Well, just as we noticed with Calypso, Arachne isn't really a goddess according to most mythological canon sources, but rather a mortal-turned-spider. In the books, despite it being particularly the new ones, Arachne is treated as a monster. There has been dispute that some myths say that Arachne was turned into a goddess, but no reliable source has been found thus far saying so. Seeing as no characters will be affected by the removing Arachne as a goddess, it will be put up for a vote.

Just to note, the sources suggesting she was goddess of spiders, aren't "reliable" as they do not source any Greek texts, so there is no way to know their origins, despite finding it on a few websites.
I'm personally for it but what about the spider animal nymphs? What god/goddess would they be under? I would say Athena since she did curse Arachne, which is pretty much similar to why tortoises are Hermes' sacred animals.
