There was once a little orphan so poor, people made fun of him. If it weren't for public schools, he couldn't even afford education. One night, the bullying has been pushed to the edge. The other boys dragged what seemed like a petite dog to the park, but it was no petite dog. The orphaned little boy was nearly beaten to death in the local playground until a little girl suddenly appeared. She threw what seemed like rocks to the others while extending her arms in front of the orphaned boy to seem a gesture that she will protect him. The little boy mouthed words telling her to leave for he has been used to the pain, but she would not waver. The other boys pitied the beautiful little girl and left, saying they will get him another day. The poor orphan was then unconscious. At an unconscious state, little did the orphan knew he was being healed by drops of fresh dew. The little girl sat on the park bench and laid his head across her thigh as she tended to his wounds. She clearly had to protect him, seeing no one else would. It would be such a waste of a life, thus she transformed herself into a little angel. She then reverted to her original form as she took him to the foster care's door steps, what he calls a home. She gave him a little kiss on the forehead before someone took him in with a sigh. The next night, the little boy went to find his angel in the park. After two hours of failing to find her, tears streamed down his cheeks which made the little girl come out from hiding. She introduced herself as his new friend, but also told him she could only come out at night. No one knew where the little boy had went at night, but then again, no one cared. For a month, the two played together until the little girl foretold her absence. She told the boy she was leaving, moving out of town. Knowing this will not be the last time he would see her, the little boy took out a little ring. No, it was no made of gold, silver, or precious gems; but it was made out of artificial strawberry and plastic, bought by love---a candy ring. He spent a while trying to hide his extra money from the bullies and starvation, but it was worth it. He promised to the little girl he would protect her for she had protected him. Even if they were little kids, he held it towards the little girl asking her to love him forever. He was embarrassed for giving her such a cheap gift, so he ended up promising her a real one soon. The little girl replied a tearful nod as she took the ring with both hands. Before she departed, she also promised that they would see each other again; Whatever it takes, on the exact day after 17 years of separation. The little boy kept this in his heart as he strived to succeed. He wanted to live. Seventeen years later, the little boy was now know as Cash Blazer, a prominent CEO in the hardware division. Much has changed in Cash, now he always spent time in his work, forgetting about anything else. All his life, he was bullied due to his financial status and he wanted to change that. He wanted his children to have a better life than what he has been through before, thus striving very hard. At the age of 27, he was able to establish his own company which had expanded into one of the elite competitors. He was also featured in some magazines to persuade people to reach for their dreams. Unfortunately, he was too workaholic. He couldn't get his mind off work without having something important in exchange for it, not until the day of nostalgia. What Cash never forgotten was the little girl he had met seventeen long years ago. As planned, he went to the same park despite his meeting scheduled in China. He wore his best tuxedo and had a little box in his hand, a 32-karat diamond ring. He sat alone on the same bench for two hours, waiting until he heard a voice from above. Startled, he saw the kind smile and the same brownish blonde hair he has left in memories seventeen years ago. The first thing show off her little red ring to him, which made Cash more sure who she was. He immediately knelt down and opened the box for her, asking her to marry him without any question; yet he was crushed. The beautiful woman revealed herself as "Pandia," the goddess of the moon and dew. She told Cash she had loved him, but she couldn't marry him, a mere mist-seeing mortal man. Many questions and regrets ran through Cash's mind. He has worked so hard just to show Pandia his love. He worked so hard just so he could protect her. He worked so hard so they could start a family of their own. All those years of earning money, wasted. He couldn't accept defeat and pleaded Pandia, saying he would do anything even burn his riches to be with her. Pandia's answer was strictly a "no." Pandia saw how this crushed Cash and decided to spend the night with him, to comfort him. Nine months later, Cash came back to the park to recollect his children, twin boys. She gave Cash a green dew drop pendant and a red cap for their children. Pandia wanted to name one Koray while the other Lorence, but these names where too uheard of for these parts, thus forming the name Kevin Koray and Asher Lorence. In public, Kevin and Asher; at home, Koray and Lorence. The two grew up rarely seeing their father and when they did, their father would rush more towards Lorence, leaving Kevin alone. His father loved the fact Asher looked more like himself. Kevin would often stay outside playing alone as he heard laughter of both his twin brother and father. Like a glass separating the two and the distance grows by day. Asher was loved more by Cash, but Kevin was loved more by his mother. At a young age, his mother swept into his dreams, letting him see her and Cash's love story. One in a while, Koray would also be visited by his mother, learning the truth earlier than his twin. He would even be comforted by his mother who changed At the age of 8, he woke up to find a steel bladed yoyo with a five foot string as an extra weapon from his mother. At the age of 13, he found a camera lying on his bed. Kevin knew it was from someone special, but never knew how to say it. Kevin did all he could to gain his father's look, yet failed. At school, Kevin was adored. It seemed as though the teachers love him, so did the girls—even boys. His grades were always at the top, he didn't experience ADHD. He became the swimming and gymnastic team's captain. He became the top student in his school, succeeding over Asher's poor grades. He became taekwondo ace as well, wielding weapons easily. He practiced also tried modeling for teenage girl magazines. How it pulvurized his heart when nothing ever worked; though until today, he doesn't give up. His creativity was greatly admired. He was always called to plan for events and the best one he was prepared was the Valentines Dance, one everyone remembered. He always joined art contests. He was even the journalism club's photographer. What no one knew was Kevin would sneak out at night just to see the world. He would do dangerous things such as riding a motorcycle recklessly, bungee-jumping, hang gliding, moonlight surfing. He always knew no one would care. He was even attacked by two empousais posing as hostesses, but blessedly, his pendant transformed into twin swords which he used to cut off their heads. He wasn't afraid nor did he run away afterwards. His monster attacks grew every year, yet he always managed. Kevin used to be very close to his brother. They comforted each other and played games with each other. They walked home from school together. The dining table was not lonely any more without their father. Even if he always compared himself to him, he always wanted to stand out and take attention. Asher, however, was trying to make his father turn to Kevin, yet it never happened. Things changed especially after Kevin's first crush. How painful Kevin's first crush was, he didn't regret a little piece of it. Thanks to that girl, the pushed himself forward. He learned new skills and thought of plans to impress her. He even planned a whole month in advance if ever she became his, making him love planning as well. She inspired him to take pictures, his hidden love which everyone remarks until today. Unfortunately for him, he rarely came home early and always took pictures with her. He also came in school late and his grades dropped from A to B+ His brother also developed feelings for the girl, tearing their brotherhood a bit farther. However, love is quite blind, isn't it? As time passed by, Kevin noticed Charlene took more and more pictures. While she was away, he took her camera into his hands and flipped through what she caught. The pictures were more of his twin brother which made him depressed. His father preferred Asher more, his crush preferred Asher more; if his mother was here, he reassured himself that she would also love him more. Seeing Charlene love Asher more, he decided to not interfere and move his way towards an all boy's boarding school in New York while supporting himself by selling his paintings and taking a scholarship. His father accept his leave, as expected. He had pride in not taking money from his father. However, Asher wasn't happy that his older brother suddenly left him. Kevin lived a happy life in the dorms and was even kidnapped. Everyone knew he was good kid. He usually smiled off and became the class clown/weirdo. He was also loved for his excellent planning skills, as well as his creativity. He still has undecided feelings towards Charlene. As soon as he thought he got over her, his feelings came back for they shared something together—photography. Fortunately, the school was visited by two scouts by the name of Cody Knight and Zayden Tanberry for the school fair. They noticed Kevin having dew drip from his hands as he tended to a dead rose behind the curtain. They told him he was special and he believed them, but refused to go with the thought of women being in camp. The two looked at each other before giving an evil grin. Kevin was immediately kidnapped by Cody Knight and locked in the boy's rest room by him. Cody went off to find Kevin's room with no problem as he tossed and packed his items. Zayden Tanberry proceeded to the school main frame and made fake calls urging Kevin to come home immediately and continue classes on-line; the prestigious school was fooled by the son of Apate's excellent forgery. Zayden also disguised himself as Kevin for a while of time, making the school see him leave their doors with his luggage. Meanwhile, Cody took Kevin and silenced him, literally. When the coast was clear, he made Kevin enter the car. Even if he was trained strong, he couldn't beat two demigods who clearly have been trained more than him. They took him to camp immediately. Entering camp grounds, he took out his camera and started to take pictures; nature was beautiful, but there was someone more than the nature he loved. Despite forcing himself not to have another problem with women, he was too vulnerable to think. He was awe-struck when the lens paused to a smile; his lips and eyes parted, his heart pounded. He zoomed out slowly until he saw the face of his "mystery girl." He couldn't do anything as the shutter captured the beauty in, so did his heart: Her beautiful blonde hair unbound by the wind. Her eyes that shimmered with the sun. Her smile, the only feature he remembers from the girl who comforted him in his dreams, was a perfect match; Never has he felt the warmth of such a beautiful smile, but it was not for long. He blinked once he realized he was hearing a heavenly choir behind and hallucinating hearts everywhere: a trick of Apate, maybe? No, it was Eros and Aphrodite, the mother and son duo. His girl was engulfed in a sea of people. He fell to his knees with a camera in hand, letting out a big smile and running his other hand through his hair before coming to a pause. No, this is not a joke. At once glance, he has fallen for his "mystery" girl and now dedicates himself to find her no matter how long it takes. He will not easily let her go. He find her and show his love in due time. |
