Appearance: Tsurugi is like the female version of her father with fair skin and dark brown almond shaped eyes. Her hair is originally black but she dyes it blonde when homeschooled. She kept her hair tied in a ponytail or a twin tail so it won't get in her way in combat. There is a scar on her left side of her forehead from an accident. The type of clothing she wore is sporty as it helps her move freely. Back home she used wore colorful outfits but tones down to two colors to not get spotted quickly by monsters
Personality: Tsurugi is the type of girl who wants to get the job done such in her art. She is eager and creative, traits she inherit from her father. Despite being homeschooled, she is quite friendly and active. Although she is obedient, she sometimes act snarky if someone being rude to her. Being curious, quirky, and analytical can be her flaws as it sometimes made her nosy. Staying alone made her sad sometimes but sometimes gives her focus on her task
History:
Tadachi Hirose is work as a comic artist. His comics are well known that they have appeared at comic conventions many times. In one of his convention visits, he met a woman named Valencia. He found her intriguing from her style and how she knows the color references placed there that are hard to notice by most people. The two continue to chat about the comic before Tadachi asked her if she can meet him at his place to model for a new character in his comic to which she answer yes. Upon the day of the meeting, Tadachi and Valencia was able to get to know each other during modeling. After a month, the two eventually made love but Valencia is gone by the next day. Saddening Tadachi was a letter with a rainbow colored seal which reads
To Tadachi,
I'm so sorry that I will no longer see you as I have an important role to carry back home. But I will return to you at the same day we meet next year for something important. They will tell you what is to come by the time they grew older. When that day comes, they need some guidance from people that will help them. I hope you will take care of them

Tadachi has no clue what is she talking about but hesitantly decided to trust her. A year later at the day they met, Tadachi found Valencia at his hotel room with a baby in her arms. He wanted to ask her many questions but Valencia place a finger on her mouth to tell him to be quiet before placing the baby on the bed. Valencia explained she can't tell him much but she knows that he is smart enough to figure it out and wanted him to take care of their daughter. Tadachi pick up the baby and take a look to decide on his answer. Upon seeing her closely, he decided will take care of her as she caress her head. Tadachi guessed Valencia's name is not her real name and she is someone dangerous. The woman answered him a maybe and a no. She hand him a fountain pen with a note for their daughter's safety. Tadachi opened the note and nodded. She decide to accompany him to the lobby for him to book out to avoid giving scandal and claim her and the child as his relatives if anyone ask. Once they went to the parking lot, Valencia asked him what will he name their daughter as it seems fair as he is her father. He decide to name her Tsurugi, Japanese for sword and from the phrase "A pen is mightier than sword" after seeing the fountain pen. Her last words for him was that his new character is wonderful and she looked forward for their daughter doing amazing art like him.
Years of taking care of Tsurugi, Tadachi followed the note given to him and made sure that Tsurugi is safe. He noticed how Tsurugi take interest in his comics and decide to teach her the importance of how to make a comic. Tsurugi participated in art competitions in her school and earn a few medals from his teaching. She made some friends but she will not meet them often when she is 14.
When Tadachi needs to leave for an interview, he hired a babysitter to watch over her. The sitter arrived when Tadachi start his car and told her that he listed rules on what Tsurugi must follow including not touching his comic character's clacker balls made by a fan because of an accident. The truth about the sitter is she is an empousa. The creature found Tsurugi's location when she went out of the house early morning to take a picture of the sunrise with a phone, an item in the note that she should not have, given by her friend as gift.
The empousa revealed herself when Tadachi is miles away and Tsurugi's first instinct is to run. She went to her dad's office to grabbed the clacker balls from the drawer in panic. Hesitant to use them after her accident, she decided to use them as a distraction to find a suitable weapon to kill the monster. With sheer luck, she was able to use them and hit the creature before she run quickly but it didn't do much damage for it is made out of regular metal, denting them. She quickly reach to the kitchen to get a knife to stab her and pick up the fountain pen left there as she assumed it was her father's. Empousa arrive there quick, ready to end her. Tsurugi grabbed a kitchen knife and pointed at her to intimidate her which made the empousa laughed for her stupidity. Gripping the pen tight to suppress her fear as the empousa is ready to strike her, the gripping somehow trigger the pen to transform into a sword, piercing the empousa when she got startled by the transformation. Tsuragi quickly use the sword to decapitate her in panic before she turn to dust.
While in the wave of panic, she heard the doorbell and check through the peephole to see her neighbor, a paraplegic man. The neighbor decide to watch over until her father arrives. Tadachi arrived home to a shaken Tsurugi, hugging him and blaming herself from destroying his clacker balls. The neighbor had a private chat with her father as Tsurugi contemplate about what just happened. Tadachi went to check on Tsurugi and comfort her. He told her everything is fine and she will be homeschooled when she turn 15 next week, lying it is a norm for Japanese. The truth is that neighbor is a satyr and he informed Tadachi that Tsurugi must not stay here longer. Tadachi wanted to spend a year with his daughter and agreed she will be sent away when she is 16.
The phone that Tsurugi use was smash by Tadachi with a hammer to ensure her safety but that doesn't stop the monsters from trying to find her. When Tsurugi is 16, she began packing at early morning to head to a place that her neighbor told her father. The neighbor decided to take her to place himself to ensure Tadachi's safety. Tadachi gives his daughter a good bye hug before the neighbor summoned the Grey Sisters' Taxi to head to their destination. The neighbor revealed his true self to Tsurugi as he get in the vehicle. Tsurugi is a bit shock by this and the sisters but shrugged it off a bit as it feels like she is in one of her father's comics. When they reach Half-Blood Hill, the satyr hands her a gift box and instructs that she should open it when they reach the camp.
On their way to the camp, a harpy attack them and injured Tsurugi. She quickly use her sword against the creature but it is too quick to strike for her. The satyr toss the box at Tsurugi to open is as whatever inside can help her. The gift reveals to be Celestial Bronze clacker balls to which she used it to bid the harpy so she can stab it. Tsurugi taken to the infirmary of Camp Half-Blood for her injuries where the satyr explains her why is she here.

- Children of Iris have the ability to conjure a weapon out of pure rainbows which can be used for combat; however, only one weapon can be conjured at a time and it can only be up to 2 or 3 times the size of the user.
- Children of Iris have the ability to focus an intense beam of prismatic light which will burn anything it touches.

- Children of Iris are able to create a protective dome of rainbows for a short time.
- Children of Iris have the ability to conjure a large orb made of pure rainbows around an opponent. The orb would successfully imprison an opponent for a short time. The orb is quite durable, but could be broken through with sufficient force. The orb cannot be teleported out of. The target cannot be attacked while the orb is in place, so the power is purely defensive. It can only be used twice in a battle.

- Children of Iris are stronger whenever a rainbow can be seen in the sky.

- Children of Iris are able to "rainbow" travel, where they can travel into a rainbow and come out somewhere else, similar to an iris message, but instead of only being able to talk, the child of Iris can actually use it to teleport themselves
- Children of Iris have the ability to split the light of a rainbow into seven beams which can be redirected in order to light an area or even blind people.
- Children of Iris can bend or shift light particles to create a mirage for a specific time. Since Iris could be considered a light goddess. The mirage will not differentiate from friend or foe. The longer or the greater the mirage is, the more energy is drained.
