Aristaeus came to Elyzabeth Mindi early in the morning. It was late one night that Elyizabeth found she couldn't make it alone, was it that next morrow, at four in the morn that her graceful salvation came? Aristaeus came to her, she knew not who he was, but he lifted her from the snow, and carried her against her will. Yet still, not that she cared, she was with emptiness filled. Aristaeus fine build was the only thing Elyzabeth could feel as she floated drunk-like in his guarding arms. She only could remember the angel that visited her upon that early morn, or as it were the night oh so late.
Nine hard months later, filled with counseling, and praying to a God she didn't think existed, Elyzabeth gave birth to a son, whom she named Jager. The date was 12 December 1966, his birth was calm, cold in the lowly hospital in the common wealth town in Ireland. Jager grew like a normal child, however his mother, described as a harlot and a whore was made an outcast of the society, and Elyzabeth had to clothe Jager herself, fend for herself and her son, and keep him safe from the other children and adults.
Yet as time continued, Elyzabeth loved the child not, she turned to drink, and to selling herself to make money. Upon one night when Jager was five, she met with a man whom had no name known to anyone, and he slept with her, leaving a note for the child, Jager, on his cot on the floor. Jager continued to love his mother, always forgiving her faults for she played his sympathy on her and made him sympathetic to her outcasting, instead of allowing him to live the life of a child like it should have been. Then, Elyzabeth, upon one chilly night, sent Jager with some travelers who went by the name McVuraghkel to live in an orphanage in the southern-most part of Ireland.
Upon arriving at the orphanage, Jager was left in the orphanage with the surname Mindi, but a slip of the tongue left him with a new name, Mindikel, and Jager, Jager Mindikel, was born anew. There at the orphanage was a woman named Mikiyeela, she was the caretaker of the children, Jager spent month after month by Mikiyeela because the kids all bullied him, called him names and made fun of him. However season after season those kids left and Jager stayed with Mikiyeela, whom he called Miki (Micky). As Jager grew, Miki showed him to sew, stitch, to knit, to iron, to press and to dress as proper as possible. At an early age, he began wearing suit-like attire as much as he could afford with odd jobs and Miki's meager government pensions for her orphanage. Jager soon reached the age of eleven, and he began to see strange things at night, and as he neared twelve, he saw strange things he couldn't explain during the day. Upon reaching twelve Jager was attacked by a harpy, but, as he was always with Miki, Miki killed it and revealed herself to be a satyress in the guise of Jager's beloved boot-clad, long-skirted orphanage caretaker.
When all of the children were gone from the orphanage the next month, Miki took Jager on a boat to camp, where they both were happy along the way, until they reached the harbor of New York and were forced into customs and regulations, the two were separated. Jager immediately began to see strange beings on-top of being confused by his surroundings and all of the strange things already present. Jager began to wander, and walked for hours. Slowly he came to the conclusion that he was lost, yet when he came to it, it felt surreal, as if he were to be lost on purpose, and as he looked left and right, standing in the street, he looked up at last, and there was a suit shop. Jager tried to cross the street, was almost hit by a car, but eventually managed to make it across the street. Upon reaching the front window of the closed shop, Jager looked in and saw a man bent over a table with clothe on it. At that point, Miki found Jager, whom fell into her arms, glad that she had found him. From there Jager and Miki went to Camp Half Blood.
When Jager and Miki reached Camp Half Blood, life was merry for Jager, aside from the fact that he was still bullied, slowly he grew, by the age of 15 he had led three quests, one for each year that he was at the camp, with Miki faithfully serving at his side on each quest. As Jager led quest after quest successfully, he was soon respected, and few dared to bully him without being fearful of repercussions. This carried on to the point that at age sixteen Jager challenged the counsellor of Aristaeus, and claimed the position until he was seventeen when he went on a final quest and never returned. Miki however, she as his satyress was on the quest with him, never returned to camp, for fear she would be ostracized for not returning with Jager...
Jager was never lost, not even when he was a child and saw the suit store, he knew where he was to be, he walked into a recruiting building for the US military, but because of his Irish birth-rite and never having discarded it, the US military would not accept him. Jager was somewhat disappointed, but he took the money that remained from pinching and saving on previous quests and saving the money he made from working at the suit shop in the city he saw as a child; the old man who owned the store had said from the time he hired Jager, that he looked familiar in some way, but how, he didn't know. Jager took a plane trip to Ireland, where, being a citizen he more than passed the aptitude tests for the military, and took special training to be a member of a private secret service, called, CoM, Clan of Men.
There Jager spent the next eight years in special operative missions, training new operatives, and saving the country of Ireland time and time again from invasive spies and other things. All the while he fought with monsters. However, fighting with the monsters was not as hard as he had perceived it would be during his camp years, as with him was a group of five men, four of which could see through the myst because of previous run-ins with god/desses or monsters along the way with Jager. The fifth however, could not see the myst but didn't mind not being able to see the beasts as long as the others and Jager filled him in on what happened. Jager assumed command of these men: Scottie, Kelby, Toby, Derek, and Charlie; they were his men until the fateful mission that left Jager in a jail cell in Pakistan.
The night was cold when Jager was broke out of the prison along with American and British operatives, the next day he was to be there was to be his last, he would have been killed. His men brought him a suit to change into as they had brought magically imbued suits which made their military gear translucent, and somewhat shimmery when light was shined upon them. Jager walked out while his men staked out their position, keeping tabs on Jager as he carried out business inside the prison camp, allocating for his lost identifications and other various objects of profession. He reacquired his pistol, his lighter, his pen, his umbrella and the few other items he kept on his person. He and his men left the facility, clearing out cell after cell of other prisoners, and then took an American convoy to an American military base, at which they spent a night.
After the night in the American base, they went to a bar, there, Jager met Cybele, being a gentelman he saw no reason to be promiscuous with her, yet she charmed him greatly, and he disappeared, his men couldn't find him. Jager fell for Cybele and gave into her charm, knowing the whole while that she was a goddess. He asked if he would have the child, and Cybele told Jager that he would. Jager walked back to the base, not even spending a night with Cybele, as she left him to go back to Olympus. Jager and his men took a plane back to Ireland, they, not being able to retire from their service in a sense, became a retired working man. Jager and his men bought up a housing settlement in a small town in Ireland. Then Augustus arrived a month after Cybele met with Jager. Jager was 27 (1993) when he received Augustus, the son of Cybele.
Upon receiving Augustus, whom Cybele delivered personally, Cybele made Jager promise to find work that would be suitable to bring up a demigod and train him to fight and be an honorable irishman. Jager complied with Cybele's wishes.
Almost two years later (1995), Hecate appeared on Jager's doorstep, asking him if he made women's suits, Jager was astonished that a woman would want one of his suits, but then he realized that this woman was different, she held an aura of power about her, and he welcomed her into his shop, which, was in his home. Hecate sat down at Jager's table, and talked with him, even Augustus came in and sat on Hecate's lap, Hecate told her name to Augustus, which Augustus pronounced correctly, his first word had been father, and his second was now Hecate. Jager was astonished, and asked why the "Mother Hecate" would come to visit him and his son in their humble abode. Hecate simply responded that there was business to be done that required putting Augustus to bed for a while. So Jager put Augustus to bed, and took Hecate to bed with himself, even now he was overcome with a sense of duty to give unto another goddess to bring forth another demigod child for himself to rear with his men.
Then it was that 2 weeks later, Hecate appeared to deliver the child herself. She told Jager the girl's name was to be Eraan, and that she was to be loved, to which, Jager agreed. Jager loved the children, he gave Augustus the nickname Gus, and Eraan called him Gustus while she was a toddler; Eraan was given the nickname Ann, by Kelby, who almost got Eraan to say her name while she was still young. Kelby was the one CoM group member who couldn't see through the mist, and as a result couldn't see that Eraan was a special child like her father and brother. As Augustus and Eraan grew, the men fought off monster after monster because of Jager's demigod presence, even Kelby grew proficient at picking out unnatural things in his human world, which he directly perceived as monsters, and generally was correct in her perceptions.
Augustus reached eight and Eraan was six when they first came to understand that monsters were real when Scottie and Derek suddenly drew swords and slew an old woman who was getting close to their father's backside. Yet when they saw the rags fall away dust floated in the air as wings became visible and deteriorated in the wind. They were scared, they were afraid, they didn't understand what was going on with this winged old hag that tried to hurt only got close to their father for Scottie and Derek to draw swords from no where and kill her.
August and Eraan reached ten and eight, respectively, and monster attacks became more and more common, from harpies, to fish men, to strange looking dogs, to even stranger looking birds. Yet, still the suit business flourished, Jager and his men continued in their way of making magical suits and regular suits for mortals who had no respect for magic and the deities above. Even as the children grew to thirteen and eleven, Augustus was taught to use his powers, honing them at an early age, causing them to strengthen him, and his constant work out schedule with his father created an inner strength and will that allowed him to use his powers more and more daily. Eraan however was allowed to feed her inner bookworm, she read book after book, and exercised for the mandatory two hours every day, yet books held a special place for her, and she kept a pocket book with magical things she wished she could do, as her father told her that she would at some point be able to make her own magic from her knowledge. How she would do that, she didn't know, she hadn't even been able to use her powers or make them apparent in any way other than her fingers would sometimes throw a spark or two if she thought about fire coming from her hands.
The children were taught various forms of hand to hand combat, trained to fight with special pens that transformed first into a knife, and then into a sword. The children continued to grow, and eventually they reached the ages of 22 and 20, they were out training with Scottie, Derek, Kelby, Charlie, Toby and their father Jager, then the dragon came....
The Dragon was massive, and from its breath poured blazing streams of fire and smoke. It landed right before them as they trained, smashing the mortal man who was able to see in the myst with its long snake like body. Scottie, Derek, Kelby, Charlie, Jager, Augustus and Eraan each backed away from the dragon and quickly leapt out of the way as a stream of fire erupted from the dragons mouth landing in the center of where they had all been standing.
Eraan made her self levitate, and used the levitation as a way to jump farther, as she moved around to the back side of the dragon to start summoning beams of magic to attack the dragon with. Kelby however, a son of Boreas, summoned an ice drake and began to throw ice spears at the dragons face, however the act made him weary and he stopped conjuring and throwing lances as the his drake fought against the Dragon at hand. Derek, son of Zeus, caused a sudden snow/sleet storm to appear, while it was cold for the demigods, Kelby and Derek continued to fight, while the Dragon's hide began to harden at the cold temperatures, breaking in places where Eraan's burning magic beams were hitting it.
Now Augustus decided it was his turn, and conjured two boulders that were roughtly as wide and tall as he was, and smashed them together upon the Dragon's back, greatly hurting the Dragon. At which point the Dragon lurched back and spewed forth a great stream of fire. The Dragon then slithered along the ground attempting to encompass the demigods, however it was suddenly struck by lightning thrice from Derek's well placed thunder cloud. This caused the Dragon to lurch back and Eraan conjured another beam of magical fire, and threw it right into the Dragon's eye, and it went through the Dragon's eye and out the back of its head. Augustus created two more boulders, one under the Dragon's head as it fell and another to fall ontop of its head, crushing the Dragon's neck, ultimately killing it.
It was at this point, that Jager decided it was time to take his children to camp, and so he bought plane tickets and took Eraan and Augustus to camp at the ages of 20 and 22....
