Roulette is the creation of Persephone and Aphrodite, a flower spirit - or more specifically, a rose spirit - created in 3095 BCE. During his time in Ancient Greece, Roulette was more formally known as Chrysanthos, taught the people of Athens how to plant and tend for their gardens while spreading joy throughout the people, planting roses so the mortals can gift them to their loved ones. However, a jealous man came upon him one night and assaulted him, beating him to death. In his remaining moments, Chrysanthos called out to his creators for mercy. The goddesses heard him and turned him into a rose for a thousand years, planting him in a secret garden near Camp. Upon awakening, Chysanthos remembered nothing and his creators led him to Camp to spend the rest of his days in sanctuary.
After spending a few years in Camp, Roulette felt himself becoming weaker and left to plant more roses throughout the Earth under the name of Rowan LeBeau, a Greek-French boy that moved from Greece, to France, to America and helped plant based nymphs and spirits plant more trees, flowers, fruits and vegetables. Once he felt his work was plentiful, he returned to Camp.

Personality
True that he is amnesic, Roulette is a cheerful and gentle soul. He thinks everyone is a friend he hasn't met yet and loves finding other people with the same interests as he does. Though, he can be a bit sarcastic and stuck up, it's mostly due to his child-like demeanour and chemistry. Yet Roulette is growing to become more mature due to his life experiences and conversations with other campers about their own experiences through the Earth
Since returning to Camp from being out in the real world, Roulette has learned how to read an write in English and has become fluent in both English and French. Since Aphrodite is one of his creators, the language came especially easy to him and works with the Aphrodite and Eros campers with French. Roulette has learned to pick and choose the people he wants to be around - despite having an optimistic mindset - and learned that not everyone would want to be his friend. That won't mean he won't try. If they become a threat, Roulette would keep his distance and, if push comes to shove, fight back.
As an avid music lover, you might just catch Roulette dancing to music on his iPod or his phone in his living quarters or even in the rain. Speaking of which, the spirit loves rain and splashing in puddles or in the mud, but as soon as he hears thunder, Roulette will retreat inside as he fears thunder due to its loud clap and intimidation. And for some unknown reason, he also fears dying or being on the edge of death. The thought absolutely scares him and hates seeing anyone die.
History
Around 3095 BC in Ancient Greece, there came a period of the mortals' lives where romance was blooming. Love was in the air, and that was a time where partners gave their lovers a gift; a rose. As much as Aphrodite or Persephone didn't mind flowers to be given to mortals as gifts, it was how they mistreated them that filled them with worry. Plucking off the petals, not giving the poor flowers water, etc. So, when spring rolled around, the two goddesses created a flower spirit, Chrysanthos, guardian of the roses. Persephone gave him the task of watching the flowers and help the mortals with keeping them alive, and as for Aphrodite, she gave Chrysanthos the task of befriending and teaching the mortals how to garden. With his tasks set in mind, Chrysanthos complied.
It wasn’t difficult for Chrysanthos, Aphrodite blessed him with beautiful, youthful looks and generous personality. Persephone, with the help of Athena, blessed him with the knowledge of gardening, social skills, and how mortals acted. Chrysanthos was loved by some, but envious by most, since people thought he was perfect, but in reality, Chrysanthos was nothing more than a childish boy inside a grown adult body. But, as he grew, the more mature he became. He had fears and flaws just like anyone else. He messed up sometimes, and he failed sometimes, but it was a learning process that helped him grow stronger.
Since Chrysanthos could never age, he taught mortals of planting and taking care of gardens for many years, and it grew pretty large enough that he had a small class of people - children to adults - who were taught by him. Many people were thrilled about the outcomes of their gardens, he did make a few enemies, but it wasn’t his fault. A group of reckless kids came by one night and destroyed gardens out of dark humor. When Chrysanthos tried to sort things out, the kids merely spit in his face and ran, laughing. Chrysanthos mourned for the plants, but he realized that the kids didn’t ruin a particular garden - a garden of various plants, and even, roses. With hope in mind, the town helped each other fix their gardens, and eventually sought out the group of kids who destroyed the gardens.
When Chysanthos was 3,000 years old, just as things were brightening up for the boy, a young man named Joshua grew so envious of how Chysanthos looked, how he was loved, and his personality, that he became stand off-ish and crude to Chrysanthos. And one night, Joshua finally had enough of the rose spirit and his beauty, so, as Chysanthos was tending his garden of roses, he snuck up behind him and beat him up, so his body was covered in bruises and cut. Chrysanthos desperately tried to escape, but his attacker was stronger than him. Punching Chrysanthos in the stomach to keep him still, the man raped him. The man watched as Chrysanthos sobbed and pleaded to let him go. When he tried to call out for help, the man slapped him harshly and covered his mouth. Finishing, he watched Chysanthos whimper, sob and quiver in place for a few minutes, enjoying the scene, before grabbing a brick, and slamming it down to his skull, letting him bleed out slowly.
As the man began to escape, Persephone and Aphrodite grew furious that someone would do that. So, the goddesses cursed him as punishment. Persephone’s curse was he grew thorns on his body and felt like he was stepping on thorns, and Aphrodite’s curse was he looked disgusting in other people’s eyes. As Chysanthos was dying, he begged and pleaded to his creators to help him - to save him. Both goddesses pitied him, and so, Aphrodite requested Apollo to heal him. And since this is not was Persephone had in mind for the spirit, she requested Mnemosyne to have his memory wiped. Once both deeds have been done, Persephone turned Chysanthos in a rose, and he slept for 1,000 years, Persephone moving the rose in a more safer haven.
When the spirit turned back to human form, he had no clue where he was, nor who he was. All he knew was who created him and what he was. As the boy wandered around, Aphrodite appeared before him. She spoke to the boy, telling his name was Roulette and he was very close to a place where he would be safe from any harm. As it turns out, where Roulette was moved, he was very close to a camp called Camp Half Blood. Roulette’s eyes brightened, excited to go to this place. Aphrodite helped lead him to the haven, to Camp Half Blood. Roulette felt like he was walking for ages, but finally, he arrived.
After spending his years within the borders of Camp, Roulette felt himself becoming weak and dying. In a panic, he packed his things and left, thinking it was the flora of the Camp dying, but Persephone came to him once he was a few minutes outside of Camp. She told him that the Earth was dying and it needed his help. With a determined mindset, he left to help with Persephone guiding him to his first mission: to stop the tear down of the forest.
Roulette took the name of Rowan LeBeau to avoid any suspicions about his original name. Meeting up with a group of nature and animal nymphs and spirits, his group was able to convince the construction men about the dying of the Earth and the destruction of the homes of the wildlife. Roulette and his group were able to rebuild the forest by growing new sturdy trees and wild flowers. But his work didn't stop there.
Spending a few months in America, travelling from state to state, Roulette made his departure to Europe to do the same thing, and then Africa along with a few islands and to Asia, enjoying his work to get the Earth to thrive and felt himself becoming healthier and stronger.
A few years went by and Roulette found himself in Canada, just on the edge of New York. In his motel room, the spirit asked his creators if he could go back to Camp, and Aphrodite replied that he could, and with glee, he returned.
