. Tragedy struck in 1994, when within several months both her father Karim and her mentor Louise died leaving her alone with her four-year-old son. It was then when Athena/Ranjan appeared to her again - promising they’d always be with them. The next year, her second child TBD was born.

Janan continued her work as MP, occasionally being given roles in the cabinet but never one with any substance or power. Eventually, she was struck with the same decision her father had to make - allow her children to go to camp in America or train them herself. On one hand, she enjoyed her life in London but…she needed a change and what was a better excuse? In 2002, she along with her two children moved to New York where she got a job as a British diplomat in the embassy. This allowed both of her children to go to camp while also allowing her do continue her work in aiding society - her first passion in life.

Her children’s stories aren’t her’s to tell, both of them became successful in their own way which brings us to now. After being told about New Athens, Janan resigned from her position in the embassy. She was getting old and even her children knew it. She deserved some peace and quiet in the twilight years of her life. Krish encouraged her to get a nice cottage and live the rest of her life there but...Janan being Janan instead became one very vocal person and instead has taken a job helping in the operation of New Athens.
Personality
At first glance, Janan just looks like a proper older lady - polite, compassionate and will probably bake you cookies. This isn't completely incorrect, at least for the people she holds dear (namely her sons), however, Janan takes zero nonsense and isn't afraid to speak her mind whenever she feels like some fuckery is going on. Her time in politics, academia and the activist scene has toughened her up turning her into the confident and headstrong woman she is today. Janan is overall an extremely stubborn woman, unable to take no for an answer. If she wants something done she will see it through. Relentless and driven, even her own children can't control her once she has her eyes on a goal. Despite her age, Janan maintains a keep intellect and memory as well as being able to smite you from afar with a simple disappointed death glare.
