Personality

Vienna, to say the least, is a complicated young woman. She has the keen mind of Sherlock Holmes, the independent spirit of Princess Leia, the book smarts of Hermione Granger, and the ability to turn situations into good ones of Violet Baudelaire. These are just her main traits that show all the time, but she has quite a few walls up as well. Vienna is truthfully, quite gentle and helpful. She doesn't like to see anyone hurting, either physically or emotionally, and will do everything in her power to help them regain their full strength. This has been noticed to be a flaw of hers by her teachers, but at the same time, also a guide to help other students that they had long-since written off as helpless.

Vienna is also incredibly competitive. She has full confidence in her skills, despite their variety, and has the strategy-brain for even the hardest situations. It's something that has people confused at what she really is: a daughter of Psyche or a daughter of Athena. She is also extremely attached to her family, the ones she grew up with, and the extended branches scattered across the country, and will do everything in her power to help make sure they thrive and conquer whatever is placed in front of themselves.

History

Edward Lovell was never anything spectacular growing up. Average was the word most people would use to describe him; never on anyone's radar for any reason. He didn't have a plan in life and was happy to let himself be led by whatever forces of the universe there were. Little did he know that these forces had an interest in him. Why? His average-ness. Many a God and Goddess looked down upon him and found him to be interesting. After procreating with the socialites of societies and having kids that were ensured to be great someday, many deities looked for someone normal to have a kid with. Edward was the unlucky subject of four gods; Pheme, Ares, Thalia and Athena. The resulting children - Emily, Buck, Osborne and Constance respectively - each made Edward's life a little more interesting.

With Pheme being his first taste of the Greek world, Edward found himself thrown into a world he knew little about. Although Pheme never disclosed who she was exactly, she dropped enough hints for Edward to figure out for himself - if he had the prowess to do so. In true Edward Lovell fashion, however, he did not possess such prowess. In the end, after spending days trying to figure out who she was, he gave up and labelled her as some famous indie actress that he had to research after their fling was over. That's what he considered their love; a fling. Nothing permanent whatsoever. Needless to say that when Pheme turned up to his door barely three weeks after he last saw her with a child that she proclaimed to be his, he was stunned. Having no heart to abandon the child, Edward took her in and named her Emily. Only when Emily was roughly three did Edward finally make sense of the hints Pheme had dropped. You see, Emily was a dead ringer for Edward and that, for him, expelled any doubts of her paternity and thus his attention turned to the woman. Pheme stuck out in his head and, upon research, he was lead to none other than the goddess Pheme. Her mythical and powerful aura made sense for him, explaining there and then the three year question of how Emily got there so quickly.

Knowledge of Pheme and the Greek world through extension had made Edward a little more confident. Whilst he was still very much plain and average to everyone else around him, he had the self-gratifying fact that he bedded a Greek goddess and the one of fame at that. This added boost in confidence had attracted Ares to the man. Ares had been interested in Edward before (though plain-looking, Edward had robust features that Ares had some partial feelings to) but the newfound confidence sealed the deal on delivering a child. Unlike his obliviousness to Pheme, Edward was a lot more receptive to Ares' advances and identity and posed the same question over and over on how the god would give him a child. Of course Ares never relented any information and Edward had to sit and wait around after their series of hookups to see how such a child would be given to him. Sure enough, some month after he last saw Ares, the god arrived on his door for the final time with a baby boy. Again, stunned, Edward took the child in and named him Buck.

For the next few years Edward turned down a lot of Greek mythical figures. He had learnt from Ares that his life would be rough with two young demigods and, as a consequence, he was more than happy with just Emily and Buck in his life. Having a good paying office job allowed him to enrol them in a multitude of self-defence classes, even going as far as to give them swordsmanship lessons with a medieval fanatic. His reluctance to having more children with magical beings paid off; as Emily and Buck neared the early teens mark and were attacked, he felt safe knowing that they could handle themselves aptly. Sending the two off to boarding school during term time and then Camp Half-Blood during the summer at their own request, however, opened up the possibility for more gods and goddesses to see if they could chance their luck with Edward.

Thalia, the muse of comedy, was the next to conquer Edward. Though she radiated similar aura to both Pheme and Ares, Thalia wooed Edward with her array of comedic knowledge. It wasn't until after the two had hooked up enough times that Edward had realised he made the grave mistake of having a third demi-child. Was he mad? Not really. Did the thought of having a fourth to even things out cross his mind? Most definitely. He was in luck with the second thought as well; Athena had come along at the end of his relationship with Thalia and took an interest in him. She could sense a lot of buried, forgotten potential within him and was eager to bring it out. She held her identity in high regards with him, telling him exactly who she was and that, no, he wouldn't be able to have sex with her. With Athena's help, Edward was able to display skills that propelled him to the top of his career and, just like that, Athena vanished soon after. Not long after did Thalia return to his door, presenting his third demigod child. Naming him Osborne, Edward already began to preemptively look into the same courses that Emily and Buck had been enrolled in years prior. In the midst of hoping for a fourth and final mythical figure to take an interest in him, Edward was greeted by Athena at his home door after coming home from work. There she stood, miraculously, with a child in hand. She gave him no explanation and left him with the girl who she had taken the liberty of naming Constance.

Osborne and Constance definitely had the easier life growing up with their demigod abilities. Though they didn't come home often, Emily and Buck were always willing to teach them the tricks they knew alongside their younger siblings' paid classes. Subsequently, Osborne and Constance became increasingly proficient in a lot of demigod related things before attendance to Camp had really been considered by either of them.

All four children grew up to have incredible careers laid before them, each inspired by their parent. Emily found success as an actress, becoming a high-profile celebrity with a renowned ability to not crack under pressure and having a way with words. Buck became a high-ranking commander within the military, known for his answer for seemingly anything tactical based. Osborne, much like Emily, found success with fame - becoming a renowned comedian. Constance, whilst her siblings moved to accommodate their careers, became CEO of the major company her father had founded after accumulating enough financial success at his old company. Although each would bring their families (all ironically composed of demichildren) back to their father's home for Christmas and could revel in the similarities between them all, each Lovell child became known for being different to one another.

However, barely a few months after his latest promotion, Buck was out celebrating with a few other soldiers when he almost literally ran into the newest member of the base psychology department, a Camilla Grey, and to say the least, he was pretty much dumbstruck at first sight. She knew this, and despite her being the goddess Psyche, she continued to lead Buck on until that same night, they were rocking the bed with their nighttime activities. Camilla had vanished the next morning, unknown to Buck, until six months later, a small cradle appeared on his doorstep, holding a sleeping baby girl with a note stating that her name was Vienna and apologizing for vanishing so suddenly. Despite Buck's initial hesitance about taking in a completely strange baby that just appeared, his good nature won him over and he brought Vienna into his family without any questions asked, despite already raising another daughter. Vienna and Natasha basically connected straight away, despite the six-year age difference.

Vienna grew up quite normally, as much as normal can be on a military base with a large tactical presence. She was a particularly bright student in her own right, attending school at an exclusive academy for most of her school life, and leading boys on left and right. She knows she's beautiful. However, when she was turning ten, she had her first monster attack, almost right off of the school bus. Luckily for Vienna, her father had saw what was coming and defended his daughter from the attacking hellhound, before hurrying her home. Buck had sat down with both of his daughters, explaining what was happening, and what kind of surprises both could expect. After this little talk, he had given Vienna a Celestial bronze daggers to defend themselves when another attack happened.

The years passed quite quickly, with Vienna growing into a beautiful young woman of her own right, but with an independent spirit that rivaled that of her grandmother, Athena. As she grew, it seemed that every year she had an attack or sighting in one way or another, mostly occurring around the downtown areas for some strange reason. However, while she had fewer attacks than her sister, Natasha, Vienna still got plenty of practice with defensive moves. And so, when she turned sixteen, and Natasha twenty-two, Buck finally had enough of the almost-constant monster attacks, and sent a call for a satyr to come and escort both to Camp Half-Blood. They joined their various cabins, with Vienna joining the newly established Psyche cabin, while Natasha joined the Zeus cabin again, and both have barely been at Camp for a week.

Powers
Offensive
  1. Children of Psyche can apply temporary symptoms of emotional and mental disorders of their choice upon a target. The harsher the symptom and the longer it lasts, the more energy drained.
  2. Children of Psyche can create telekinetic weaponry (no bigger than 2-3 times the size of the user) that can be used in combat for a short time. The longer the weaponry is held together by the demigod's mind, the more energy drained. This can also be used for non-combative objects; however, it cannot generate working parts. Objects created by a child of Psyche may cause slight confusion on anyone who touches it.
Defensive
  1. Children of Psyche can form telekinetic protective spheres around themselves and others for a limited amount of time. The longer the sphere is held together by the demigod's mind, the more energy drained. Likewise, they can form telekinetic shields or walls, which are no bigger than 2-3 times their size.
  2. Children of Psyche can project a powerful psychic aura that induces neurocognitive deficit within a 3-meter radius. Anyone affected will have their upper brain functions shut down, rendering them unconscious. However, the user cannot attack or use other abilities while this one is in effect. All targets affected will automatically wake up, albeit feeling groggy and slightly disoriented, after a short time and the aura can only affect a person once a fight.
Supplementary
  1. Children of Psyche are able to read, manipulate, and communicate with the thoughts, emotions, and desires of targets for a limited time. They may establish mental links to at most 5 people; however, the connection will begin tapering off within a moderate radius. The more extreme the change, the longer it lasts, and the more people affected, the more energy is drained. Reading an opponent’s thoughts can be done, but it can only be done a few times before the user starts reading them incorrectly.
  2. Children of Psyche are able to mentally move inanimate objects. However, they cannot move objects that are 2-3 times bigger than their size. The bigger the object and/or the larger the distance covered, the more energy is drained.
  3. Children of Psyche are able to sprout butterfly wings that appear in accordance with the user’s preference. The longer they maintain the wings sprouted, the more energy it drains. The user must also rest in-between flights and cannot travel over long distances without resting often. Lastly, the wings are vulnerable to injuries and magic so these must be repaired regularly.
  4. Children of Psyche are able to manipulate mental, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral conditions at will. They can relieve, intensify, or detect symptoms of disorders such as depression, anxiety, amnesia, or mania; and even influence one's upper mental functions such as concentration, coordination, judgement, and calculation. However, these changes cannot be intensified to the point that the target considers self harm. The changes are only effective for a short period of time and cannot be used to cure or create such conditions on a permanent basis. The larger the change in one's mental state, the more energy is drained.
Passive
  1. Children of Psyche possess a clearer state of mind that grants them a high resistance for any manipulation of their thoughts, emotions and desires, magical or not. They also have a resistance against any mental or emotional disorders.
  2. Children of Psyche have a clear view of others' auras, allowing to sense human beings through their thoughts and emotions. They can track anyone within their "psychic radar" of sorts as long as the target is within a moderate radius. The appearance of one's aura differs from another, taking on a unique color and form. This passive ability also allows them to detect people who are possessed or whose mental/emotional state is altered by supernatural means (eidolons, charmspeak, persuasion, etc.).
  3. Children of Psyche are able to communicate with and command butterflies. If the user gives too many commands, the butterflies will become frustrated and disobey.
  4. Children of Psyche are empowered by the increasing intensity of emotions and thought processes around them.
  5. Children of Psyche can perform complex mental operations and recall greater amounts of information far beyond the capability of a normal human mind with little effort.
Month Powers (3/6/9 Locked)
  1. Children of Psyche can cause its target to mentally collapse by reliving traumatic memories, experiencing hallucinations or an overwhelming amount of emotions, hearing voices, and/or find it difficult to make use of their memories. The victim may fall into madness or become catatonic for a few minutes, depending on the intensity the user desires, before reverting to their original state, but its mind cannot be permanently damaged. The victim may still be able to resist attacks in this state, albeit barely. The longer the user keeps the victim psychologically tortured, the more energy it drains them.
  2. Children of Psyche can now take control over a person's mind. They can force actions upon a target (except harming themselves) and even probe deeper into the person's subconscious and memories. The target will remain under control for a few minutes or until control is relinquished; and the longer the control is kept, the more energy it drains. Being controlled feels like a dream and will be vaguely remembered. This ability is quite useful for intelligence-gathering, retrieving lost memories, and when controlling allies who are otherwise immobilized.
  3. Children of Psyche are able to use psychic force to materialize their soul into 5-6 semi-living constructs, no larger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user, that lasts for a short time to fight for the user. The construct's appearance is in accordance to the user's personality, thoughts, and emotions; and will behave in a manner similar to its owner. The longer the constructs are held together by the demigod's mind, the more energy drained.
