Ok, so here's the thing, there's quite a bit of controversey around some of the types of nymphs that have been created, they aren't necesarily unreasonable, but they aren't necesarily a "specific" thing in nature, and nymphs are supposed to be "nature" spirits.

'''Option #1:''' We leave things as they are

'''Option #2:''' So we know that at one point, the muses early on weren't "gods" and they encompassed things like music and such, so what if we separate nymphs, call anything that has a specific thing in nature, a nymph (tree, rain, lightning, etc), and anything that is more of an emotion, or something that, while it may occur in nature, isn't a specific thing, like music or communication, we call "spirits". No more powerful than nymphs, sort of like servants to the gods and goddesses whose scope encompasses those things.
